I personally think if you're not playing endless. Kayla is probably the strongest character from lvl.1 straight through to lvl.90ish or however far you get in 20 minutes. she's just busted in every way. Endless runs? not really made for them. but everything other then an endless run she is just broken on every level. she's sorta the opposite of gura. Gura's sorta a weak character to level up, maybe a bit hard, and in a 20 minute match she doesn't feel special. but the longer the runs go the stronger she gets. till when the yagos show up she instantly rockets to a top 3 spot depending on how your playing it. Robocco is probably the strongest endless run character, she's pretty good in a 20 minute run, but she's just utterly broken in endgame.
Fair analysis! I like the counterparts comparison between Kaela and Gura, though I do still feel the ramp for Gura feels a lot more of a chore than Kaela's eventual falloff does. It's definitely a big factor as to why both are pretty popular endless run picks though, with how different their playstyles feel for it. Thanks for watching!
mumei used to have by far the best dph before she got nerfed and kronii had the highest continuous dps for the longest time. i think mumei is the only character that was nerfed twice because she was still too strong after the first nerf.
My Favourite unit so far is Korone, maxed her out and cleared the first 4 stages first try with her. Well really 2-3 after I grinded the first stage for buffs and what not but she is hella easy to use. I am looking to see what characters to possibly use in the future though
She is I agree! I think the biggest benefit to having a true-neutral style character is how user-friendly they are; no stacks to track or complex skills to memorize or living or dying by the RNG of getting certain items. Korone would sincerely fit right in being unlocked from the start.
@@Petrisha a unit you didn’t rate is Mumei, so far I think she is pretty bad, but the problem for me is that I get overwhelmed due to her low fire power early on. I am thinking of maxing her out to see if it improves, or is he like how you described aqua (too much ramp up)
Korone for me is one of the strongest and my personal favorite. Her main weapon is amazing and easily melt swarms and bosses alike, her skill are all rounders that covers almost every important stat: HP, Haste, Healing, Attack and Damage resistance. Her special is ok, not bad nor amazing, just another tool for her to use, but her punches most of the time is all you need. For me, she's the all rounder jack of all trade character and she works in pretty much any stage.
Yep I'd definitely place her under the heading of a tanky all-rounder! The fact that the more you rotate through her kit, the more her punches just go nuts and the more punishment she can take is nice, for sure. thanks for watching!
To me it depends on versatility. On how easy it is to build for them and how reliant they are on RNG. Some characters will literally carry you like Suisei, you can make a mess out of her build and still win, Roboco is another good example. Calli can delete bosses faster than anyone but she is so build dependant and so constrained by RNG that you are always praying that all the stamps, multipliers and Kusogakis actually drop or else your dmg will be... Bland.

As someone who is trying to 100% the game and using all characters, I find it hilarious how I love Fubuki’s playstyle, you hate Fubuki’s playstyle yet we can both agree just how frustrating Aqua and her kit truly is. I think her main issue really stems from 2 things, firstly her Special is just garbage, it’s slow moving and doesn’t really have a seemingly good damage output, although it does push enemies back a bit to give you a bit of space. Secondly; her ability Klutz needs a rework; why is there a 10% chance to only do half damage? For 1 single extra projectile to ONLY Multi-Shot weapons?? The drawback seems unnecessary especially when you can enchant all projectile weapons to have an extra projectile via an anvil (if rng allows it) In my opinion, the best way to tweak Aqua currently is by removing the chance to only do half damage and making it so that both Multi/Ranged weapons have an extra projectile as 3 out of the 4 super collars are ranged, while Dragon Fire is the only one that is multi shot; this would really allow for safer experimentation with Aqua and make her able to have much more consistent survivability coming into late game.
Fubuki's really is the love-it-or-hate-it playstyle! Only with Update 0.6 did we finally get a character who kind of plays like her (Kobo), so for the longest time she was the chosen one to people who loved it and the outcast to people who hated it. I have a video where I talk about changes I would love to see made to certain characters, and Aqua was one of them. My only real suggestion was to consider her Special as being a broom, that way it gets to benefit off of all the wet stacks you've thrown out. It'd be a really simple adjustment logisitically and would leave it up to the player to decide how strong it's going to be. In Klutz's defense, a 10% chance to do half damage is effectively a 5% drop in your overall DPS if we're doing napkin math, so loading up your arsenal with two or three more multi-shot weapons - and as you said - getting +projectile enchants and then buffs like Membership will skyrocket your hitrates and damage over time! I agree though that it creates two problems: as I mentioned in the video, it creates the single-slowest ramp in damage in the whole game, and you're totally spot on in saying that as the damage requirements get higher and higher, there is a degree of RNG getting introduced as Aqua. Fauna is my favorite by far gameplay wise. Self-sustain is always great and I like how her weapon doesn't need to be aimed so you just need to worry about movement.
