I think warrior within was so good with story , mysteries adventures and twist which lead to unreal expectations for two thrones. Hence people rate it slightly less, it was still a great game
@@super_editzz6609 ikr being chased by a black man in a large black enormous suit of armour with black ropes attacking you is the last thing you would want in this world
At this point, it would be kinda cool if they took a break from the AC franchise and reboot the POP franchise, cause even thought I love the AC franchise to death, especially the older games, I would like to see something like a trilogy of POP games which have a very well written story, something the likes of Prince of Persia Sands of Time combined with the overall feeling of the 2008 one and very strong gameplay, they could implement the upgrade and combat system from The Forgotten Sands which I think its pretty damn good and the parkour of any of the games really, whichever one they feel like using and evolving, only just not like in the new AC games lol
@@butnobodycame7022should’ve combined em. Made the ac series and prince of Persia in the same universe. Would’ve been cool if in one of the ac games you can see him.
@@BROWHOTFEVENAREUILLKISSYOURSIS oh yea for sure, but hey who knows maybe they already are, there is a mission in AC Odyssey literally named Prince of Persia, while it could be just a fun reference, it could also mean something more
@@robinanwaldtis there a reason you’re commenting multiple times to people on here to say it’s story was shit? Like move on, you don’t like the game cool. People have a different opinion about it than you. What are you upset your favorite isn’t being talked about as a masterpiece? Dont understand the point of doing this lol
@@ImNelzy Well, it’s a month ago that I commented here and it was only a few times. I just think WW gets underserved praise as a masterpiece far too often and that that’s emblematic of a huge problem within the fandom in terms of what’s deemed acceptable or standard.
@@robinanwaldt It has a great combat system....... So hush..... No one cares about some damn plot..... Just watch a fucking movie or some boring cinematic cutscene type of games like Last of us
The visual design of the 2008 remake was mazing, and it looked pretty enough to be published even today. Maybe not the most challenging gameplay, but I really enjoyed it
@@5weating_8ullets Remake was probably the wrong term, reboot maybe? Anyway I mean the 2008 game just called "Prince of Persia" which is shown here in the short
It was a good game. My first ever platinum trophy, super easy to get. The combat was basic and platforming was way too forgiving with zero deaths but it was a very relaxing game to play
@@aninfinitemindofmusicandreamsPlaying with Elika was Fun, Double combo and Multiple Sudden Strikes made it more fun and moreover they interaction with Elika gave life to the game. I personally liked the Prince,he is very brave .
Yeah it was a *SUPER* beautiful game. It felt like a arcade sequence sometimes but without a pause menu and just seamless. It was like Onrails alot and therefore showed a very good story visually too. A rollercoaster style game.
I understand a million percent why 2008 was polarizing, but god dammit, it was one of the most charming games of all time. The weight of every attack and maneuver, the dynamic between him and Elika and the general art style and lore were fantastic. Warrior within has that sexy ass girl who was almost naked though and that alone makes it top tier.
I thought about a remake of WW and I imagine what if the island of time was an slowly opening world like RE2 Remake and the Dahaka had Mr. X movement and programing.
@@sloth6925 the island of time would be rather hard to be open world only if they add babylon but its a very good single player game no need to ruin it with patches
Finally someone who liked reboot. There were some things I would've changed like more linear gameplay, scrap boss-only combat and add suicide as a final option for ending, but the parkour, artsyle, lore and Elika were so good I am willing to overlook some of its flaws.
I’ve seen it the screenshot and the one thing I don’t like it is his hair style. It’s not bad, it just reminds me of cyberpunk hair style. Better if they change it into The Two Thrones hair style. About the gameplay haven’t seen it
Finally Warrior Within getting the respect it deserves. All the haters back then kept complaining that it wasn't like the first one and I'm over here like "Dude just lost everything and is being hunted down by a time demon. The fuck you want him to be, cheerful?" Warrior Within is the best of the original 3 hands down.
@@apokkalyps6 Ah yes, GOG is really famous for its crashes even for the most recent games, I personally never had any problems playing the game on GameCube back in the days, didn't hear any complains about PS2 too, maybe try it on emulator or just crack it (Ubisoft don't need your money trust me).
I been hearing people bash the warrior within for years and now everyones all the sudden loves it. I am smelling some bull. I loved the warrior within. Loved 2008 pop.
Yeah I could have sworn it’s was like a 50/50 split or 60/40 (people hating it majority) it’s my favorite in the series. The combat was ahead of its time, I think two thrown is a great but kinda a downgrade in the fighting. Maybe cause of the variety of weapons? I don’t know. For me it’s 1. WW 2. SoT 3. Two thrones. SoT was my first game for the series. I think most of the people like it now cause we’ve all grown up and can release how good it was. As a kid I could understand not liking it, it was a darker tone. I think the first 3 are interchangeable for goat though
I was 11 when I played it the first time. We didnt have a memory card back then and had a problem with power outage lol I'd wake up at 5 every morning and continue playing hoping I would finish before the next outage at 11 and damn I'd be at the Tower of Dawn everytime when the lights would go😂 one day I managed to finish it🎉
@@WorkedSix28zerozero1two thrones was mature with it's story telling. No wonder why kids didn't like it. But for me both two thrones and WW are epic. Still would rank two thrones at first place. Maybe cuz that was my first ever POP game.
Sands of time was my first. I loved it, warrior within is my favorite and probably the best. I really like two thrones but I’d have to rank it 3rd. But tbh they can all be sliced any way I think them 3 are good enough to be interchangeable.
Вариор Визин считаю самой лучшей, помню как в детстве играли в нее , потом выходили и узнавали друг у друга как пройти локацию , боевка хорошая, загадок много, очень интересно было.
@@TorturedMongoose2003 It absolutely is a trilogy since only 3 of them are canonically linked. Forgotten Sands and 2008 have nothing to do with the OG games.
@silasbertrand764 You said Sands of Time trilogy is not a trilogy, which is wrong, except you're being unnecessarily technical with the terms then yes, you are right. It's one game not a trilogy but... we all know what we're talking about here...
The reboot was my fav. I know people hated it because you couldn't technically die. All they did was save you time by restarting your last jump instead of cutting to a your dead screen to only press continue. Devs helped people out and all they did was complain
Not really ,if you did die in the sands of time without timesand left you had a checkpoint which was a savepoint like in other games. Prince of Persia 2008 dying was impossible. Fights couldn't be lost, parkour wasn't challenging. That was the problem. Beside that I think people loved it. It was a good game.
I honestly think the 2008 reboot was ahead of its time. As much as I enjoyed that game, I get why it didn't do well at the time. But in today's tumultuous world where everyone's baseline is inches from emotional and mental burnout, a game like the 2008 PoP where you could just kick back and enjoy the ride would be very well received
The two thrones is the first one I played when I was like 6 years old and its been my favourite game ever since. Very sad to see what they have done to the series :(
Thank god people have finally stopped holding back praise for PoP '08. I get that it was a departure from what had come before but it was such a cool game in its own right
One of the only series where every game is almost a fan favorite for some reason. I just hope in the remake the combat is completely done differently to be a little more realistic and that they keep the old parkour with new features.
me too, but maybe it's a good thing, seeing how ac is doing nowadays. if pop was still around we'd probably be buying sand credits or some silly thing like that I do still want them to revive the series and I really hope the remake is in good hands
Sadly they buried Prince Of Persia by giving it a bad 2008 reboot, thdy tried to bring Prince Of Persia back to life in 2010 with a decent/good movie [Which wasn't accurate to the game but was a cool movie] and the "Forgotten Sands" prequel video game which Prince Of Persia fans didn't liked at all. Hope Ubisoft cancels this shitty 2D Prince Of Persia videogame which instead of the Prince has a dreadlock black guy who does not look nothing like the Prince
Warrior within is one of the best sequels imo! The music and atmosphere were perfect, i wish we could've gotten more character development with shahdee and kaileena tho
Yeah they were disappointed by the graphics…and has been delayed since. I think the graphics for the environment were BEAUTIFUL. But character models I could understand people’s complaint but I don’t think it was AS BAD as they were making it to be.
I never finished it neither. 60 minutes was such a short period of time for a 6 years old kid trying to learn how to play on PC but hey thanks for me bothering my parents to go to the booth [A place to call people outside the country and to use and play on computers] they ended up buying me my first ever console, Ps2, and my first ever video game, Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time
I like them all but Warrior Within will always be my favorite. The darker atmosphere, amazing music and gameplay, very good graphics for the time, Dahaka and the hidden ending wich turned out to be canon as seen in Two Thrones.
Man i could not put into words how much I love popt2t like coming from school and hoping on the computer to play this masterpiece And the story/plot was also really Good For me it's the perfect game
The thrill of slicing enemies, the excitement of searching for a new weapon and The fear of dahaka. Prince of Persia warrior within is the goat.... and also the seduction of shahdee😂😩
THE BEST GAMES OF POP IN MY OPINION AND REASONS: The Forgotten Sands - Completely different storyline but so fun!!! Warrior Within - Dahaka, So many swords, so many enemies, so much action!!! 2018 - OMG ITS SUCH A BIG WORLD AND SO MUCH TO DOOOO The Two Thrones - Basically turning into a sand monster and well.. the storyline
Sands of Time and Warrior Within were the best for me. Sands has an amazing story, an atmosphere of mystery yet colorful, the dagger combat to freeze or finish enemies has a great flow to it, and you have Prince and Farah's dialogues and dynamic. Warrior Within has Prince reflecting on the tragedy of his own making, the Island of Time is super well thought in level design, the combat is deep, and of course, Dahaka who gave me nightmares as a kid lol. I keep coming back for both games, they give completely different experiences of their own, can't replace one for the other.
I honestly can’t believe how ahead of its time Panzer Zwei is, the systems are tightly integrated and push the player into a very modern kind of completist mindset. AND the story is incredibly moving in a way that I can’t help but feel inspired the feel of the How to Train Your Dragon films. If any Panzer game was to be remade/used as the basis for a new installment, Zwei already has everything you’d need baked in.
