Great breakdown of rank and rent, Matt. It made me realise there’s much more work involved than I originally thought. This is a great intro roadmap for anyone who’s interested in getting into it.
@@MintedEmpire Yeah, these business gurus sell their courses for like $5,000 but it’s stupid to pay that much. You can actually find a full A-Z course for $20-$40.
Great content in a short amount of time thanks Matt! You mentioned copy/paste for niches/cities-- How does that work exactly for example if I have roofers in joliet, il I can technically clone the site and tweek some content and reset for another city or does every site require being built from ground up--thanks for your reply.
the only thing I'm thinking is Let's say I find a niche you want to rank for and you start doing all the work trying to rank for that local kw and I'm gonna even buying an exact domain to increase the chances of ranking. what if at the end when you pitch the kw nobody is interested? what are you gonna do with that exact domain? For how many kw ideally do you want to rank for average? How many articles roughly you publish? Do you do the only kw with high commercial intent or info content as well? Do you create content or landing pages usually for those websites?
Great questions by the way! You have right idea. While doing the keyword research just be sure to pick a keyword/domain name with a lot of search volume. That way you know there is enough potential traffic to be converted into ACTUAL PHONE CALLS! Also if the volume is too low, you can always add several keywords to the website to attract enought customers. The key is the "main keyword". That keyword will match your domain, The H1 and be scattered in the content.
Hey Matt, awesome video. I have a question though. As my website ranks up on google, it is very likely to start receiving customer calls. Not being a real business, these calls will go unanswered until I rent it out to some real business. These unanswered calls/emails from clients can easily turn into bad reviews and eventually drop in the ranking even before going up. What is the solution for this?
If you’re receiving calls then you should have someone you’re selling the leads to. In the case that you haven’t sorted that out or your in between partners, put up a messaging service that collects their name and number and says you’ll get back to them when your service isn’t overbooked.
@@rgasta7765 Well, I have not been into this now. GMBs got suspended for couple of sites. Could not manage to sell leads for a site that was doing well. Eventually that too lost rank.
I'm was looking to get into the rank and rent business model and I read on a site that it's been around for over 15 years, which begs the question: is the market oversaturated for those of us just starting out?
Hey Matt! Awesome video I think I'm going to try and do this. Do you think I should start with the free Wordpress plan or start with something more professional like the business plan for creating a website? I don't want to do the bare minimum and see zero results so I'm willing to pay a little more only if it's necessary
I've never understood this! In particular, now that we've bought a fake address from someone (already weird), we are then going to put their address into several, perhaps many, business directories to generate citations? Doesn't that seem a bit ... off?
I think that's the point of this type of lead-gen site. Your only concern is setting up the site and getting the leads to sell. Whether the buyer converts those leads is their business.
@@sherwinramnarine169 that's the minimum tho. Different levels and processes when you're contract is just rent and forget, pay per lead, or commission based. That's what I'm curious about. I've seen platforms and strats to manage leads and manage your client managing leads, curious everyones SOPs.
Rented the like button. Same rules apply for doing local SEO rank and rent in developing and foreign languages countries (e.g Morocco)? What are the differences for those?
I cant seem to find an answer to this: so if i create a website for landscaping for example with my own logo, wont customers get confused if a different company with a different logo and name shows up for service ? Can someone please explain this to me thank you.
I've watched about 10 videos on this and I can't understand this part. So I just create a fake company and offer fake services and hope the customer doesn't realize when a completely different company contacts them?
@@thomasc2532 the only thing I can think of is setting the right expectation for customers or viewers of what the website really is about, but every rank and rent content out doesn’t break this down. Or the other option is to use company logo you have rented the website to. Or just not include any logo at all. I feel like I am missing something with this.
Great question! You can create your own DBA (doing business as) and a nice logo. This should all match so the customer does not get confused about the "brand". Then just encourage your lead buyer to use that name when they answer the phone. You can change the caller ID to show your number (your digital marketing business) so the lead buyer knows how to "handle the call".
Hi Matt, Great video, I am looking to start the Rank and Rent business model but not very good in web design myself. Do you recommend I pay a web design agency to build me a local website in my chosen niche? I know it is an extra cost for me to start but surely it will pay off once the website starts to rank and once I get a paying client? Also, out of interest, what web builder do you use to create the websites? I will greatly appreciate your response. Thanks!
Hi, hey I have a question for you, to see the competition with the exact keyword, I use the intitle command in google, and so I see if there are less than 20 people that I can rank very fast, but I wanted to ask you if you know of a tool (software) or a way to use that command for example with an excel list, and so I can check many key phrases with the intitle command at once, so seeing the amount of competitors that google shows me I will see how easy or difficult I can rank to the top, greetings and thanks in advance
Hi Matt. Can be use a high DR website with great backlink profile to rank for different services for a particular city? (It’s a PMD with the city name there) and can i apply for different GMBs for each of those pages?
Good content Matt! I'm just starting out my journey and see the value in this skill and service. Wish I would have started a while back. I would love to sell leads if someone needs a broker please contact me. Or if you need assistance with the sales part of rank and rent--I'd love to help out.
It's hard to get a GMB now since they changed things. I tried to get a GMB for a HVAC company which I was going to rent out. No post card, No text or call, they wanted me to video my HVAC business which I don't have.
Affiliatelab.im is my affiliate course. After making that and realizing there's a ton more money in actually doing it, than teaching it... I won't be doing any more courses. :p That said, teaching is fun and rewarding, so I may change my mind.
Hi Matt, What's your opinion on ethicalness of this model? So many people including most of the SEO agencies considers lead gen sites/GMB's as fake/spam and even report such GMB's (so they can outrank their client's GMB above ours), Google is also actively deleting such GMB's now a days, just want to know what do you think about it.
Hey Matt great video as always.. I have one question. I want to rank a compatitive micro niche site.. can I add 20 or 30 or more supporting articles for topical releveceny? Or it should be max 5? And won't it create a canonical issue that we are talking about protein supplements in all supporting pages? Please eloborate it. Thanks
I love the idea but any thoughts on the recrnt google updates booting people off gmb's for emd / rank and rent setup? Also thougts on address for the location ?
@@MattDiggity Hey Matt, I've heard that I can't access my Gmb account from another country. If I want to setup a GMB listing for a business in canada, and I access it from India, will my account be suspended?
Hey Matt, great video! Would this method work on PPL setup for a site which has masses of rankings for different industries? My site is for a whole city in the Uk and has rankings like dentist + location, electric bike hire location, best afternoon tea location etc. It’s essentially a best X site for the city. I haven’t even monetised yet but I imagined a fee of £20-30 a month for each company who is listed on the page. Appreciate your thoughts, as a fellow SEO
In content explorer, you selected the filter of minimum referring domains 5 and minimum traffic 100. However, what about the DR? Because there are DR 70+ websites showing after the filter, and you said it's easy to rank these keywords. 😅
Even if you have high DR website, it's not an issue if those websites are directories like HA or Yelp. That usually means there are no better alternatives to rank, and those pages are weak in terms of content, relevance and links. As stated in the video, PR is a better thing to pay attention to, but even then - be happy if you see a lot of "authority" directories in the top 10 results of your chosen query.
@@MattDiggity thanks you just have away all the secret sauce to rank and rent and even a step by step to rank for local client SEO no the cat out the bag better change from local now hahaha cheers buddy loved the video
I actually don't recommend showing any of your "assets". That means no website URL's, No analytics, No GMB/GBPs. Don't do it. Instead you can take a screenshot of a generic website you have ranked and use it over and over. Sharing a website can really ruin your high conversion rate. They don't need to see any of that. Let them get free calls. Let the calls do the talking!
What about adding a services page to an existing niche/authority website to rank for services and then sell them leads off? Would this be wise or would it have a negative impact on your existing non geo specific content?
What your thoughts on Ai Generated content through Jarvis ai? With human check like proofreading, Grammer, plagiarism. Do you think it will hurt website in long run if Google release any update related to Ai written content? Please Neil Answer this. Its very important for me. Cheers,
I've actually used Jarvis. Its a great tool however it takes quite of bit tweaking. For example have it write a paragraph based some inputs such as, "How To Create Beautiful Landscaping To Sell Sell Your Home". And right in front of your eyes it will right a few senteces about that topic. The trouble is you must keep changing topics and keywords in order for it to sound natural. If you don't it will end up repeating lines and just flat out sounding weird.
