Loved the tier list, and love the discussion! I personally love the Golden Fox and Dr. Stewart, EZ S tier for me. I also love how his machine handles in X and GX, even though it isn't exactly the best machine to set records with haha
(All my personal ranking! The AX is in the respond below) In commentary, it's hard to say everything, but I'll be quick. Background, design, personnality... Mighty Gazelle, S! No debate. Respect is earned! Red Gazelle. Sadly, it suffers from the fact that some machine looks like it, so I have to downgrade it to C. Jody Summer, design, classic, backstory, personnality overall, if she was friendly with Octoman and his race, A+ but because of that, B. White Cat... Cool design, A- Dr.Stewart... What's lacking is the charisma that's low and the design that is average... but everything else is top-notch! Music, respect, his backstory... S-Tier! However... The Golden Fox design is average. C. Pico, everything's cool and interesting. He's controversial but cool! He can be a good mid-grade antagonist. A-Tier. Wild Goose, the design suits well with Pico's design. It's not the best design for me, but ok... C+. Samurai Goroh... If only everything was well exploited, which is not the case... Clown-ish Yakuza... There is so much potential, but terribly done overall... Just for that, D+! Lucky that in the anime, they showed more potential but not enough and too late. And the Fire Stingray, the design is meh! C- There's some machines that are better designed but also not better than FS. Captain Falcon... A bit too overrated, but the aura and global... A+ is a good spot. Blue Falcon... GX has the peaked everything... After the SNES version, they flat the cockpit and the rear that shows a really cool design machine. S-Tier! Baba... He's sort of a George of the Jungle version clown... D. Iron Tiger... If the grey color was switched to green, the design would rank it C to B... C. Octoman... A-Tier. If they didn't do dirty to him at the anime, S-Tier. The character that I respect the most. Deep Claw, if they put up some black or white color with the base red on the machine, the design will be solid A because outside the color, it's great. But the red only... B+. Mr.EAD... Trash! F-Tier! Mario dirty crap and the backstory... ''Ok... and...???" Great Star... It's not so bad... C-Tier. James McCloud... He's kinda Fox human... his background looks like it. It's a cool reminder of Fox, so that's a B-! Not the most exploited character, but he's ok. Little Wyvern... He looks more of a combat machine than racing one... And it's not! It's cool design but ironic in the end... B-tier. Billy... An hybrid of a monkey and human... Ok... New technology... personnality... to me personally... Meh... Not exploited enough. D-Tier. MadWolf... Also D-Tier. The piss color is not good looking and the design is almost a copy to Wild Goose... D-Tier too. Kate Allen, taking off the grey-white clothes to show her only in her bikini, why not. It differents herself from Jody and Mrs.Arrow. The personnality, she's fine. Average, C- Super Piranha... F-Tier! Almost an entire copy to Wild Goose! Out! Done! Zoda... Solid A-Tier. There's so much potential in this guy and in GP-Legend game and the anime, it was his peak to me in term of what he can show. And the design is very good. Death Anchor... If the machine could take more damage A-Tier too... because it's high risk, high rewards for a fragile machine... with a badass name... B-! Jack Levin... GX, it started to shine and then it got more and more better. He deserves more credit than global people does. A-. Astro Robin... It's fine, nothing special in term of design but it's alright. B- is ok for him. Bio-Rex... To me, the profile is just... "Ok... and???", so it's like he's Billy but a Dinosaur... He has more potential than Billy but not exploited enough. If he was like Pico, it would have been interesting since he likes eating humans and meats but it's not very detailed... Potential A- but actually... C-. Bio Rex... It fits him very well and it's a cool design. A+. The Skull... He represents the Old School extremely well with the few spots that we give him. The design is good, his background is cool. S-Tier. Sonic Phantom, S-Tier also. Done! A classic machine that represents him so much, just like Bio Rex but more easy to shine in term of look than Big Fang. Plus he has my number 16 so, S-Tier, done! Antonio Guster... The background is good but after that, we wonder what he really does because he's so bland. And in GP-Legend, if I remember, he's just a jackass... Green Panther... it's a bit like Fire Stingrey, but in green and the name "Panther" doesn't represent very well the machine. It's a Fire Stingrey downgrade plus the panther name is not worthy, F-Tier. Beastman... His background is ok but he's kinda of an animal hunter with a goofy design... dangerois animals, fine but the one that you can domesticate, no touch. D-Tier. Hyper Speeder, in the S-Rank. Great design and details! Leon, the background is an S-Rank for me because it has everything to like him and respect him. Space Angler, I dislike it a lot... Bland. Not unique style... Generic... It's like Green Panther and Fire Stingrey but worse... F-Rank. Super Arrow... He's a hero, background is great but with his wife, he loses his balls. He's funny but also goofy at the worst time... A-Rank. King Meteor... Trash. F-Rank. A bland red missile with no unique style. Mrs.Arrow... I'll put her on A+. I prefer her more than her husband and I love her personnality a lot. Queen Meteor... D-Rank... Bland but better looking than King Meteor. Gomar and Shion... The design and background is interesting but for racers... if one is the head and the others is the arms... ok but it doesn't show it... Plus the potential... not exploited enough. C-Tier. Twin Norita... if the cockpit was at the middle of the 2 little ones, A-Rank but because two of them drive it, B-! Silver Neelsen... The Underdog... Most entry and not a single win... And he still compete... It's either you respect him or you pity him... mostly with an awful machine. B- Night Thunder, it's like a car, classic with a ok design but the unique style... meh... C-. Michael Chain... He's the ghosted character... but he's also a fakeass and phoney gangster... F-Rank. Trash! Wild Boar... even if he has ok top design, the rest is so bland and not good looking, F-Rank also. Blood Falcon, to me, I prefer him more than Black Shadow. He plays the right-hand villain very well and the rest is just great. His profile music is just the best of the game. He's kinda tragic but also very cool to be the Evil Captain Falcon. If his main goal wasn't only to replace and eliminate Captain Falcon, instant S-Rank but he'll stay in the A-Tier. Blood Hawk... It's also like a car I way more prefer Night Thunder over Blood Hawk so D-Tier. John Tanaka, he's kinda a good loyal soldier who you can rely on him despite he can be a little cartoon goofy but he's fine. He's humbled and just race and fight to get attention from Jody. B+ Wonder Wasp, he's an upgrade style of Great Star so C-. Drag... To me, he's just a middle tier cartoon character in terms of look but the background is ok. He's kinda an Average Joe mindset. C-. Mighty Typhoon... He should have the Green Panther name and Guster the Mighty Typhoon. The design is cool. I like it. B-Rank. Roger Buster... He's the real Average Joe of the franchise who doesn't belong in F-Zero. F-Rank. Mighty Hurricane, it's a bland version of Mighty Typhoon and I don't like the design... D-Rank. Dr.Clash... Wow... In GX, they did him dirty in term of show-off... It's so bad. Outside of that, he's an ambitious dude. In GX, I feel sorry for how they did him dirty... C- Crazy Bear... It's like a soap with a little top at the middle... and a with terrible color looking... F-Rank. Trash! Black Shadow... The Evil Batman. In GX, I really don't like that he's the little dog of Deathborn because if it wasn't for him, he could been the classic cartoon main antagonist. Outside of GX, he's fine. A- Black Bull, the upgrade design of Big Fang. Not enough for S-Rank however. A+!
AX racers... Don Genie... He's pretty much THE head gangster of F-Zero. If they put a mid-profile character instead of a big evil dude, he'll be S-Rank to me but with his design, A-Rank. Fat Shark... S-Rank. Cool design. That's a rich looking machine and the performance shows it extremely well for a great driver! S!! Digi-Boy... I had so much difficulty to unlock this kiddo with mission 5... He's the Genius Nerd. We have to respect that kid. He's a cartoon character but in F-Zero, once he'll be a teen, his potential will shine so much. A+! Cosmic Dolphin... the design SUCKS...! But the fact that a kiddo did this... respect. D-Tier. No more because I hate the design. Dai-San-Gen... The japanese version of Gomar and Shion... Cartoon style but... so goofy and trash... and their responsibilities in their machine is so trash... F-Rank. Pink Spider. I love the design but three to ride this machine? Hell no! Drops to A to B-Tier. Spade... Unique design and interesting backstory but he has nothing to do in F-Zero despite his skills. If it was for evil stuff, it will go to A. But for the fact that he doesn't really belong in F-Zero and that I'm not a fan of circus and magic stuff... D-Rank. If he was evil, A but he's pretty unknown. Magic Seagull... The name is... Meh! And the design is a plane mixed into a boat... it's meh! D-Tier. I don't like it. Unique but not in a good way. Daigoroh... What the fuck he does in F-Zero! Stays into your mother's panties! Jesus! Wait until you're at least a late teen to try to surpass your father! F-Rank! Out! Gone! And Silver Rat... F-Rank also! Out! Trash! Princia... She just doesn't belong in F-Zero... She's just a Princess that ran away. If she was the lead scientist of her kingdom, it will boost her rank a lot. I'm not gonna put her above D+. Spark Moon however... I love it's design and her universe reflects it so well... A-Tier! Lily Flyer... WHAT THE FUCK IS SHE DOING AT THE SPACE FORCE AT 14 YEARS OLD! Y'ALL...! Are they are child laws?! I know she's extremely talented but at least, put her on a different place to work until she grows up! D-Rank! If she was just an overtalented racer, fine but a Space Forces? No way! D!!! Bunny Flash... it's just a cockpit... Seriously?! Developers couldn't do anything more for her? F!!! PJ... The design is ok for his profile and the background is really good. I like it. B-Rank. Groovy Taxi, I love it. A taxi design as a machine race... It's cartoon and goofy but it's so funny and it's fun to imagine ourselves in a real taxi and use it to race... So hilarious. A+!! QQQ... interesting and so much potential to put in this character. Potential B but I'll put to C. Rolling Turtle, the design is fine for QQQ's image. Not cool but not bad. Nothing much to say, C-Rank. Phoenix... this character has the best potential in F-Zero. He is pretty much the Captain Falcon of the Future and it will be so cool with the great backstory and potential he has... Just for that, A-Tier! Rainbow Phoenix... The design is cool and well design as "Phoenix" BUT, the color... not so much! If it has rainbow colors like his name machine has, it will be in S+. But I'll put it in A. Deathborn... Badass design and backstory. He's pretty much the Undead Devil. He's a cartoon perfect main antagonist. It's cool enough. It's goofy today but for his plans, it's good enough to rank him in A. Dark Schneider... It's a Head Dragon design. It's badass... just the color that is not the best choice. If it was black or red, S-Tier. Purple is ok but it's not good looking enough to keep it in S. A-Rank That's my ranking!
This was way too kind to like every vehicle imo. S - Fat Shark; A - Black Bull; B - Sonic Phantom; C - Blue Falcon. Almost everything else can be sold for scrap basically lol
I know a few are ahead of Sonic Phantom on their overall time for 26 tracks because I helped FSF and Onsoku get him past some minute barrier that like 5 or 6 other vehicles already had crossed? I see someone else has been lowering Sonic Phantom's times though since I stopped playing as much so no idea what the spreadsheet is now. Doubt it could shake up much though. TL;DR: probably, lol @@A_Person_64
