I know Waluigi Pinball is amazing and everyone loves it, but I really think one of the Mario Kart 8 retro tracks deserves to be number 1. Ribbon Road is beautiful.
I honestly think Ribbon Road and Cheese Land deserve first and second, respectively. While other retro tracks add a couple new features and improve graphics, those two tracks were COMPLETELY overhauled. I didn't even notice that they were retros for the longest time. Waluigi Pinball is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, MK courses of all time, but its retro variant isn't very exciting. It's just Waluigi Pinball again, this time with slightly better graphics. Kind of unfair that it's regarded as the best retro just for existing. Of course, I don't get to control NB's opinion. This is just my two cents.
@@wow-thanks Honestly tho. The best part about mariokart 8 is that they put all of their effort in making all of the retro track feel like new standalone tracks. And it worked WONDERS for them.
True, the track is literally the same and I don't think it deserves first place. Probably if he had also added the mario kart tour tracks the best on the list would be the mario kart tour Waluigi Pinball.
A note on Wii's Ghost Valley 2: the difficulty level raised significantly if you first played the game on an old square-screened tv where the back lighting was dying. The track becomes practically pitch black all around & the sharp corners and wall-less sections were excessively hard to navigate, that way.
@@stuffenjoyer6677 Oh yeah, I had that....that's growing up poor in the 2000's for you 🤷. We were lucky we even got our hands on a Wii. It was on sale the autumn before x-mas in 2009 lol.
The fact that he put Waluigi Pinball as number one for BOTH lists honestly triggers me. I don't think that it's the perfect track people claim it to be.
Maybe it could be a series: Ranking Every Nathaniel Bandy Ranking Every Videos Ranking Every Nathaniel Bandy Mind Blowing Videos Ranking Every Nathaniel Bandy Triggered Videos Ranking Every Bathaniel Nandy Videos
Imo i dont see you ranking the track lil dude. Definitely took a good bit of time to rank all these tracks. After labeling 90 tracks id probably just say my favorite. Cause in reality if someone who plays nintendo as much as he does if his fav track was number 1 then im gonna guess theres plenty of people who would agree and disagree. But I don’t think anyone is going to count the angles of turns and how its layed out. Thats what forza and assetto is for this is mario kart gang. Not exactly competitive even in online. If ur not cheating like 80% of the online mario kart community
I don't really have an interesting idea for a comment, but Merry Christmas to everyone and an extra Merry Christmas to Nathaniel Bandy and his bro, Bathaniel.
I personally would’ve put Mario Kart 64’s Rainbow road as number 1 because graphically/visually what couldn’t be done on the 64 is made up on the newer version.
I have a bone to pick with Cheese Land. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE MOON. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE IN SPACE. It was based that little cartoon myth that the moon was made of cheese...at least, that’s what I saw. It just looks like a boring desert now. NB even says something along the lines of “you can barely tell it’s a remade track”. I see that as a negative for the glory and honor of Cheese Land.
4:08 I absolutely hate this track with a burning passion. The ramps can be hard to avoid, and once you hit one, you get on a path of ramps that will inevitably throw you off the road.
Back in 2005, we went on a Mediterranean cruise. It was our last big adventure before having a baby (and we kind of planned it that way). One of the places the cruise was supposed to go was Corsica, but because of a dockworkers' strike we couldn't go there and the ship instead made an unplanned stop at Menorca. That turned out to be one of the most charming places we would visit. The two largest towns on Menorca, Mahon and Ciutadella, are at opposite ends of the island, and they have these old historic downtowns with all these stone buildings. Anyway, the DS Delfino Square remake on the Wii is my favorite remake level in part because the whole aesthetic just reminds me of that visit to Menorca--the sunny landscape, the sea, the medieval-looking stone buildings. When we were raising a little kid and not able to go on big adventures for a while, that level always brought back these happy memories.
Am i the only person who didn't mind the length of N64 Rainbow road? It was the last track in the game, so it felt epic just cruising around forever and it felt like an endurance test when you played it against your friends.
Finally, someone else gets it! That's what I've been saying as well. Not to mention it's a beautiful track with awesome music. Unfortunately, they ruined it in Mario Kart 8. It looks nothing like it did before, they shortened the track, and worse of all, the race is too short. It's so short, the music doesn't even have time to loop before you reach the 3rd section of the track. It's been redesigned for people who have too much ADHD for the original, but Mario Kart 8 is guilty of changing many tracks way too much.
I honestly love the traditional “grand price” style tracks. I know those aren’t the main appeal of Mario Kart but I’m also a motorsports fan so it’s like a fun clash of worlds for me.
I'd personally move 3DS's Koopa Cape remake down to, say, 90 or so. That remake bugs the heck out of me. I hate what they did to the pipe segment, turning one of my favourite cources of all time to just ok. So I hate it. I know it's only one half of the track but it's enough changed and it changed to be so bad that it does ruin the track for me.
