Adding to Grian and Scar’s second death: One of the best parts is that, to the others, the last thing Scar said was “I’m inviting you to a funeral” and then he dies
I'd personally rank jimmy's final death higher simply because the absolute insane series of unfortunate events that led to his death that you really can't even blame him for (he did even look at the enderman it aggro'd through the tree). the game pulled out as much as physically possible to ensure jimmy's death it was absurd
same! it's so sad how Jimmy tried his hardest to avoid it but MC still ruined it - his armor wasn't the best after their last death - tango (or anyone at all) wasn't around to help - enderman aggro'd through a tree - the tree he hope to hide under was on a cliff, so enderman was able to go under it - no food - no water in the bucket - his shield broke like, so many things lined up for his death to happen...
@@noatmealcookie02 the enderman really final destinationed his ass. I've always been a "Jimmy's secretly goated at the life series" truther and every passing series keeps showing how wrong I am. I'm still holding out hope for Jimmy somehow muscling thru the next series but if he dies first a fourth time, I think I'd abandon my conspiracy theory for good.
i believe that joel and etho's final death was a trap that grian made near the beginning of the session, making him unintentionally killing them both. Grian tells joel and etho that he lava trapped a nether portal but they all seemed to forget about it near the end lol
@@micahswendsen6898 it didnt even break they just got unlucky, the nether portal system is weird so without calculating the exact block distance between the portals its just a gamble on whether itd connect to the safe portal or not and they lost the gamble
tbh scars first death was also pretty dumb cuz they were deliberately looking for the source of the crazy amount of zombie noise and then upon discovering it, scar did the most scar thing possible and accidentally fell in with the zombies. as for the 2nd death, scar was also pretty much on brand to not even consider that pile of tnt was booby trapped with a sensor
I'd rank SmallEtho's final death quite low (21-17 spots even), as even though it was a final death, it was quite forgettable and didn't really cause any reactions.. It was a "Oh no!... Anyway.." type of death.. And the final Ranch death could be higher, as Jimmy always going out first was a running joke for the rest of the series. Although it was quite a 'meh' death on it's own, it brought humorous moments with it.
The only redeeming quality about the boat boys final death imo was the “the ship burns, everything burns, including us” line. Everything else about the death makes me cringe so hard cuz I was rooting for them and it was such a bad death 😭
@@poppyseed799 I remember in the video they thought Bdubs & Impulse trapped it but they didn't, I don't know what happened to make the portal do that, do you by any chance?
@@Krihffy I can’t go back to confirm rn but if I remember correctly, it was fairly early into the session, a group of red names trapped a nether portal (trying to kill the yellow names). Joel and Etho were NOT in that group, but later met up with that group, who told them “oh btw we trapped their nether portal”. Joel and Etho were just like “okay”. They probably forgot about that by the time they made their own portal, since they didn’t really talk about the portal trap beyond that small exchange. SOMEHOW the portal they made linked up with the old trapped one, and that’s how they died.
I think death 18 was iconic if you watched Scott, Cleo, or Martyns POV, specifically recalling Cleo saying “He tried to do calculations, but boy is he bad at maths”
I would honestly rank SmallEthos second death higher just because of the dram is caused and their final death lower because this ranking seemed to be based off epicness and they died from their nether portal accidentally connecting to a portal they trapped earlier thinking others were in their, essentially killing themselves
> talks about Pearl&Scott's 1st death in context of being iconic > doesn't mention how Scott basically went 'guess I'll die' and set his respawn during that time lol
I mean...Pearls final kills were amazing. Especially when she chanted. "Something wicked this way comes." "Something wicked this way comes." Ignore what people say about the death rank list, Pearl gets the top teir murderer tophey.
Joel and Etho weren't hunting Scar and Grian when Jimmy and Tango died for a second time. They had been hired by Cleo and Scott to make a hit on Jimmy and Tango.
I probably would’ve put grian and scars final death higher up just because of the warden and how he succeeded and how it was the warden I mean you can’t go too wrong with a warden death tbh
I was happy to see tilly death do us part win it was the best part Purl has the best story in the whole series. I would have put her 2v1 with Bdubs and impulse higher but I'm glad it got to the top tier. it was awesome. her singing something wicked this way comes which singles her embracing the title of witch that Ren gave her. as well as the death of tilly made it very memorial to me.
I would put Grian and Scar's First Death the higher than their second one because their dumb decisions were not the main cause and it was unexpected and no way to cheat their first death.
i mean they were literally trying to locate where all the zombies they heard were at. then once finding the source of the zombies, scar did the most scar thing possible and fell down into the hole with them lol so id still slightly base that on dumb decisions + scar being scar lol was honestly amazed grian and scar were the final green names. then scar being himself died twice pretty quickly in episode 5 lol
But the winner-setting death is always iconic, grian dramatically having a fistfight with his teammate scar after the whole desert duo journey, the final four going full battle royal becoming Scott and ren fighting on the side of a hill with bows, swords, axes, potions, and a zombie, cementing the second ever winner of third life, and Scott dramatically sacrificing himself out of respect for pearl, especially after her storyline this season “tilly death do us part”
I do kind of appreciate Scar’s death in the zombie pit _specifically_ because it ties into the more famous pool party trap. The reason the trap only had a slow trickle of zombies is because they were backed up- and that highly condensed zombie blockage (what a combination of words!) is what Scar fell into.
6:11 it was grian, impulse and bdubs who made it to try kill martyn/anyone in the nether but pearl was nearby so she helped martyn out to replace the lava
I feel like there wasn’t really much adrenaline to it, unlike a lot of the other deaths. It was pretty significant considering it was their final death, but in terms of how they died, that’s why I put it kinda low on the list
very funny you rank cleo and martyn and bdubs and impulse's death so high cause even thought hey were the last they're kinda boring and forgettable and lump together in my mind when I do remember them. Boat boys deaths and kills were all much more memorable, and even though they were to mobs I think the rancher's first and third deaths were pretty iconic thanks to the circumstances and pure cosmically horrible luck. Their second death feels a lot less memorable I think but that might just be because it was overshadowed by grian and scar's actions and boat boy's deaths and kills in the same session
Pretty good ranking video, however I'd disagree with some of these personally. First, *[No.16]* The chain of events that was caused by Jimmy's death and the way it affected Tango's video was honestly amazing and just for that alone it deserves to be higher. Second, *[No.14]* Scott and Pearl's first death is one of my favourites in the entire series, not just Double Life - First, Joel finally managed to redeem himself and his use of the crossbow rocket preload tech _(One of my favourite things in the entire game)_ by proving its insane effectiveness in combat. Plus, the fact that he killed Scott exactly in the same way he killed Pearl last season (Last Life) is just poetic. Third, *[No.9]* Joel and Etho's death is easily in the top 5 most iconic Double Life deaths for sure, not certain why'd you place it this far lower. Numbers *8 and 7* I'd personally place lower, it was just the two most stereotypical Scar deaths imaginable - Curiousity *(And obliviousness, and also lack of critical thinking, and also complete disregard of safety)* killed the cat. They were the kind of deaths Grian was anticipating from Scar from the very start he found out about them being soulmates. Scar jumping into a pit full of a trillion zombies and then going near a very obviously boobytrapped pile of TNT is simply another Scar death that just burdained Grian if anything. *No.6* is also in the top 3 most iconic deaths for me, it was what started Pearl's personna of the Scarlet Witch - Easily the most timeless part of Double Life. The acting from Pearl there is way too raw and powerful to ever disregard. Meanwhlie No.5 has no rights being this high, it was just a generic trapped nether portal kill, from a trap that Grian made earlier this session and COMPLETELY forgot about. And at last, *[No.2]* THIS right here, is easily the most legendary kill in the entirety of Life Series in my opinion, and I'm sure of many others' too. The sheer insanity of the stalactide timing and the accident of it hitting the wrong target (Pretty sure Grian wanted to kill Etho and Joel with it), thus ruining Grian's secret link with BigB was just crazy. I have genuinely no idea why you ranked Scott and Pearl's final death as No.1. This is a pretty controversial personal opinion of mine, but... Aside from being the final death of the series, there's NOTHING special about this one. Scott pulls his usual schtick of _''haha let's make a completely un-interesting finale by comitting suicide, oh boi so epic!''_ and I just couldn't care about it. Yes, Pearl was the GOAT of the season and ABSOLUTELY deserved the win, being the one to kill both of the last remaining three pairs, but for certain it could've been done in a more interesting way... Yeah sure I understand that it was supposed to be Scott redeeming himself after tossing Pearl behind in the first episode, but once again, it was really done in a generic and uninteresting way, with the two just *staring* each other as the former blew himself up. I can understand why people like this finale, but I'm not one of them, and if anything I don't think it's hard to agree upon that Grian's kill was way more of an iconic part of the series.
I disagree with number one. Nothing can beat Grian's insane stalagtite kill. Also the final death of Scott/Pearl just isn't my favorite for some reason.
Joel and Etho’s final death was pathetic. They died to their own lava trap. And it wasn’t even a good trap. Etho killed them by trying to swim out. All they needed to do was stay in the portal. Heal up with food, go in the lava a bit and then back in the portal to safety in the nether.
Idk what you were thinking with #9, that was iconic Edit: 6:13 nobody made a trap in the moment it just linked with another portal made by who I think was pearl and Martin in episode 1
Yeah #9 was pretty iconic, it was like the first domino to everything else, but I think in terms of the “way they died”, some of the other deaths take that place
I'm calling it right now Jimmy is going to do a surprising come back I don't think he'll be last again since the Jimmy last death I feel like she don't have counted since what angered the Enderman Jimmy was clearly looking at the body not the eyes and I guaranteed if the AI was fixed Jimmy would have not been out first and also it is getting repetitive of Jimmy getting last and also he has some playing the game for 10 years and I believe that he will at least be second to last but I want him to just full Run come around with a at least top 10 if the teams did an automatically just have top 10 actually I kind of want him to get top five maybe even winning the series as a full-on comeback
@@SodioYT funnily enough, it was made by Impulse and Bdubs actually. Since they thought Cleo and Scott's 'red life base' was in the nether. And then when Etho and Joel decided to go in, they just stayed quiet and didn't say anything.
Actually that was Grian's trap, but it was accidental. In last episode, Grian covered with lava a nether portal, that was created by Pearl and Martin back in episode 1. Etho and Joel didn't realized that their portal synchronized with that one, and that's how they died.
Honestly I feel Grians kill is over rated it was pure luck, yes Grians screams afterwards that killed everyone wearing headphones was pretty funny but you hardly had any build up to the kill and it also went against the bigb x Grian thing that to be honest felt really scripted. Im glad the scot and pearls final death was ranked first though it was by far my favorite. “Tilly death do us part”
