One of the most prominent graphical changes between SSA/Giants and SSF/onward lies in the new character models for all of the old Skylanders. Some of the new models look like gorgeous fulfillments of the original design (take Whirlwind, for example), but others look washed-out and stripped of personality (observe Wrecking Ball's blank stare). In particular, the HD models tend to have less saturated colors and more neutral expressions than the originals, which can in some cases result in a loss of personality or the noticeable "plastic" look. (Compare Sunburn and Whirlwind's HD models, for example, or the old Spyro model with the new one). Some HD models are clear improvements, while others are cartoony downgrades on the original concept. (In some characters, like Sonic Boom, the Skylander's personality changes completely between the two; Sonic Boom's original model is darker in color and fiercer in appearance, whereas her HD model opts for a softer, lighter, feathery design.) Ultimately, I think it comes down to player preference. Personally, however, I've always preferred the grittier, more spirited design of the original models.
You know ive been thinking of getting superchargers but i wonder how good is the story, (graphics i already know) gameplay, car part and boss fights? And an overall rate of how good the game is! (Edit i MEANT SUPERCHARGERS AAAAAAAH)
i personally loved the story and gameplay. boss fights aren’t as memorable as other games but still fun nonetheless. what’s most important is that swap force has the best gimmick BY FAR in my opinion. the characters are amazing and the fact that the top and bottom halves have unique moveset and upgrade paths is insane. swappers are essentially 2 skylanders in 1. i also thought the ability challenges were a lot of fun and a great implementation since they were optional and a brief departure from the normal gameplay
SSA on all other Consoles than Wii (And Wii U) has a different Engine, programmers and artstyle but same Models and Textures. And Trap Team also uses VV Engine and Toolset but it has completly different code. SSC is the first game after SF that uses part of its code.
To me Swap Force on newer-gen (e.g. Xbox One or XSX) is #1, it's gorgeous high-def with I think the right level of color contrast and 3D model definition. I respect the technical achievement of Trap Team graphics, but to me it looks too much like a cartoon or animated kids movie, it all seems too soft and rounded. Thx for the video !
I would say that the versions of swapforce, trap team and superchargers should be at the bottom if it was my list like those games are so ugly but you did refrense the wii version of giants so i guess where even🤣
