Perhaps a ranking of all the Main Gang’s camps? Colter, Horseshoe Overlook, Clemens Point, Shady Belle, the Guarma camp, Lakay, and Beaver Hollow. Maybe the two ranches from rhe Epilogue too
Ignoring the chapters they take place in: 1-Horshoe Overlook (Gang was at its peak and it has a lot of interactions and good moments, also an amazing view) 2-Clemens Point (Very beautiful place, also has some good interactions) 3-Shady Belle (definetily the best hideout the gang had, with actual beds and a roof) 4- Beecher Hope (Iconic) 5-Beaver Hollow (The interactions in this camp are cleary tense and show the downfall of the gang, but the place does not offer too much) 6-Colter (its devoid of anything, you can only free roam on it once except if you come back later 7-Proghorn Ranch (shitty and borng) 8- Guarma Hideout (Im sorry but its still Guarma, dont even remember the name)
@@kindertak5396putting beachers hope under Clemens point is crazy, all it is an lake with a big tree, beaches hope has that “I’m almost free” , relaxing feeling.
It’s kinda funny how the mission titled ‘The Battle of Shady Belle’ isn’t really a battle at all, whereas ‘Preaching Forgiveness As He Went’ more fits that description. Something tells me they originally named the mission, changed it, but didn’t want to fully scrap that mission title. I love your videos I have subscribed :)
@@cowragegames6880 going through the game files soundtrack, parts of the music in Horsemen, Apocalypses is a more intense version of the one that plays in Preaching Forgiveness. Both missions involve someone storming the mansion. Pretty cool detail.
I totally agree with the ranking for Gaptooth Breach, that place is awsome, there are even wagons with dynamite outside the mine itself and it's got such good terrain aswell, fighting up or down that hill by the mine is more fun that it should.
Just so you know after the mission at Six Point Cabin you can repeatedly go there and kill and loot O’Driscolls, before the end of Chapter 6 ofc, also how about you rank VanderLinde Gang camps?
Hanging Dog Ranch is the best hideout imo. - Lots of enemies (good for sharpshooter challenges). - An abundance of loot. - Scenery is some of the best in the game. - Hunting till you drop.
I am currently playing through the game a second time, after the first time in 2018/2019. I really forgot how amazing it is. Seeing this list though, I actually do not remember ever seeing Gaptooth Breach... In my playthrough I just got back from Guarma, so I guess I will then soon ride in the west in the epilogue. The just continues to amaze. Already saw so much, that I did not discover the first time... Cool video and great channel also, thanks for that.
8:05 that would’ve been a perfect easter egg for that place! Imagine a random noose hanging from that tree right there out front. That’s definitely a cool little missed opportunity Rockstar could’ve added
10.Fort Brennand(before lemoyne raider general bounty mission, with a cool aesthetic) 9.Colter(pretty sure it's only in the epilogue. strong mfs, but I forget which gang it is though, place feels like it has history to it) 8.Thieves Landing(didn't do much at all with it, hoping for more in rdr3) 7.Six Point Cabin(nothing much there. love killing o'driscolls the most imo, and I do think the van der linde gang would've been cozy there to be real. I don't hate it) 6.Twin Rocks(Nice Aesthetic, And I love hitting it before or right after grabbing otis miller's revolver. love how the people there are set up whenever clearing it, almost all the time it feels like a western movie gunfight) 5.Fort Mercer(was really hoping they made it a military town like in the first red dead, so I was gutted when I first went there, but still a great hideout for chewing through del lobos) 4.Beaver Hollow(most gripping aesthetics of any hideout, and I find myself around that area a lot, stumbling along their hollow. I think they're in a perfect location) 3.Hanging Dog Ranch(perfect cowboy set, love that it's always active throughout every chapter. lots of enemies. perfect location as well; right on the edge of a huge flatland with grizzly bear infested forest behind them) 2.Shady Belle(Must needed location, and love that it's overtaken by raiders throughout most of the story. had a lot of fun stolen hat hunting there) 1.Gaptooth Breach(agreed on it being the best set piece and structure, and nostalgia hits hardest going there. the enemy counter is beautiful and bountiful, also love going stolen hat hunting here)
I was actually able to enter shady belle with the hunting wagon mod i parked it next to the broken window in arthurs room and climbed up idk if it works with ANY wagon tho
Regardless of your ranking choices thank you for making this video, wasn’t sure on where a lot of the gang hideouts were in this game after replaying rdr1, combat in these games is so simple yet satisfying like nothing else.
one cool video you could make is to show all the hidden gems and treasure that respawns on the map to collect. for example, at Shady Bell, on that small family cemetery is a kript in which you can occasionally loot 20$ and a large bag of jewelry worth 50$. and many other places have lots of cash and valuable items that constantly respawn after a while. I always loot those places and have lots money to buy me the best weapons and clothes afterwards. and yes, many gang hideouts are worth going to because you can loot loot money and other items from dead enemies. the Hanging Dog Ranch of O'Driscoll gang always has 110$ cash inside the house to collect. on the upper level, near the bunk beds.
Also Solomon's folly has a bug that you can use to increase your loot. Go in the basement first, and grab the money off the table, a small amount of like 15$, then clear out the entire hideout and head back to the basement. The money will be respawned and there will be about 150$, pretty decent loot
I don't think Twin Rocks counts as a gang hideout in RDR2. I think it's just populated by homesteaders who will turn hostile if you trespass and will shoot you if you don't leave. The giveaway is that you lose honour for shooting anyone there. The confusion may be because the same location most definitely was a hideout in RDR1... I seem to remember you could get the Volcanic Pistol there for free by killing the gang leader and freeing a hostage.
I like fort Mercer, because in the call to arms missions it feels like the Alamo, like when I’m playing those missions I feel like such a badass holding off waves upon waves of enemies. It just scratches that itch to have a hopeless last stand kind of battle😂
You can actually access the interior of shady belle after you clear out the lemoyne raiders, and come back to the area after a while, but not more than 3 in game days because they respawn. Also, the hanging dog ranch has a lockbox in the upper room of the main house which has at least 50 dollars, not counting the jewlery in the closet also in the main house. Better loot than Thieve's Landing for example
I cleared Shady Belle one time long before the gang settles there and came back after a while. The place was empty, barricades had disappeared, the house was open and empty.
Just so you know but the interior of shady bell is accessible. I'm not sure exactly how you get in but i think in order to get in you have to kill the lemoye raiders multiple times.
Can we get a countdown for OUR gang’s campsites? . Horseshoe Overlook, Clemens Point, Shady Belle, that little one in Guarma, that temporary shitty one in the swamps, and Beaver Hollow
Yeah I also love shady bell I have a safe file where I keep the game at Shady Bell just because it's my favorite camp of the gang to stay and its also very central on the map
You get a bunch of money and it respawns in the house of hanging dog ranch. It's like $100 if I'm not mistaken, up the top floor of the house. Just break through the window until you get to chapter 6
You can enter shady belle after chapter 4, just need a wagon and climbing something, though you can break the windows I think but it could be a glitch on my end
Completely random and unrelated but you ever checkout the WildRP server for Red Dead? As a big fan of westerns it seemed like it’d be kinda up your alley
i hope u read the comments. i love ur voice. i lvoe rdr2 but i’m just a girl and i had to say that. ur the best. please PLEASE keep making videos like this
Damn I've had this game since summer 2019 so a good but if years I never went here I found Otis millers revolver I found this and that I'm not sure if I've been here yet or it's been a while
I need a rating of purchasable homes and apartments in RDR1. MacFarlane ranch has a good interior, but location-wise, leaves a lot to be desired. Also, while Fort Mercer is iconic, its also unnecessarily spacious. The best part about it is when you enter in with a GOD DAMN GATLING GUN! Its also very buggy, when I tried to loot an armoire, the game just crashed.
you should make a rdr2 and 1 character tier list, or you can make a good to evil list of every known character in rdr1 and rdr2 including strangers, main characters, heck even those sheriifs everything @@filmsbyhen
i really wish six point cabin was something else but it was just thrown in last minute also if you look at the game files and developer notes it was added in the delay time RDR2 had everything besides the mission just had six point cabin before and after the mission six point cabin had used all the odrisscoll hanging dog ranch dialogue being referred to but no dialogue files and notes with six point cabin its really sad six point cabin was only added within after the dialogue recordings and just made it way less interesting in fact nobody even in valentine besides 2!!!! whole npcs have referring dialogue to it
Every gang hideout Solomons folly Six pount cabin Bolbor blabe Twin rocks Fort brenend Fort mercer Shady belle Gaptooth breach Thieves landing Beaver hollow Hanging dog ranch Edit there is also that one small camp with the skinner brothers up in tall trees by the lake
@@filmsbyhen In the farmhouse, The doors are locked but you can access via the top window, There's a loot box with 2 Bill Stacks which gave me 110 dollars, Combined with looting all the dead O' Driscolls, It got close to 150, Not sure about 1907 when the place is taken over by the Laramie Gang though
First off Hanging dog ranch wasnt abandoned the owners were slaughtered by O'driscolls and theirs a big stack of cash on the seacond floor You really did it dirty
Beaver hollow is just so awful interesting that all the nasty stuff remains in the cave even when Van der Lindes take over I would definitely remove murfrees from the game cuz skinners is enough
