Am I the only person that thought Ocieros was hard? That no wind up charge he does oneshots you or close to oneshots you, and i feel like fighting him melee only is nothing but bs rng. And hoping he doesnt spam the charge. So I ask once again, why do people say magic is nerfed in this game? If anything Pyromancy helped me destroy it while melee combat felt completely useless and unfair to learn.
As far as Im aware tomb of giants was unfinished because of lack of time. So they just implement darkness in it. Same with Isolith btw - thats why both locations feels bad
I have only played Dark Souls 1 and Elden Ring and think Dark Souls is much harder than Elden Ring. But it scares me that all the other games are even more difficult. Yikes!
It’s actually pretty easy to fix the “easy” open world difficulty problem in my opinion. Simply make it so that you only receive runes from an enemy the very first time you kill them. This would encourage full exploration while also keeping the difficulty more balanced in each area.
I love the thene in Dark souls 2, it's like a Disney world gone wrong, like what if the villain in a fairy tale actually wins ? The answer is dark souls 2.
I’m a massive souls fan, I was there from the start. 2, I appreciate 2. I just can’t help it felt off to me. Maybe it’s the combat sound design? Enemy hit reactions? I can’t put my finger on it, it just felt different in a way to me that no other Souls game did. I think it’s fascinating and I truly want to give it more chances. I just can’t seem to put into words what it is about the feel of the combat that sits weird with me. 😊
Why Farron Keep is probably one of the least frustrating and one of the more enjoyable swamps in the series: great visability of all enemies (all of which are primarily melee) making it extremely easy to aggro them one at a time and lure them to save spots to fight. Those three Elders in a corner are a prime example, just lure them one at a time and its extremely easy.
I just killed him in NG+ and I was honestly a little sad because I wouldn't experience it for the first time never again....bloodborne is my goat but Gael is the best boss in gaming overall especially the music it is magnificent
Before I knew what I was doing in this game I was there waaaay under leveled and fought him all night but he was so epic I couldn’t be mad about it. Finally beat him and he will be one of the bosses that stay in my memory forever
I remember I just beat him in my first try and I was like "that's it?" haha. However, I did strugle against other bosses namely Dancer of the Boreal Valley and Darkeater midir. Those were hard af
