Yeessss, so many people sleep on Lament of Innocence (I blame Castlevania 64 for giving the "3d" games a less than stellar introduction). I love that game, as well as Curse of Darkness. I'd personally put CoD as A or **possibly** even S tier, but I definitely understand why you (and others) don't. My (personal) S tier would be: Dracula's Curse, Rondo of Blood, Symphony, Lament, and Ecclesia (with potential for Curse of Darkness to be up there too). Which, just to put it out there, isn't me arguing with your rankings at all. I think you did way better at ranking the games objectively than I could. I have too many biases towards certain games in the series to do a truly objective ranking. Keep up the good work my dude.
@@loganthedragon my dude what an awesome and respectful comment. Always incredible to meet some one who holds up the 3d games in high regard. If I'm doing curse of darkness Trevor playthrough I'd prob make it S tier Trevor so fun in that game!
Ecclesia is correct in the S tier. Fixed my biggest complaint with SOTN and the other igvanias where you can just tank your way through. The RPG mechanics aren't completely gone in Ecclesia but you can't really just level up and tank the game in the same way, you really need to learn the enemy patterns and routing. SOTN, Aria etc all get easier the further you get into the game, which seems ass backwards. It's a bummer the series died after Ecclesia as it reintroduced actual difficulty into the series again.
Spent the better part of 2 years finding all these games in the wild at stores and swaps. Honestly, the thing that impressed me the most about the series was the quality of the GBA games. You went over AoS, and it's an amazing game, but shout out to CotM it might not be better, but damn is it almost as good and it has the best soundtrack on GBA!
Loool just wait till part 2 comes out tomorrow. Lmfao Cotm is my absolute LEAST favorite Castlevania game ever out of all casltevania games lmfao. I hate that game with a PASSION
@@bakih20 Oh yea I get you there are certain aspect that havent aged well but I just like Alucards abilities a bit more than the others. I kinda enjoy all the systems being seperate (weapons, spells, familars etc) instead of the GBA/DS games where it all revolves around a single system like souls, Duo characters and Glyphs. But thats def just my subjective taste.
@@marcinszydowski2043 dude, its like a recolor for the whole map as well as a skin change for juste. Helps me not get so lost in all the tiel colors. I think it takes away the ghosting effect as well or makes it not so apparent
@@bakih20 yeah saw it on the video, looks way better. I usually play GB Castlevania on an Analogue Pocket or modded GBA so the bright colors are distracting. Can you share the name of the mod?
@@marcinszydowski2043 Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance - Recolor by JonataGuitar and sorrow is the one recolor and i also did a localization but cant remember the name of it.
I always loved Simon's Quest I played it lot as a kind, I never had Nintendo Power, I don't know how I figured out, but I did find out you had to kneel with the red crystal and blue.
@@Tracy_LLC DUDE, that had to of been awesome as kid finding that out.. i think simons quest is hated on for the wrong reasons imo. I looove that game!
@Tracy_LLC You are actually an insane person figuring out you need to kneel with the blue and red orbs. No sane person will ever find that out without a guide.
