I absolutely love midir, he is my favorite of all time. The spectacle of fighting a giant dragon who is a direct descendant of the ancient dragons alone is so awesome. Plus his fight is challenging but its not bs. plus the ost is a pure dopamine hit

Isshins got to be my favourite from all of them he was so difficult and the phase transtition after an easy genichiro fight to ishhin was very cool

After beating all the souls games, I have to say Gael is by far my favorite boss, his fight was just perfect in every sense of the word. Awesome tier list I agree with nearly all of them, so close to 100k subs as well can't wait to see it.

1:07:35 If you go to the four belfries there is a teleporter that can allow you to fight the Grafted Scion a second time and he gives okay loot, this is also needed to Nepheli Loux's questline.

See the thing is you’re right. Midir is the best dragon fight they’ve made… but it was also the culmination of half a decade of learning how to do it properly. Kalameet WAS the best at the time. It was mindblowing how good it was. Then Midir came along and it was no longer a competition

My issue with tier lists that rank all the games together is that there is no way the best Demons Souls or DS1 boss could be put in the same tier as the best ER or BB boss. The quality of bosses just gets so much better the further up the series you go

Corrupted monk is one of my favorite bosses in the entire series, it is such an underrated boss. I like false corrupted monk more because phase 1 is the most fun for me and it’s basically just her phase 1 moveset but extended. Her combos are so fluid and incredibly fun to deflect, I have fought false corrupted monk probably close to 80 times, that’s how much fun it is to me. Sekiro’s combat is just perfect. Inner Genichiro, Isshin Sword Saint, and Owl Father are all S tier as well, and regular Geni deserves a lot of credit for being such a good teacher, he’s the wall that we all face and forces us to learn the mechanics, but after you fight Geni then everything clicks

Genichiro is a top 3. Yeah he’s easy now but he is the best skill check boss in any souls game. He whips you into learning sekiros mechanics

I fully understand you with the spider of DS2. I have arachnophobia so I invoked the 2-3 npc available and I was spamming magic. When I rolled into the cliff I felt so desperate 😅

Honestly something that would really push the videos quality is to show footage of each boss as you're talking about them, and cutting back to the teir list once your mind is made up. I get that would take a long time, but i think it would elevate the video from good to great

tried this with my friend because of this video and it took us 2 hours 😭

Average Maliketh enjoyer here with an important message: Maliketh is the best fight in the series, but it takes a while to click since theres an overwhelming amount of mechanics to learn. This is not a ds3 boss, you cant just dodge with circle all the time. He tests your normal dodges, jump dodges, positional dodges and even no dodges at all. Its one of the most varied fights in the series, but its one that if you dont find those hidden attack opportunities you wont like the fight, especially in the second phase. Some examples of those hidden moments: First phase you can jump a lot of attacks like the ground waves attack and some blade hits Some attacks you can just move to the right without dodging or anything and they wont hit Second phase: The normal sword combo you can avoid completely by just being close to him. They wont hit you and you can get some hits while hes doing the combo. If youre far away when he starts the normal sword combo, he can make a spin attack in the air which you have to dodge sideways. The blade on the ground malenia like swirl can be dodged by just moving behind him If he jumps and sits on his sword without an aoe slam: -He will jump forward and do the malenia swirl move if yo try and run away - he will jump back if you stay close to him or behind him, giving you time to attack once he lands In the air attacks: -If he slams the sword on the ground you can dodge the first and jump the second slam aoe for a heavy jump attack -If he spins twice at the end you can run and dodge twice backwards so that you land closer to where he lands at the end of the combo, giving you time to counterattack. To those who dont like Maliketh, i encourage you to go fight him and implement some of this tricks on the boss. Theres fair reasons not to enjoy maliketh, its a do or die boss, most attacks will one shot you if you dont know what youre doing, but i think a lot of people dont give him the credit he deserves because they just havent played him enough and tried to dodge all attacks the same way they always did, when hes so much more mechanicaly complex than that, i rest my case. Also, hes just so sick looking, and the fight is such a spectable to behold, dodgin those sword death waves is the coolest shit in the whole game. Anyways, amazing video Ember, keep making bangers👍

This tier perfect represents my beef with people appraising bosses in FS games. "I'm not gonna take lore and other stuff into consideration , only the fight itself". This is so erong from my PoV.

Friede is so damn incredible. My first playthrough I really didn’t like her because of how hard she is but in retrospect I actually love her fight. They did something so ambitious by doing 3 full health bar phases and it worked.

I feel ludwig deserves a spot right by slave knight gael for me. Taking the time to learn every part of his moveset was the most fun ive ever had in soulsborne. I will admit hes very unothosox and hard to learn. But he is extremly tight and well designed and he wields the sword of swords.

(Sorry for bad english) The Moonlight Butterfly doesn't just randomly rest her head after you dodge her attacks, she is eating flowers placed un specific spots on the bridge. We know this because she only rest at the part where there are flowers and her health regenerates a little bit while it's doing that

If it were up to me, the best dragon boss would be Placudisax by far. Don't get me wrong, Midir was really cool but my God the lead up to Placidusax was one of the coolest things in From Software history. Everything going in reverse, the huge arena, the lightning/storms, and the main man himself just hovering in the center 😲 And the fight was so intense!

Definitely will be seeing the Mythosaur in the finale, no doubt about it 💯
