I will defend Mario Party 8 until the day I die! I do agree though, some of the minigames are kinda janky, but I think the boards are really clever and memorable. I may be biased because of nostalgia, but it is far from the worst Mario Party imo

I grew up mostly playing GameCube because my parents refused to buy me a SNES or a N64. Absolutely love the GameCube.

I may be biased because I’ve been playing it for a long time, but I love the Wii U. It has a lot of underrated games. (And it has Pikmin 3, an amazing game.)

This video really made me remember how many great games the Gamecube had despite its poor sales.

Still have my GameCube. It's so old, it's scratched up, it takes like 25 minutes to actually work, occassionally crashing And I'm proud to have it. S tier for sure

The DS Lite will always be my favorite game console of all time. I think it's the combination of the awesome gba and ds libraries and my nostalgia because it was the first console that I played that was actually mine. Also I'm pokemon trash.

Man, I was with you for a while. I was giving you some shit in my head for putting so many things in S, but man. Undercutting the underrated Wii U. Also BotW is a Wii U game more than it is a Switch game; it was designed and optimized for the Wii U, and the Switch version is more or less just a port. Saying BotW is a Switch game is like saying TP is a Wii game. 3D World, Mario Maker 1 (which was better originally, but MM2 has given us more features more recently that has made it better), Hyrule Warriors, Nintendoland, BotW, DK: Tropical Freeze, Splatoon, Star Fox, Pikmin 3, continuing the Virtual Console trend, the definitive way to play Wind Waker...and the list of amazing content just goes on and on xD Not to mention the amazing benefit of off-TV play as well as a disconnected dual screen setup allowed for a lot more creativity in the gameplay. The only thing it did wrong was the battery life of the gamepad as well as the marketing. You GET IT OUT OF C-TIER RIGHT THIS MINUTE D< Haha, and nah, for those few of you out there that are going to take this seriously, I'm just kidding. I do think the Wii U is underrated af (I put it in A in my personal tier list), but people are entitled to their opinions xP

Your Mario Party DS beef makes little sense -- other people don't need to have the game to play it, to this day I play it with friends through Download Play, still one of the best Mario Party games

3DS is S tier, with a huge improvement on the previous handhelds, and the best library of any nintendo console IMO! (Plus who can argue with a cheeky bit of backwards compatibility?!) Anyways, suck it nerd, love the vid as always

The NES is a classic. A tier. Game Boy, C tier. I think you're seriously forgetting how important the Game Boy was. Also DS underrated? It's literally the best selling handheld of all time and people always remember it fondly?

I always had respect for Nintendo on how they try something completely different every console unlike Xbox (Microsoft) and PS4 (Sony) which always looked the same.

The red Wii was just a Wii Mini, so it was just a Wii without internet. I don't know who would've had enough experience with both the Wii and the Wii Mini to put them separately on a console tier list.

In my opinion, if you stick with the big Japanese 3rd party devs, the nes still holds up great. It’s when you look at stuff like unlicensed games or games published by LJN, acclaim, or the non-arcade games made by Midway where it’s age starts to show

My own tier list would be: S: Switch, SNES, GameCube A: Wii, 3DS, N64 B: DS, NES, GBA C: Wii U, GBC, GB D: Virtual Boy The Switch's original library combined with better versions of the best Wii U games makes it too good. I grew up with the N64 and it still has some great games, but many did not age well (Goldeneye, Smash 64, Mario Kart 64) and its library is actually pretty small.

Ok hear me out hear me out, the Wii U can play every console except for the 3ds and obvsly switch and it was the first hd console for Nintendo; therefore, s tier 🤩

I was so worried when he pretended to put the GC at A instead of S. My disappointment was almost immeasurable, and my day was almost ruined. Also, love that he used the music for Pokémon TCG while talking about the GBC.

4:11It’s cool, but you probably should have figured out your criteria for the rankings before starting what can be a ‘possibly agitative’ tier list. I think ‘history’ is a good element(it provides some context as to the limitations it had and how it circumvented/revolutionized them), also ‘intend/execution’ (how well it does what it’s suppose to do, if it lagged, ran out of battery quickly, bad buttons ect. And maybe how long it stayed that way), and playability/options(how many tittles it had and how many hours you could easily spent on them feeling satisfied/entertained). Also price/accessibility would be an extra one i’d use for ties, and *maybe* ‘aging’ as also another small factor (how it stacks up in entertainment/fun value compared to today, could you play it today for hours and be entertained despite having other options...of course this is a tricky subjective element so i would probably only bring it up last)

Addition on the DS section, the multiplayer modes in TLoZ Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks were amazing

S - Gamecube, Super Nintendo A - Switch, Wii, DS, 3DS B - Wii U, Gameboy Advance, Gameboy C - Nintendo 64, Nintendo Entertainment System, Gameboy Color D - Virtual Boy Extended thoughts: NES is that system that I always found cooler as a piece of history than as a video game console. The number of games I legitimately enjoyed on this system I can count on my hands. I understand that's probably a result of being born in a time when 3D was the norm, but at the same time I think modern 8-bit style games are rad, so I really just think most NES games aren't very good. SNES surprised me. My first experience with most of these games was from the SNES classic. After playing and loving all of those games, I went out and bought more games like DKC2, Final Fantasy IV, Chrono Trigger, etc. I have yet to play a game on this system that hasn't impressed me in some way. I think that's a testament to how finely the game developers had honed their skills in 2D games for this period. Gamecube was my first home console so I have a bit of bias. I adore almost every 1st party release on this console, despite being aware of the lack of variety when it comes to 3rd parties. I can't possibly remove my bias when attempting to judge this system in any fair manner. Some of my all-time favorite games are from the N64, but when I look at the library as a whole, I just see a lot of poorly aged and poorly implemented early 3D games that feel more like they were capitalizing on trends than making games for the intention of having fun. Ironically, I don't feel this with the Wii motion controls because a lot of Nintendo 1st party games actually used them very well, or made them completely unnecessary to play the game. And while it is loaded with shovelware, the library is quite solid too: Mario Galaxy, Smash Bros Brawl, Kirby Return to Dream Land, Metroid Prime Trilogy, DKC Returns, Golden Eye, etc. Wii U is the console I have the least experience with. The only games I ever played for it were Zelda Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8, DKC Tropical Freeze, and Smash 4. The system was pretty lackluster in terms of 3rd party support, but with how many games they are porting over to their newer system, it's hard not to think that the 1st party stuff was really well beloved. So I can't judge it too harshly just because I myself have not experienced most of it. Switch is the console I play most frequently ever since I got it. The 1st party releases are so solid and the sheer number of titles from older consoles that I can now play handheld is insane. The biggest gripe for me is the online. Smash Ultimate works decently well, but Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Mario Maker 2 are super hit or miss. It's also a pain that Nintendo refuses to just release their older games on the eshop and instead chose to give us games via a subscription service that they only update like 4 times per year. Nintendo would make more money by giving us these games on the eshop, they are literally only doing this to be stubborn. As for the handhelds, Gameboy is fine. It's a handheld NES with Pokemon, and not much else for me. Gameboy Color has like 4 exclusives worth playing. Gameboy Advance and DS are great systems but each have one flaw that holds back some of its library from being truly amazing. With the GBA, it's the dark screen and lack of X and Y buttons, and with the DS, it's the forced implementation of touch-screen gimmicks that can cause hand cramps. 3DS is more or less on par with the original DS, but I felt the DS had a lot more variety in its library. On the 3DS, it felt like it was just platformers and RPGs and not much else.

I wish the wii U would had stayed on the market longer with the switch!

Nah fr, I played Chinatown Wars for like a half hour one time and it was one of the most uniquely fun gaming experiences I’ve had in history. Super underrated title and glad to hear that Peebs shares that opinion
