@@Nobody-e6e So unfortunately, when I try to edit the comment now, I get a "Returned error" messages in red. Could mean a lot of things - most likely youtube is just having some trouble with the comment, probably due to its size lmao. I tried when you sent it, and gave it a day just to be sure, but it looks like it's gonna be stuck there unfortunately :( Thanks for letting me know anyway!
You are a legend and this is the best ranking video. No one else before you gave a full view on all the decks. This is the only video that everyone needs to see
Dear Konami, Please bring together your entire card development team - just for one day - and show them this video. Let them jot down the deck archetypes they find interesting (no matter where they rank on this list but the lower the better for this thought experiment: 8s and 9s are pretty good where they are already), and have them spend the 2nd half of that day coming up with 2-5 cards per archetype they jotted down to boost power, consistency or resiliency. The number of unplayable decks that could be casual, casual decks having cracks filled in to sneak into rogue, and even weaker rogue decks becoming viable as meta options would mean a more diverse and exciting state of play for players, and you'll have enough "normal filler" cards as existing archetype support to fill about 3 years worth of boxes off just one day of thought exercises and one video of a man slowly losing his sanity to your game (you might want to send him a fruit basket for that). Signed, Any Yu-Gi-Oh player that wants to play something other than Meta and High Rogue.
I would like to think Konami has learned the simple lesson of "you can make it as broken as you like, just make it VERY archetype specific" by now, but it's Konami so... yeah...
Hot take, this will do nothing. I've lost count the amount of times casual tier decks became rogue or meta viable, and the casual player base turned against it and labeled it the new boring meta.
I'm impressed by the work you put on these series, definitely one the best videos about TCG out there, and being new to TCG and receive so much information about and all these decks that i never imagined that existed is amazing, thanks so much for put so much time and effort on making these videos... You're one of the persons that make the YGO community something else... Seriously tough, you are the best!
Oh boy! Now that I've watched every individual episode, I can't wait to listen to this entire thing while playing with Number C9: Chaos Dyson Sphere and Morphtronics in Master Duel! Lmao.
Dear Monkey Fight TCG: My third and last comment. So, is there any way that we can reach out to the community to create formats that forsake meta tier decks so not only Komoney would stop printing sets and devaluing the secondary market and will allow people to afford lots of the old deck pieces so we aren't spending 1,000 dollars to play Nekroz or whatever cool and fun deck without spending all our money on hand traps and staples. Bring back the fun times....
Well the coming has already created places and events for old formats. But to create your own would likely need some help from someone popular enough to get it noticed. Also note. That any format will inevitably create a strong meta with certain decks being kuch better than others.
Really good video, i loved the series as a new player i got to see most played decks but correct me if im wrong but i did not see code talkers here,if its intentional is it because the deck has the most basic win cond of accesscode otk?
Amazing vid. All time greatest, I’ve never seen a comprehensive deck guide like this, especially someone starting taking yugioh seriously, like me. Hearing how the decks work, etc-just everything- perfect. Awesome vid.
This is my favorite yugioh vid. As someone who hops between being a casual player and not playing I always feel overwhelmed by the amount of archetypes but this tier list does make so much easier
For real though, awesome series. I got back into playing YGO! in February through Master Duel after a six year hiatus and this was hella informative. Plus, UU has been the most fun I've had with the game since playground formats and I found out about it through you so... Thank you ♡
Huge Revolution is a good but stupid card. Trap but can only be activated on *our* turn? . If KONAMI give new card and let them to use Huge Revolution on Opponent's turn. It will be a great mini engine, just combine it with Level Resist Wall to summon the 3 cards.
Please we need a Update every year 😅🙏🏻 there is so mutch support ... Even the first deck you revield is now in tier 2 or 3 Or earthbound, arcana force, Yubel.... those decks are now save 4 or 5
I will not stand for this disrespect I know Transecendosaurus is just a part of dinosaurs, but I consider myself I Transecendosaurus deck user, ok? every tier list I see labels them just dinos I know there are only like 1 main deck and 4 extra deck monsters with said name, but I take them seriously I would like to be recognized here.
this video is a gold mine for everyone who wanna try new decks in various settings, whether in old games, or between friend in a chill away! i appreciate your effort very much!
Harpies are so close to rogue it isnt funny. The power of their unique trap Harpie Feather storm is immense. It is one of the best archetype specific traps in the game, right up there with Marincess Wave.
As someone who's favourite archetype is Battlewasps I'm surprised to see it ranked so high and very disappointed it didn't get an explanation for its placement oh wait I guess Battlewasp only exists in the context of Beetroopers now?
How is Sky Strikers so high tier? I punk them every single time with my plain-ass Blue Eyes Chaos Max + Impcantation deck. Not a single thing they can do, first or second.
2:54:37 Ok... here we go, time to expose myself I guess So, I love this deck a lot but it's main weakness is any card like Infinite Imperm that can shut down effects since it's really hard to make a comeback after a single negate most of the time but i've been told pairing it with Sprite is actually a good idea with the new support to Fur Hires like Rex, Fright Fur Hire since it's a level 2 monster. The draw potential for the deck has never been a problem most of the time due to the amount of draw the architype itself has and being able to run stuff like Fossil Dig and Reinforcement of the Army to help get plays started. Overall though, I would love to see someone pull the deck off at a tournament since it has lots of potential with the only IRL downside is being exposed for being a furry. Now if you excuse me, I got to get to most likely ignoring hate comments now or having a lovely conversation with the more sane people
Back in 2016 (again) Alot of these decks were phenomenal... thanks to everyone who plays meta, and the ban list, these decks get shafted. Why don't we all collectively reach out to komoney and see if they can release some of these cards that aren't game breakers...
Man, its great to be able to watch the tier list series all at once like this. Really enjoyed watching as the parts came out, and its awesome to have a resource that has not only every deck in it, but also their relative power levels. If I may, I feel like this could have benefited from a re-edit that puts all the updated decks in the right tiers from the get go here. Making it the videos back to back is kinda disorienting. Do you mind if I download this and try to re-arrange the bits? Its an amazing video series and I'm super glad it got finished, I think people just might be slightly thrown off by the constantly switching tiers as they go through the video.
They won't really stop each other from playing. You could 100% put in a branded engine into evil eye. It's not the optimal way to play branded but it could make evil eye better.
i think gunkan should probably be reranked when red rice comes out as it seams that it gets a lot better and also this teir 4 placement was without wave 2 support.
depends on where u play, I play with friends competitively with nothing banned, just limited board wipes...etc. so everything has potential btw in this video U R much too negative!!!
You missed what I feel like would be in. Every type deck; Like Insect, similarly to "Dragon Link". Just throw in every generic "Type specific" In the deck.
While it might not be quite what youre looking for I cover a few of those as pile decks. Battlewasps plus betroopers for example are close to a generic type deck.
@@MonkeyFightTCG Yeh, because I know there are decks that use both, and on top of the other generic stuff. Something similarly to dragon link adding "Rokket", "chaos", and bystials. That to me is the "Dragon type Pile". And I was hoping you could add things like, "Pyro Pile", "Fish pile", just adding the typing as a "deck" to see how they fair in the list.
Mathmech should be moved to 8 with recent tops, circular made this Rouge deck a Meta deck overnight. POTE wasn't out yet when you made this just wanna comment this anyways. The people need to know my deck is hot fire.
ive never played yugioh past 12 years old, nearly 20 years ago. watched a lot of the 1st 2 anime and a bit of the synchron bike one. played like 3 total online games ever, and a few solo games. never heard of the majority of the decks, but anyway this whole vid is a masterpiece directors cut 4 hour eye glue bonanza. i appreciate the little cuts to different things and topics and revisiting tiers for various reasons. even though this end product of a video arguably "would/should/could" just show the ending places and perfectly ordered decks in their final definitive tiers, im glad they're not. i appreciate the jokes and story elements even though im not emotionally invested in anything besides deck descriptions and rankings and this is the 1st video ive seen of this youtuber. just saw some other vids and im a sucker for tierlist vids and similar "deep dives" into that stuff so imma sub and best of luck for the future especially after an amazing vid like this
You missed still some Decks. As a Example: Underworld. The Deck with Tristan, Isolde, Lancelot, Boatsman and NetherSoul. And a lot of Oldschool Decks like: Quickdraw Dandylion, Dino Rabbit, Black Salvo, ...
Old school decks are not in the game any more or have been hybridized into other decks. Dino rabbit for example has been completely absorbed and then outclassed by dinks. Also I filed underworld under zombie world and just never mentioned it beacuse the strat is minor and more so mini synergy as opposed to a deck.
Back in 2016, I used to play Melodious Lock which is a melodious monsters can't be targeted or destroyed by battle or card effect and basically you lock your opponent from being able to attack or destroy and you basically lock them out of the game 😂
1:46:42 you missed an insanly powerful card for inzektors, and its not even an inzektor card infernoble knight arms durendal, with duredal it becomes soo much less fragile with playing 3 crossout 1 calledby 1 magical midfeild breaker too (durendal searches oliver which then in turn triggers drgon fly like twice and gives you a play to gointo herald before 5 summons meaning nib is useless) but teir 5 is where id expect someone that doesnt know how a fully fledged inzektor deck works to be put lol imo it is probably a teir 6 deck with the use of number 67: pair a dice smasher and the other cards i detailed above. but it would be low on the teir 6, the beetrooper and battlewasps are no good other than armourhorn for inzektors too fyi, (btw inzektors dont want hand traps othet than crossout targets as we have one better a rank 5 vfd for going first with masq on field too for a turn 1 play) i can send you a much much better decklist than the weird one you found on the internet lol
Thx for validating my belief that odd eyes is slept uz I just bought a bunch of random packs not knowing what I was buying. I put together a 60 main 15 extra odd eyes/pendulum magicians hybrid wit a bit of performaple and 2 dark magician/1girl for there search and fusion support. It's a blast to run.
The problem with this video is that it sort of misses the point of tier lists. Tiers are sort of dependent on what the top decks in the room are because they dictate the meta, its why the placements of decks change constantly between formats. This is more akin to a power level tier list as opposed to a competitive one, which is what people tend to look for when preparing for an event. Normal tier lists are also geared mostly for big events like regionals or worlds where there's just a higher saturation of players playing the top decks in the room (which strengthens the viability of anti-meta decks). The title is just misleading is all. This is otherwise a great video, you did a good job ranking all the archetypes. Something like this can be pretty useful when looking for decks that might be getting slept on in the current format. Its sort of like an archetype index video that provides a summary and general power level of all the archetypes in the game.
But this is a tier list that directly ranks competitive viability. The top decks do define the bottom and the decks are ra ked relarivley to each other. It just has an absurd amount of items to tier. For example you can see how tearlament format shifted the list in one of my later variations of the list. It's rude to say that you found the title misleading just beacuse of how many decks had to be covered and what that did to the format of the video. It's still just as valid as any other tier list.
Personal objective. Top a YCS with a Rogue/casual deck (Ice Barriers, Pure Paleo, Nekroz, Suships, Sharks, Predaplants or something along those lines). And get this video to at least 20-30K Views.
