Book is A tier. Top 10 in scoring and assists. Incredibly efficient. The suns offense completely fell apart when he wasn’t out there. Whether scoring or not.
Joker, Giannis both have finals MVPs and multiple MVPs. Luka is averaging MJ numbers, dropped 72, a 60/20/10 triple double, iconic game 7s, and has 5 all NBA FIRST teams in 6 seasons. The only season he didn't get it was his first. SGA just needs more time in the game and just hasn't reached those heights yet.

Khris Middleton didn't play the full season, but what he did play (including playoffs) was at the borderline all-star level that he's become accustomed to playing as. No way he was similarly impactful as Bobby Portis

Shai is clearly a step above some of the other players in A tier. LeBron, KD, AD don't belong in the same tier as Embiid, Shai, Tatum, probably even Steph. Those guys are the second tier of stars, clearly a step above the rest aside from the very obvious and undisputable top 3.
Even if you think Tatum is better than Brown -- the gap isn't big enough to put them in separate tiers IMO. Jaylen thriving offensively due to more attention being on Tatum shouldn't be a detrimate to his ranking.
Tatum does literally anything outside of scoring and on ball defense miles better , it’s really not that close unless you’re only judging them off scoring and on ball defense
JB isn’t een a better scorer. He’s more efficient but JB has not shown us he has the repertoire or peak scoring that Tatum has. He not even more consistent contrary to popular belief
@@jasontdawson Hard to believe after this last playoffs. ECF MVP and FMVP over Tatum is a big statement about closing the gap. It is close. Not only is JB getting better JT has plateaued and to some regressed... All JB need is a few big scoring nights and it's a wrap. This is our modern day Shaq in Kobe as far as teammate comparison drama goes.

I do think Dame belongs in A tier for one more season and only one. This by all means should have been his adjustment season to playing on a different team in over a decade and in a role that doesnt have him at the focal point. If he cant pull it together and get his production to at or below previous good seasons, B tier for sure.

Curry’s team makes him not S, not curry himself that pack so much before he just gets all of the defensive coverage, and then his efficiency goes down because nobody else is doing anything
Steph is the only scoring option for the warriors those inconsistent stretches were more towards the end of the year we're we can agree the fatigue def played a part. I still think he's S considering those other S tier players had all star level help

The top of the list is way to crowded anyway. There is no way that Embiid, Shai and JT should have to put up with being in the same tier as LeBron, KD and AD, probably also not JB or Ant. But Embiid, Shai and JT are also clearly a step below Jokic, Doncic and Giannis.
i feel like yall underrate Defense a lil bit. jrue and OG are two of the very best perimeter defenders in the entire league and youre out there acting like a C is debatable
This narrative implies that both players would have won if healthy and I think that's a bit generous, especially in Tmacs case. We saw tmac healthy in the playoffs several times but never made it to the 2nd round. Blew a 3-1 lead in 03 and underperformed in 01, 07, and 08 when healthy. The rockets actually made the second round without him, after he got hurt and Yao led them to 7 games against the championship Lakers team in 09. Same thing with embiid, relatively healthy in 18, 19, 21 with minor injuries but underperformed in those years as well. But now Philly has put a great team around him and a great coach. It's possible embiid can win next year because he's def talented enough to be a 1 option.

I'm not a Celtics fan and I agree with this list. That's what makes the Celtics such a great team. Derrick is giving u elite defense and shooting while averaging 17 4 and 4. The defense is good enough to eclipse not averaging like 20 plus for him Jrue on the other hand is giving u elite defense with really good passing, efficiency and playmaking. He shot 50/40/95 in the playoffs. Again the defense and playmaking of the two is enough to bridge the gap in scoring against players like DeRozan in C tier

Tatum is not paid to be a 30 ppg scorer , we all knew his scoring would go down bc of the help he had, and also , just bc he had more help and spacing , his shot selection stayed the same , so 48% isn’t even bad for the shots he takes
@@BenjaminRatthe he didn’t take bad shots for him , the only reason why it’s at 48% is bc half of his shots are 3s , and he shot 38% and was the best pull up 3 point shooter from the start of 2024 to the end of the regular season , like high volume 3 point shooters rarely ever shoot 50 % or more , this was the best version of Jayson Tatum we’ve ever seen as a complete player , he may not be the shooter he was in 2021 , but his playmaking , defense, finishing , decision-making , ability to read defenses , etc , are all Miles better

Ok I agree that dearron is probably B tier but he's not one of the best 2 way guards. He's just good at getting steals his actual defense is not anything more than decent.
@@gurhhjde2937 a few years ago u would be right. This yr he was 87th % in defensive epm if u dont like that he led the league in steals. I wouldnt compare him to someone like caruso but hes definitely right behind someone like sga at this point in his development
