Bam Bam Bigelow is a great shout and almost left field as he only held the ECW Title for 45 days. Great look, had legitimacy and was athletic as hell. In another timeline he definitely would win the WWE Championship.
One thing I can point out about both Rhyno and Raven is they both had good runs, and were champions in TNA. While that says nothing about their potential in WWE under Vince McMahon, it does say something about what other promotions thought of them as Raven did have title runs in ECW, WCW and TNA, even if WWE wasn't willing to pull the trigger on Raven. Rhyino (or Rhino as he went by in TNA), had a solid 2 years in the title scene in TNA, and was not far off for several more years after that, in fact, in his 2005 debut, he was the one that took the title from Raven.

I think Justin Credible is 100% a member of the Kliq. He will say he was and so would the other Kliq guys, it's more of WWE's narrative that ignores him being in the Kliq probably because he wasn't much more than a jobber in WWE so that goes against the 5 guys who had Vinces ear and were top to upper mid card guys and used having Vinces ear to stay on top or keep others down. After hearing about ECW on WWF & WCW programming back then it took me years to find the channel in the UK that showed it. It wasn’t until my family were finally able to afford Sky Digital (without going to a friend’s house to watch prime time Wrestling) in late 99/2000 is when I finally got to watch ECW on Bravo TV in the UK but of course I was very late to the party as they would be consumed by the WWF in early 2001 before the WCW buyout

I definitely think Rhino had some potential. When Stephanie was paired with him he was doing pretty well. Also when he's booked how Paul Heyman booked him he comes across as a pretty big threat
Great video Dave, I noticed some of the wrestlers have “white flakes” floating around the screen, at first I thought it was a special effect , but I realized it must be ash from all the forest fire smoke, I knew it was bad, but to actually steep into your computer and effect the video, wow! Okay, I'm going to defend the hardcore title. They used it as a criteria for the old version of the grand slam accomplishment and a few wrestlers have done it this way with Kane being a example. That alone should give it plenty of prestige unlike the trash 24/7 title. I'm loving the channel so far by the way.
Terry Funk's best chance at being WWF World champion was the Iron Sheik's spot in 1983. If Bruno could have stayed longer or Backlund was more ready in 1977, Terry could have been transitional champ for a few weeks on the rebound from his NWA title loss but he would not have been right for the medium term colourful extended interim run that Superstar Graham got.
People maybe confusing the World Heavyweight title with the ECW World Television Championship when it comes to RVD. Sandman can't do anything in the ring unless he's drunk and has a kendo stick. He was once told to come to the ring sober and couldn't do anything and that was the last time he was asked to do that.
not a ecw world champ but i think the in shape bully ray character would have been a real fun heel champ in wwe. I think it is a real shame that vince forced him to stay bubba and never be bully because of the be a star bullying campaign.
Re. Bam Bam - at what point did he get pulled from what became Randy Savage's spot for the year from WM4 to WM5? And how long was the Ted DiBiase Heel World Title Run Plan actually on the table? Hogan and Bigelow were still doing house show main event tags even after the Main Event when Savage failed to win a second IC title, for which Randy got given the year-long paternity cover World title run as compensation.
I think in no specific order the only ones who ever would of had a chance are: bambam - monster and extremely talented Douglas - look, skill, mic chops Awesome - think you are way to low on him, if he didnt get tarred with WCW he would be right up WWE's street, huge, amazing in the ring, put him with a talker like heyman and you have a star. Rhino was only ever a midcarder, taz to small for that era, lynn to small as well and boring talker, funk didnt have the WWE style or look and only got a look because Foley broke the barrier by wich point he was old.
Only wrestler would have a chance at the WWE Title is Shane Douglas ( If he started back in 1998 & given a title shot by the year 2000 ). The rest [ Honestly ] have better chances going after the Intercontinental Title.
I always forget RVD only held the WWECW Championship and not the real one. I think he was slated to win it at one point but got sidelined by an injury or had a falling out with Heyman over not getting paid.
It's easy to overlook. I did hear something similar to you as well, but I also heard that there were never any plans to make RVD ECW Champ because he did such a remarkable job with the TV title. So who knows
