Dude ranch is my favorite just because it’s the ideal blink in my opinion. The perfect mix of punk and pop. They became a little too polished and poppy when enema came out. I still love enema toypaj and self titled to death but dude ranch I can still listen to front to back without skipping a song

The three Jerry Finn albums will always be my favourite because he got the best of Blink. Neighbourhoods just shows what happens without him and without passion.

I absolutely agree with the self titled being your top choice. For me, it holds such a special place, and every time I listen to it, I almost have to listen to the entire album just because I'm in awe.
I have always had a theory that live album was not recorded live. All the vocals are spot on which if you see them live, both Tom and mark have a hard time with vocals. The instruments, especially toms guitar sounds just too good to be recorded live but I may be wrong.

I would rank them 1. TOYPAJ: I love every single song on this album, and it's the one i come back to most often, and everything from Please Take Me Home to Don't Tell Me That It's Over (deluxe track) to the heartbreaking and saddening Stay Together For The Kids, there's nothing i feel I can hate here. 2. Untitled/Self-Titled: The combination between the experimentation and pop punk is beautiful to me, from the opener Feeling This to the fast and angry GO to the best song I think blink has ever written: I'm Lost Without You, I love the album. 3. Dogs Eating Dogs: These next three are really close, but i come back to Dogs Eating Dogs the most out of them. Every single track here is awesome, especially the title track. When I Was Young talks about nostalgia while Disaster is littered with experimentation, and I love it. 4. Neighborhoods: I love almost every single song on this album, with the only exception being Love Is Dangerous, which i feel is too repetitive. Even Up All Night is big hit for me, and even the underrated closer: Even If She Falls. 5. Enema of The State: Man, i really love this album, from the best blink-182 opener of all time imo, to the depression of Adam's Song, which helps me relate to my own depression (definitely in my top 5 blink songs of all time), and even All The Small Things, which is cathy as hell. 6. Dude Ranch: Dude Ranch is low compared to the others, but I at least like every song here, from Pathetic to my favorite blink song of all time: Dammit, and love the distorted tone, but i like the smoother sound of the albums that come after. 7. Cheshire Cat: A beautiful first album for me, and I especially love Carousel and M+M's, but i feel some of Tom's best riffs are here, like in Wasting Time. 8. California: I would only say this album is okay. There are hits within the misses for me, with my favorites being Cynical, Los Angeles, and San Diego on the original, and every single song on the deluxe except for Can't Get You More Pregnant. However, I love every single album by them, and i even like some songs from California, more on the deluxe I would rank them 1. Great video! I love relaxed debates/list type videos. For the most part agree with everything but Misery is a great song (I know it’s the deluxe version that you’re not included) but Misery’s bridge and Skibas yelling vocals deserve a pinch of credit. Keep rocking dude 🤘🏻

I feel the exact same way about the self titled or "untitled" album. I still find little things I've never heard previously in that album. They did a lot of experimenting with that album.
Can you make a video about your thoughts on the making of the self-titled album (the recording sessions and the MTV special)? You know, like your opinions on how all the music was made (lyrically wise, production wise, equipment used, ect.). I think that would be a really interesting video.

Flyswatter and "demo #2" were the first two demos. Both very DIY. Flyswatter was done in Scott's bedroom. "BLINK" (Buddha) was their first studio and big recording, it was their first real release - also "The Girl Next Door" was not recorded with Buddha in 93. It was recorded in 95/96 along with the Dude Ranch demos with the guy from The vandals. It was thrown on as a bonus for the 1998 reissue.
Ranking these albums from worst too best is fair, yet not really necessary. I honestly think that all of the albums are true works of art and should be looked at as such. I also feel that Mark and Travis did the right thing by continuing to move forward with Blink 182. Is it the same as it was before, of course not. Is it better or worse this way, well it depends on who you ask. No matter what I love Blink because they're Blink. I admire your continued passion for this band, I think your opinion should be valued. Keep up the great work, love the channel.

Cheshire Cat I only got into Blink when California Deluxe dropped because my friends said I should listen to them and I figured I’d see what the big deal was. I had no idea how much I would eventually love this band. I originally LOVED California and now it’s really dropped in my opinion. I’m still more of a fan of Enema and on vs Cheshire Cat and Dude Ranch although I love many songs on Dude Ranch. I used to not like Neighborhoods just because I was advised to avoid it because it was really disjointed and not very good, and I went to the Untitled as my favorite. However after examining the evolution and maturity the band grew into until Tom left, I just think Blink progressively made a better album than the last and peaked with Neighborhoods. It is disjointed. But has some of the most underrated songs like one of my absolutely favorite, possibly my favorite, Blink song: “Kaleidoscope.” I know it’s very mixed in its reception but that’s why it’s great that everyone has different ideas on things.

I always wondered where Zulu and Wrecked him came from. I stumbled across those 2 songs on Limewire back in the day. And Waggy is one of the best songs on Dude Ranch. I’ll never forget hearing Dude Ranch as a teenager when it came out. I’d heard dammit on the radio and really liked the riff but hearing songs like pathetic and enthused really got me into Blink and other bands like mxpx and warped tour bands and then more local NJ bands. Scott’s drumming was incredible. I listened to enema and jacket a ton when they came out and loved them but Dude Ranch will always be #1 for me. I was happy to hear neighborhoods when it came out. Has anyone heard Odi Acoustic on RU-vid? His neighborhoods covers are amazing.
My personal favorite record to this day is Cheshire Cat. It just has that raw feeling without being unlistenable. Second is Nine.....yeah. I don't know why either because they're almost nothing a like .

I can't choose between Enema, TOYPAJ, or Self-Titled as my number one. Those 3 albums to me are gold standard Blink. It was when they were at their peak. It's like asking my favorite combo of food between burgers and fries, bacon and eggs, or pizza and bread sticks. I love all 3 equally, and it depends on my mood which one I'm feeling the most, but I don't favor any one over the other. Hopefully Nine is a good addition.

i think a HUGE reason why the s/t came out the way it did is because tom went and did BCR. to me, its like the second BCR album. this is all my opinion but i think tom did a lot more for that album than tom. the chord progressions and guitar parts just scream BCR.

1. All actual Blink albums (1992-2012) I like every Blink album, the three eras (Skate punk-pop punk-alternative). Sometimes I enjoy cheshire, sometimes enema, sometimes neighborhoods, etc an album for each moment of life. California is not a Blink-182 album for me. Its a project of Mark and feldmann and they used the name Blink as a brand. Some people blame Matt, but hes just a friend of Mark, Tom, Travis helping in the project. He maybe wrote 10% of the album, I cant feel his alkaline trio style in California... maybe in deluxe a bit more. But its essentially a work of mark 50% and the producer 50%.

indeed blink 182 without tom is not the real blink but there are still mark and travis who turn the band itself on California and Nine is their commitment to the band so that it can still run until the end of their lives But tom in AVA still amazing with the talents support them on music
Self Titled holds a special place in my heart as its the first blink album i listens to however Neighborhoods and Dogs eating Dogs i believe are under rated
To answer your question as to why some people say they don't like the Untitled/Self-Titled album (myself included), for me at least it has to do with the fact that it doesn't fulfil the image some people imagine when they hear "blink-182". For me I grew up as a kid listening to Enema and TOYJAP, when I heard their Untitled album I was like 'what is this? This isn't blink. I want their old songs back again.' Maybe it was the fact that I was a kid and didn't understand or appreciate all of the production work that went on behind the scenes, but even now I really don't like it. It has some cool songs like Asenthia and Feeling This, but I really couldn't care less about I Miss You, Stockholm Syndrome or All of This. But I suppose everyone has their own tastes and for me, I really love their old punk songs. I just find them to be more charming and authentic, just 3 immature guys that love singing dick songs and joking around, as opposed to trying too hard to create a new sound. I understand that their sound needed to evolve over time and I respect that, and I know a lot of Untitleds sound came from them maturing and becoming fathers. It just isn't blink for me, in the same way that California isn't blink for a lot of people. But I would be far happier to listen to Cheshire Cat or Dude Ranch than the Untitled album for the fact that that's who I imagine blink-182 to be

mark tom and travis show was the best in my opinion, corny jokes aside. It includes the best versions of their older songs plus a faster versions of their enema of the state songs, its not over produced sounding like enema of the state but not under/soppily produced like dude ranch and earlier albums, plus travis's drumming is just sick over the whole show, and makes you appreciate their ealier stuff more. I would agree self titled is the best non live album.
You are definitely wrong. Short Bus came after Flyswatter and Demo #2. Right before Cheshire Cat. In fact it has some songs that were released with Cheshire Cat such as Wasting Time and DMBS?

I really like Neighborhoods, definitely wouldn't say it's their best album but I enjoy it and I've been a blink fan since Enema came out when I was 6 years old and my parents bought it for me for my birthday. Top 3 is obviously Enema, TOYPAJ, and self titled... I love them too much to pick one over the other. I liked california when it first came out because it was new blink but the more I listened to it the more I started to agree with your opinion of it and aside from a select few songs of cali and the deluxe it's really a weak album.
I’m on the same boat as you with California. It was one of those things where I was like “What the hell went wrong here?” While I did like Sober, the rest I just could not get into. Not even Bored to Death. That album honestly made me lose interest in Blink.
