I think one of the things that benefited Allgeir is actually playing linebacker for a year. He was a walk on and only moved back to running back after some injuries. I wonder if that's why he is further ahead at anticipating gaps opening and reading the defense. He is an awesome guy.

You're over looking Spiller's receiving ability. My biggest worry with him is health. I think these rankings are flawed if you're saying Brian Robinson is a 3 down back a big back and a pass protector that sounds like a lot more value than some of the tier 2 backs.

I think Haskins is a little underrated here I watched him absolutely Annihilate Ohio State he looked like an absolute man amongst boys and they could not tackle him he’s a 5 yards falling down kind of player he’s so strong and his balance is so good he does not have long speed he is surprisingly quick and shifty for a man as big as him but watching a lot of Michigan games this year there’s something about him that’s special
@hudsongonzalez706
@hudsongonzalez706 2 года назад
It’s hard for NFL teams to value a RB that isn’t an absolute game changer with speed, power, and receiving ability. Haskins is that type of back that teams view as replaceable sadly. I think he’s really good though and I hope he can get a starting role on a team early like Jordan Howard did with the bears a while back.

Dameon Pierce reminds me of Doug Martin. Doug was selected high in his draft class because he had the ability to be a functional 3 down back as he had to block for Kellen Moore. if the bills did it i'd understand, they're so good everywhere else really (like cornerback and o-line maybe) but like their pass defense was ridiculous last year i think the 2 safeties and milano make up for whoever is cb2 and slot corner. The rush game could be better from getting blocking but like everytime i watch singletary i'm underwhelmed like there's better backs out there. I'd honestly trade a pick for kamara or someone right now who's value's down (obviously he is gonna be suspended) but if they didn't do that, i completely understand drafting rb r1

At the end of the day letting Josh Allen cook and passing on early downs has given the Bills great results overall. There were few games where the Bills would love a power runner (that isn't Josh Allen himself) but the scheme/lack of run blocking doesn't do favors either for what Singletary and Moss could work with. So I doubt the Bills get any bigger value picking RB at r1 to try move away from the guys they currently have problems with now.

Man, we see talent VERY Similarly, last year I remember Teven Jenkins, JOK, Zaven Collins Ben st Juste, Adebo,, Andre Cisco, and maybe you were a Kendric Green guy too but this year we are pretty close to eye to eye on soooo many prospects lol. Leo Chenal, Jalen Pitre, Thomas Booker, Bo Melton, Jelani woods, Chig Okonkwo and now having White, Chandler, and INGRAM who I love, and no one mentions this high is awesome. I thought I was kind of crazy cuz people are talking like Rachaad is a 4th rounder with Chandler and Ingram 7th to UDFA, I also love Robinson too, the dude is so Smooth and rounded for a Hammer, like his cuts are these smooth almost unperceivable movements and it's unlike anything I've seen, I can watch him run all day. But I think you are kinda low on Allgier, I think along with the intangible traits you talked about he does have some legit power and contact balance, I think I think Abram Haskins offer some power too. IDK if you don't have him on your board , if he's low because of production, or if you are considering him a FB but Zander Horvath 6'3 235lbs from Purdue is a beast too, he's drawn a fair bit of comparisons to fellow Purdue alumni Mike Alstott. He's a Hammer between the tackles, has the speed to get outside, has good hands, and can pass-protect or lead block.

Hey Brett, Seahawks fan here coming back to see this again. Idk how to feel about the KW III pick. He is explosive and there are question marks with the RB position on the team. However, watching tape I was NOT impressed with his pass protection. Also, it does not appear that he switches the ball to the boundary side arm while running. That is something that's coachable but with Willis and Ridder still being there and Howell still available going into day 3, I think that position is more important to fill. Just my 2 cents but love the content you always come out with and you have helped expand my football knowledge!! Keep up the good work!

@@Shadowbot074 you are right and with the QB situation they will most definitely rely on the ground game a lot this season. But with the other teams in the division and schedule I dont see how we wont have a top 5 pick this upcoming year. But the more I think about it the more I like it. I would not say it's the best pick but because they went RB they got a good one. I just thi k they could have dont old Seahawks fashion and trade down in the 2nd for Cook. But I'm not mad at the pick

Kyren Williams from Notes Dame. Any ideas if he will make it or be a backup.

I'm glad I'm not the only person who likes Walker over Hall for his latteral quickness. I think you're underrating Spiller's ability as a receiving back, though I'm a bit biased on it. His ability to catch the ball downfield was critical in both the wins against Colorado and Alabama. Some of his volume receving numbers might be lower because Ainias Smith who is a slot receiver has seen a ton of time at RB2/RB3 over the past couple years, and Devon Achane is a true scatback that might convert to receiver when it's his time to enter the NFL. My biggest concern with him is the ability to take 10+ carries in a game consistently. At the college level when he was getting 15+ touches I was nervous watching him. I know it might sound like it's some cookie cutter thing to say about running backs experiencing attrition, but Spiller seems to experience it much worse than other backs as a game goes on and latter in the season with minor injuries and getting up much slower as the game goes on.

Dameon Pierce is almost the exact same height/weight/athletic profile as Kareem Hunt. Very similar running style and versatility as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see similar production.

I was surprised how long it took for pass protection to be mentioned. Very different game than it was even a decade ago

Amazed you didn't talk about Walker's issues in pass protection as it is arguably the worst in the entire class. I'm not sure I saw the passing game versatility you mentioned either, even though I like his hands
