Phillips is not “scrappy”. He is legit tough and physical. He put on some great blocks on his tape. Obviously I think he will predominantly a Slot in the NFL but I think there is some upside there and that physicality allows him to play on the outside. Pickens: Pending focus and concentration can be like a Jerry Rice type of player but also medicals is knocking him down as well. Remember Rice didn't run a great 40 time either but the focus on his off season workout regimen was great and it showed on the field which he became a deep threat. Pickens can be as good as he wants to be depending on his work ethic...

Coming back after the Packers draft, just LOVE hearing your opinion about not only Watson (Arod is going to get all of his potential out of him) but also Romeo Doubs, if his medical checks out, he's going to be a fun addition to put on the field on play action, Watson getting attention from the Safety and then have Doubs fly past on the backside. I really like George Pickens. Everybody thinking he'd fall far into the 2nd round seem to be sleeping on him. He is a 1st round talent, and if he hadn't missed most of the season due to an ACL injury, he'd be a top WR prospect in the draft. I'd be super happy if my Packers took him. Love Phillips, Tolbert, Pierce, Melton, and Doubs. Which is why as a Chiefs’ fan I don’t see the need to draft a WR really early.

Brett, I’m a long time follower and love your work. I do want to hear your thoughts on Watson. He’s a guy I like a lot, but seems that since the combine his stock is rising, but what do you make of his drop percentage? It’s higher than Eric Ebron’s was coming out by a full percentage. I know he’s had multiple QB’s there so maybe it’s just him using athleticism to get to balls that are tough catches? Or does he have some questionable hands?
@redwolfacutinaantam7725
@redwolfacutinaantam7725 2 года назад
Keep in mind Brett that NDSU's offense is a run first offense with everything else being Watson making explosive plays of the success of the run. Watson's QB's only threw the ball at least 25x in a game once on the year. Compare that to the Ohio St. QB and Alabama's QB who threw 25x in a game a total of 22 games last year combined. Watson's drop rate is magnified because of the low amounts of rec attempts/targets he's had. But he also accounts for a bigger % of NDSU's offense overall all at roughly 33%.

It's taken me until draft week to finally see it, but Jahan Dotson might be the top WR in this draft, although I'd probably still draft Christian Watson and Alec Pierce ahead of him because of their size.

Awesome video Brett as always, I saw on Twitter that this video has underperformed a bit. I'm no RU-vid algorithmn expert, but maybe you could've split the video up into separate ones one Tier 1, 2, 3&4? SOme people can get scared by seeing 50 minutes in the corner of a video icon. Not your core fans obvs, but maybe a barrier toa wider audience. Wish you the best for the rest of this series

David Bell does everything great except for speed, and we’re putting him in tier 4 now? Yikes, I don’t agree with that one, but maybe it’s because I’ve loved Bell as a prospect for like a year now.
@williamhermann6635
@williamhermann6635 2 года назад
Couldnt agree more. I think Bell is the best receiver in this class and by a pretty wide margain too. People getting caught up in 40 times easily forget the reigning Super Bowl MVP and receiving triple crown winner ran a 4.62 at the combine. Davante Adams ran a 4.56. Michael Thomas ran a 4.57. Deandre Hopkins ran a 4.57. Speed is mostly overrated. Give me the best football players, period.
