The reason why Eli/Jake’s friendship works so well is bc they’re friends in real life. Like you can tell they have the best friendship chemistry in season 12
There’s always a group of three girls at the center of the show and Lola, Frankie, and Shay were the most toxic of them all. They constantly put each other down and criticized each other. I don’t know how the writers wanted us to believe they actually enjoyed each other’s company.
You know what was a downer? Jay, Spinner, and Sean never hung out as a trio even though Spinner and Sean were cool with each other and Jay was their bestie roughly the same time
omg that would've been such a vibe! jay's friendships with both sean and spinner were cool so a trio should've happened. i do remember they were all in a scene together when rick had spray painted jay and spinner's cars tho.
Yeah, Sean and Spinner were never really that close.... But, it makes sense to a degree because Jimmy and Sean clashed with each other, and Spinner and Jimmy were best friends through most of the seasons.
My favorite friendships were Ellie and Marco, Marco and Jimmy, and Terri and Hazel. Jimmy and Marco were so good to their friends. I also liked how Manny was a good friend to Darcy when she going through her trauma. I never thought Emma and Liberty were friends especially when she implied liberty was a downgrade after dating Chris. Manny was a better friend to liberty than Emma. If I was Manny I would’ve dropped Emma as soon she started dating Peter. Idk how she forgave her for that. Manny was really the most loyal friend. Damien was right when he said She was a saint for putting up with Emma’s crap.
neither Manny nor Emma knew when libertys birthday was and manny only threw her that party for her own reasons to try and get over Craig. she wasn’t the bestest friend either and she made a lot of mistakes.
I loved Moe and Jake 😂. When Jake shows up to prom and says “hi handsome”. I died. I think you’re a little hard on Claire sometimes. She could be a bitch but other times, I think her attitude was justified.
I really love Adam and Eli’s friendship I feel like they were never really problematic and Eli was always there for him when people were bullying him for being trans
Not to mention Katie went for Drew knowing that Marisol liked him. Even though Drew did like Katie idk I feel like you don't go for the guy your friend likes even if you like him too. It doesn't excuse how Marisol outed Katie's ED. I wish we saw things through Marisol's perspective she was very underdeveloped Fiona and Holly.J are my favorite friendship on the show they are friendship goals. Even though Tristan was a toxic friend I did like his friendship with Tori. Jenna and Alli were more best friends than Clare and Alli IMO I feel like out of Ashley's friendships her friendship with Ellie wasn't toxic (at least from what I remember). Speaking of Ellie I did like her friendship with Marco quite a lot, honestly Marco had the best friendships in the show.
Finally someone agrees with me about Katie and Marisol. Those two were trouble in the beginning, but I started to like Katie after she got bangs and dyed her hair black.
It sucks that Paige and Marco left on bad terms. Rick and Toby were missing on that list, LOL. I agree with you, Emma was a bad friend to Manny and others.
I hated how Paige and Marco were left too, at the end of the Hollywood movie. (Although, I do genuinely enjoy that movie with Paige, Manny and Ellie as the three leads.) Back to Paige and Marco, though, I think it is plausible to imagine they reconciled, and remained close friends.
Yess love the video I def agree about Manny and Liberty I really liked that friendship and it was sad they didn’t put emphasis on it because Emma and Liberty were not friends at all! Like once Emma sabatoged Liberty because she was “embarrassed” at the idea of Liberty going after ex i feel like the relationship was never the same. Manny was such a good friend to stick with Liberty side and call her out and the fact they try to promote this narrative of them all being besties was so annoying like no shade but Liberty didn’t owe Emma a damn thing!
Finally someone who doesn't like Lola! gosh she was one of the characters I dreaded. I skipped most of the season after Tristan was hospitalized. When it was all focused on Lola I immediately skipped
i recommend watching it cuz those are the best seasons of Next Class in my opinion but yes I found her character so irritating. She just did not sit right with me lol.
Wait Jimmy and Spinner in the yearbook? Why? Spinner and Jay the reason Jimmy got shot. Honestly I always thought it was kind of Jimmy to forgive him, but like forgive him and kick it with him after that? No way.
yeah there's definitely mixed opinions on this one. i thought they were really strong in terms of development and forgiveness at the end of the day. it took a lot for spinner to mature and for jimmy to forgive him for something like that and they only progressed from there so I just really liked that development! maybe it could've been a pass the popcorn instead of yearbook!
Jimmy's forgiveness of Spinner came pretty much out of nowhere. It seemed like the writers wanted to be done with it but had no idea how to end it. I swear if there's a deleted scene where it would make that make more sense I would be pissed
JT and toby were iconic but i think they could be considered problematic toxic 😭 just the way JT treated toby was bad at times and when he kinda left him behind to hang w the popular kids
Funny story. I’m in 10th grade during season 10 I had no idea about transgender degrassi showed me and Eli line when Adam reveals and says cool. That stuck with me and I’ve always respected them
My favorite friendships were probably eli and adam, eli and fiona, riley and anya, fiona and holly j. I wish Darcy and Jane had more time together. Also, unfortunately, and IKNOWIKNOW, I am an Emma apologist. She's toxic, she's a hypocrite, and she's my girl. I can never seem to find the good side to Ashley though.

As long as we agree Emma and manny is the worst & in they were real people Emma’s judgement ass would have been one of the girls who called manny a slut in the hallway for years eventually stopped maybe apologized but manny would have probably never trusted her the same.It was really strange how they just wanted to keep these two together. I guess they wanted the whole crazy/level headed friendship but Emma was never willing to bend and manny let her get away with everything.
spinner/jimmy as yearbook after spinner was the reason jimmy ended up the way he did? but alli/clare problematic? they got better towards the end on both ends
Manny and Terry will always be my favorite type of friends because of their loyalty and their kindness. The only thing I DESPISE is how their so-called friends treat them. I ❤ J.T & Toby because they are more like brothers being unbreakable. I ❤ Claire & Ally because they're like sisters but I hate Jenna for what she did to Claire. To me she got everything she deserved from KC. Connor & Dallas had a great friendship. Eli and Adam were the best. Hazel was more of Paige's sidekick than a best friend(in my opinion) Mo and Jake were like brothers. Spinner was more jealous than a friend to Jimmy. Cam could've been friends with anyone, but seemed like the shy new kid. Tiny and Zig are more like brother-from-another-mothers. Everybody else, I couldn't care less
