@@fomocowboy if a cop sees you racing and pulls you over but the other car gets away or doesnt pull over with you (ar least it's this way in my state) then they can only issue you a ticket based on visual speed assessment. If they catch you and the car racing and pull you both over they can impound both cars and its immediate jail time and license suspension for up to 20 years. Some cops are cool and just issue a ticket and say if they see you or catch you again they'll take your ride and your freedom lol.
LOL...been there done that (110 in a 55 racing a Trans Am in 1989)... Officer was cool about it, wrote me for 10 over he said because I was winning. I earned it, paid the fine and went on.

@@davehelmick7395 you definitely should have kept it. Like so many cars I had when I was younger. I would be rich with what they sell for now. Cars that you could get for practically nothing back in the late 80’s early 90’s. Now worth a small fortune. 🤦♂️

nice run I built a 83 ranger back in 89 with a 5.0 and trans out of mustang, V-8 rangers were rare back then the mustangs hated me that's why I built it

That ranger sounds great and looks very wicked n fun to drive. Nice build n sucks about the cop part for sure. My ticket in my 91 notch with beefed up 351w was 117 in a 35 n was well worth every penny

@@gregorylong3137 the explorer v8 from a 96-01 Is a drop in. Ford did a ton of work to make that little v8 fit cleanly in a ranger size bay, get ahold of one, take all the ranger special parts and add them to a better block and go from there
Kick ass Ranger buddy! Just too damn bad that it had to end that way. I hope that the police officer was nice about it and hopefully was a car enthusiast himself / herself! Wisdom says next time, I think I'll take it to the track and do this, I don't want to see my pride and joy impounded and go to jail myself. I think we're all guilty of doing this though, LOL, I know I have.... but damn.... that Wisdom though, that kicks in with age.... there's just something about it, that we all need. Don't give up so easily, could've not jammed the brakes in front of police, that makes it look even more obvious that you're doing something bad. Had you just lifted throttle back a bit, and had she still pulled you over, just play dumb, act, to "play" that you were accelerating up a hill, play it off that your truck is under-powered and that Mustang wouldn't let you over to the right, and that you needed to make it up the hill cause you're running on misfiring cylinders(and that's why you were needing WOT, cause the other cylinders have to work extra hard to compensate).
Was just watching some ranger vids then stumbled across this one.... To then realize your cruising right down hwy 59 in Waukesha. you got pulled over right by my house also lol. Sweet truck. What motor you got in that beast?
