I own a tiago ev.. i see many people here are commenting with out owning a ev.. u should own and use before judging tata ev cars.. Who should buy- if u travel atleast 80- 100 km a day, then u should consider buying a ev if u think in terms of economics.. i am using it since 8 months , covered 25000 km.. so, if i use a petrol car that gives a milage of 15kmpl, it would have costed me 175000 on petrol.. but i spent only 25000 for power bill , saving 150000 during this time.. roughly 1 rupee for 1 km if charged at home.. if u charge at fast charge outside , it will be 2.5 rupee per km.. and coming to service , i got done 3 services till now and spent only 1000 rs for 3 services.. so running costs for ev are very cheap including services.. Driving comfort- They drive very smoothly, u dont feel like going to petrol cars once u used to it.. there is no jerky gear shifts, instant acceleration and silent drive are just awesome Problems- the main problem is the battery breakdown that can happen randomly in some cars.. it just happened once for me.. but we have a ev group, where some complain that their ev's have sudden drop in charging and car stops.. mostly happening with first batch of nexons .. some battery packs are glitchy and they stop suddenly.. and service centre commonly takes lot of time to get it repaired or replace battery.. u will suffer if u have only one car and facing this problem.. My tiago gives around 180-200 km range..against claimed range of 320km..24 kwh battery pack.. So , punch giving 300km is not bad.. U should consider if there is subsidy on road tax as some states have So should decide keeping these things in mind..
Punch EV Adventure LR price is 13.7 lakh on road which has all features and if your considering long runs it makes sense but the issue is if you're in a city the traffic is something that will haunt you whenever you drive your car. Now someone might take the car if they have to drive 80 Km a day. However, if you consider the amount of time in peak traffic in any city it will take approx 1.5 to 2 hrs daily which means 3 hrs a day they have to drive daily to recover what they have spent. Running Cost Rs.1 per kilometer. To recover 4.7 lakh and if your running is 80Km per day considering 22 day per month you will have to drive 21 thousand kilometers per year. To recover the 4.7 lakh you will have to drive 22k every year and for 20 years in an EV. Or when your comparing with petrol Automatic. To recover 4.7 Lakh you will have to do the following 1 Rs per KM - 22, 000 KM per year - 1rs per km*20(years) = 4.4 Lakh Let say if someone wants a car and they think puch is a better option and since EV does not have gear let's go with the base variant automatic which is 9 lakh on road . The remaining amount which is 4.7 lakh like someone suggested in the comment can be left for FD. Which gives you somewhere around 5 thousand rupees. Running cost Rs. 8 per Km. Let's say someone only drives the vehicle 10k kms per year that 40km per day. Petrol cost is Rs. 80000 thousand to recover what you have spent for EV in advance you will have drive the car 6 years to spend 4.7 Lakh in fuel cost. 8 Rs per Km - 10000KM per year - 8rs per km *6(years) = 4.7 Lakh Now Tata has introduced CNG atomatic Tiago CNG automatic is 10.5 lakh on road running cost comes to around Rs. 4 per kilometer so what ever money you spend in EV can be recovered if you drive CNG for 5 years 80 Km per day 4 Rs per KM - 21120KM - 4rs per km *5(years) = 4.6 Lakh Put that same amount in Mutual funds you will get 13 Lakhs after 10 years. EV's have to come down in cost for them to make a dent or become the future of mobility.
thanks for the awesome video very useful. Please make a video on adventure Medium Range battery on similar lines at the earliest and do let us know the difference of features as you find in practical use rather than mere word description (as done by brochures)
The real world range is unexpectedly lower than the claimed. Not worth. I don't understand why TATA is claiming 421km range. However, for you, I liked the fact that you did NOT say the 286km real range is GOOD, like others RU-vidrs are saying. So, thumbs up to you and your genuine content.
Thank you sir. So, claimed range by the testing agency is done is a very different condition. Dynamometer, indoors, no stopping at signals, no sudden acceleration or braking, no drag due to air or wind. Hence, claimed is always much higher than the actual.
@@JagranHiTech I agree. But there should not be a huge difference between claimed range and the real world range tested with eco mode, not sudden acceleration and breaking, with a decent speed, and proper regeneration use. According to me 80 to max 100km range different is accepted. So, maximum actual range should be between 310 to 330km. Lower than 300km range is not accepted given the price tag. I guess no RU-vidr has yet tested tata punch for maximum range with only eco mode. Majority of Indians may shift to EV for it's lowest cost of running. And they don't want to keep two vehicles for city run and long tours. they can only keep single vehicle and their first priority is range, not the so called advance features. When will these brands understand this.
EVs are good if you have a separate petrol car for highways or if you can hire rental for highways/long rides. But not good for those who wish to have only one car for both city and highways. Also, best would be for those who have two cars in the family for multiple members. Then the second car should definitely be an EV.
I think you need to open even the rear window a bit for getting more range and having a better air flow experience. Other than that, its a great attempt covering all the details of the car. One quick question, Does Empowered LR variant support maps display on the speedometer console?
Real world range should be done with at least 3 person on board. In 3 phases 1. City. 2. 90%with proper highway In India specific climate ac is mandatory 🙏
When Mahindra claimed 456 kmls and given 280 to 300 km in 21 lkh no one commented on the range of Mahindra XUV 400 but now every one booking on tata punch...atleast tata launching vehicle very much earlie
It's better to buy ignis sigma 5.5 lacs on road than buying 17 lacs for ev and in remaining 11.5 lacs put it FD @8 percent and put free fuel for monthly interest of 7666 rs every month and run 1500 km free for every month.. isn't it cheaper than ev ?
We earn for family na...one will not have to worry when ur kids n parents are travelling in Punch.. buying non safe car is like risking their lives for saving few lacs na...kya bolte ho dost?
why waste so much moeny on Zero star Ignis, but TIN-CAN alto save 12 lakh save and put in FD and enjoy in your old age. also sell your kidneys if you like
TATA has using Logical Fallacy statement by claiming 421km range which is not compensating in this price point, EV is still in pre mature state, let it more apt in term of Tech!
350 nahi, kam se kam 500 km single charge normal running range चाहिए, 4 लोगों ke saath, full luggage, high beam aur wipers on रखकर kam se kam 500 km ka range, quick charging 30 ya 40 minutes, issse jyada नहीं.
Wo sab to thik hai par apne gaana kyun nahi bajaya 10:49 gaadi ki motor aur ac ko chodke dusre sab electronics bonet ke andar wali dusri battery se chalte hai 😁
Very bad range.. ac turned off all the time.. no use of music and other connectivity features done by host.. one should not worry about range once we hit the long routes.. better buy petrol for occasional long range trip users and cng for regular long range users.. ev's should come within price point of 8lacs on road with real world range 250kms range.. then only one will get to enjoy all the features in city limits only ... for long trips its big no with ac turned off..
you never drove an ev, ask any owner ev's are not ment for highway, they give less range because constant power discharging. punch.ev is made for city because small battery and slow DC charging compared to NexonEV
IT'S A BEST CITY CAR. I HAVE RARELY TRAVEL MORE THAN 400 KM IN DAY. FOR ME THIS CAR IS BEST. EVEN IF YOU TRAVEL MORE THAN 400 KM 2 TIMES IN A YEAR. THIS CAR IS FOR U. SINCE YOU CAN RENT CAR FOR THOSE 2 TIMES. STILL SAVINGS WILL BE SUBSTANTIAL. PETROL WILL REACH 150 BY 2028 DUE TO PARIS CLIMATE CONFERENCE Agreement
