I came down to the comment section to bring up Tyler Lockett, too, lol. He's always open, he never drops a pass, and while some see his tendency to play it safe and fall down/run out after catching a pass to be a downside, I think preserving your body is more important than tacking on an extra 2 yards to what is already a 1st down. He's one of those WRs who's still gonna be a dependable target when he's 36 or 37. That said, I don't disagree with this list, but also thought Lockett deserved at least an honorable mention.

@@destructinatorLockett is great but I think having DK on his team hurts his argument as a top 10 guy. Him not being top 10 is because there’s so many great receivers, not because he isn’t one

The thing about Lockett is that he doesn't try to extend his plays often and go for YAC, he's adamant on trying to keep his body healthy for as long as he can play. So what he'll do is catch the ball and go down with it immediately to avoid the acl tearing injury that plagues wideouts. He's healthy for the entire season practically using this method which in turn makes him more productive overall.

It’s going to get him into the hall at the rate he catches them. Just needs 3 more years most likely. He 100% would have gotten it if he stayed with rodgers and likely had better yard stats as well. I think going to jimmy g and unknowns will hurt him a bit

Touchdowns are insanely valuable to a WRs career. That ultimately effects winning the most. You could have 130 yards a game but have 4 TDS all season and your yards could be hollow on a 7-9 team trailing. TDs get points, which increase your chances of winning. Yard records are very likely to be broken in this QB era with ultra talented receivers and 17 games.

@@deadprecidents If you are getting double or tripled teamed and your TE or other receivers are getting those TD's it speaks to your value. The Vikngs are tied for 3rd in receiving TD's over Jefferson's two seasons, it is obviously not a problem.

I can agree that Jefferson should have been at least 2nd above Hill, but there is no way you can convince me that he's #1 above Adams, and thinking he's above Adam's right now is outright crazy

As a Packers fan, when he was in GB, it did not matter what they did on 1st and 2nd down, as long as they got it to 3rd and ~6, you can just throw it to Davante. 100% he is going to be open and get the first down. Same on the goal line. He's a cheat code. GB sucked last year bc they didn't have their Davante get-out-of-jail-free card.

Nah, he led every WR in the league in red zone targets last year even with all the trickery. If you’re the most targeted receiver in the NFL in the red zone, you should be expected to produce elite TD numbers plain and simple
