Bring on the dislikes, kidz. Rangers hate the ban and are on my side, if you hate losing to Rangers you're not and you dislike. The fact remains that this is only a problem because of Lexi, and that this should have been a suspension and not a ban. If you disagree? Fair enough, that's your right. Keep 'em coming, it's all engagement.

The thing i see the most with this bull's eye bracers ban is just an "we can only allow majestic and legendary cards to be strong, and even majestics can't be too strong in comparison to a legendary" vision to the game... Codex of frailty, for example, is clearly a problem card and it performs way better than it should... but OF COURSE that the common, accessible card is the one that should take the hammer, god forbid you touch an rarer card to mess with some players "investment" on it

I think bullseye bracers and three of a kind was built under the paradigm of a single use bow. I don't think. Lexi was even a twinkle in James White's eye when they came up with several Ranger cards

This absolutely hurts Azalea worse than Lexi or Riptide. If the problem is Lexi they should have targeted something only Lexi can use.

I don’t know if you ever listened to Bryan’s (now former as of two weeks ago) MtG podcast, but he actually said in his final podcast (paraphrasing) that if content creators had questions about why designers made certain cards or decisions, just ask him to come on the show - he’d love to talk about his decisions! You should invite him on, because it was never allowed to be a full focus on the MtG podcast, however he did sometimes praise LSS’s system for monitoring formats, their use of language, transparency, etc. It would be a great episode! As for these decisions, I really haven’t played FaB at all in recent months but I honestly don’t think Azalea has a good enough alternative arm piece to replace Bull’s Eye 1-for-1. In addition, I understand Skelata’s limiting the Runeblade designs - PLEASE do limit Runeblade designs!! Their pool is still so deep and so strong while other classes (Brute, cough, cough) need a ton of attention!!

I dont get the confusion between "ban" and "suspension" Suspension is accompanied with a "until X happens" bans are not. They dont mean they cant be changed? Why would we want to have an immutable ban list to not be able to unban things in a later state of the game or if the card was the wrong ban/had unwanted impact? That said, yeah if they say it like that they could have gone with suspended until next BnS like with stromstriders in blitz

I'm interested to see how ranger players adjust to this but my guess is we just grab a new arm piece and 85% of the time nothing changes. not breaking Bull's Eye Bracers is already an established part of the Lexi gameplan. A bummer about the runeblade matchup though, I guess we will all be getting more use out of Trench.

The way I read banned is "Don't hold your breath for this to ever come back" where as suspended is "This card would probably be fine on it's own but the current meta makes it broken, this card could definitely come back if that is resolved but is currently suspended for the health of the game". I must have missed your video where you talked about Drone, I feel it's great for blitz as with only 20 life its a lot harder to build more fatigue style decks. I do accept though that not everyone enjoys that.

I think you said it right with comment on 3 of a kind. The key piece to those over powering Lexi turns is the one or two 3 of a kinds played from hand and in the second arsenal slot having the rain razors. 3 of a kind is the key piece to getting the resources and extra arrows needed for the big turn to happen.

I think suspension has a limited, and defined timeframe, but ban has no defined timeframe, it will be banned until it becomes unbanned.

Definitely think this hurts Azalea more than Lexi & I’m sure there could be a better way of bringing Lexi down a peg or 2 without affecting Azalea so much… ‘Banned’ and ‘suspended’ seem to be used fairly interchangeably in these announcements… Just bad English!!

This is dumb. And I mean just dumb. "lets hit the high roll lexi." They just nerfed the entire ranger class. Just ban three of a kind and call it a day. This is just plain dumb. Ban one of maybe 10 other cards in her arsenal.

I originally wanted 3oak gone, but once i saw this ban i sat back and thought about what would happen if 3oak was hit instead and i truly believe lexi would have just fell off the face of the planet. Bolt n shot would have probably been a better target than bracers, but i like this alternative to lower her power level than just axing her needed majestics. I hate lexi btw, but i dont want to drive players away that love the hero

Definitely a strange announcement they even made it sound like this ban would be subject to change with how the new dusk til dawn meta shakes out.

Banning a penny’s worth card over one that has value is probably the “kinder” call in regards to the money people spend. (Premium versions notwithstanding)

Taken from the official flesh and blood site... "Flesh and Blood uses a revolving card legality model where cards flow in and out of being legal for tournament play." This doesnt seem very surprising at all really.

I agree with the banned vs suspended. When Lexi becomes LL I have a feeling that the bracers will be unbanned since the other Rangers are not top tier, so why not call it suspended. As a Riptide main and a new fab player I am not happy about losing the bracers. I know it's easy for riptide to load compared to other Rangers but the combo with bolt'n shot is nice.

I don’t think you’re wrong, I think with the reversal of drone, they should’ve taken. The word banned differently. Before drone got unbanned it would make sense but after then they have to consider if they mean banned indefinitely or suspended for the foreseeable future. That being said YuGiOh banned and unbanned a bunch of cards throughout the years. I also think they should’ve banned 3 of a kind instead of the only arms for Azalea, there’s hornet’s sting but that’s no good really

Everyone knows that 3oak or other cards are the problem. It seems that the focus is really on their value in the secondary market. Strange policy.

Not a ranger main but this ban seems excessive. If I have a criticism of LSS at all is they seem very ban heavy. I wish they'd slow down and let the meta develop a little more.

In the end it doesn't matter, but I agree that it is weird to "ban" this card instead of suspend it since they have 2 caregories. I think ban should be used for design mistakes that will very likely never see the light of day again and suspended should be used when they are trying to fix the meta a little bit.

3oak is a card well above rate, the notion that limiting how you can play it doesnt offset the card draw when you have voltaire and instant pumps

Yeah this does a lot to Lexi and is an amazing fix for her, but does considerable splash damage. What we criticise as a rarity issue is imo something that stems from the system of how heroes get their power and identity, via Ls and Ms, the latter 3 per deck, the strong ones are paramount to the power of their playstyle and hero identity. You don't necessarily do that as it hurts the decks that you want people to want to play for a reason, and Ms are arguably more important than Ls as they are generally more obtainable. You can not ban Boltyn's Lumina or V if he's too good can you. You don't kill a 2 card package for a hero to assemble their version of CMH if the hero has a limit on attacks via their non-weapon and has to push them through a different zone for added cost. You limit what makes these key playlines for the hero bs and over the top and that's exactly what happens here. They acknowledge that splash damage happens but it is the most beneficial to keeping identity of that hero without destroying that of the others while they still, unfortunately, loose flexibility. If you regard Endless Arrow as the problem of these lines and ban it you don't stifle those ceilings and you give her a second Uzuri level matchup, but you got closer to the problem card with that thought. And it is clearly mentioned upfront that the ceiling is the issue, if at all (but that's another topic). Like it could be that communication on their side is flawed if you're that baffled, but it also seems like a bit of an unnecessary harping on semantics. This reads basically like a suspension until Lexi is LL, if that's an oversight because they were focused on the best decision/argumentation I don't care it doesn't matter and it's not worth throwing a tantrum at them for and they will certainly adjust this placement on the next BnS if the evaluation holds as they directly state this is under immanent scrutiny.

Banned until we know whether this is the best way to nerf Voltaire or not is my general takeaway. Its clear from the notes that the real issue is the GA on load. Once per game 0 for 5 is seriously great value but it isn't what makes Lexi tier 1 as a hero. Losing a valuable AB slot with utility is what hurts the most

I noticed there is a Banned and Suspended page for players (by Gem ID)... This unbanning precedent could be the catalyst for those 4 cheaters to start hounding LSS for them to be unbanned right? I mean clearly they are showing the word has no long term meaning in the game 🤦‍♂️

I agree that the unbanning of cards makes no sense. If it’s banned… it’s banned. I do think there are multiple correct paths to the best card limits. I think 3oak being a lexi card is good for ranger, she is the only one who really leverages it. Aza gets a lot of value with toxic tips imo so we’ll see how the removal of oldhim shifts the meta and potential of aza/rip/lexi now that katsu, dori etc have a better shot

I have hope skeleta Will come back now that they said it's banned.... I mean what is the percentage of banned cards that have been unbanned? It's probably higher than the ones that have been suspended
