The maroon or “vinotinto” as we call it in Spanish, on the Venezuelan hat, is because that’s the color we use on all our sports… the in fact, the nickname for the soccer team is vinotinto… I agree that it doesn’t represent our flag, but for some reason, that’s the color that represent team Venezuela in every sport.

Great video. For context on Venezuela they are going back to the maroon threads. They switched last time to their country colors, but for sports Venezuela has always been known for burgundy or maroon. In futbol they are known as the "vino tinto". "Wine colored" shirt team.

Mexicos hat has so much potential. Just use the Eagle from the actual flag and colors from the flag as well. The current hat looks very Miami Marlins to me, the colors just seem off.

The story of why some of the Venezuelan national teams use burgundy sure is interesting. The Vinotinto, is what we call it. I've heard and read that it was the Olympic committee assigned the color to Venezuela for the Bolivarian Games of 1938. Other say that burgundy is the result you get when you mix the colors of the flag together. Another story says that we just use it because we want to set ourselves apart from Colombia and Ecuador because our flags are basically the same. The true origin is that the football (soccer) team had to use the uniforms of the National Guard for a friendly match because of color clashing with the team they were facing. The color that represents the Venezuelan National Guard is burgundy (vinotinto) and that's the color that stuck.

Team Israel hat always sells out and I was lucky enough to get one in my size. It is fire. I am not Jewish or from Isreal but fun fact The Team Israel roster is almost all American players so it works for me.

Te Venezuelan hat's color scheme refers to all of their national teams. They use maroon to differentiate them from Colombia and Ecuador.

I'm Japanese but don't worry. I don't like Japanese designs either lol. This design looks kind a dumb. I prefer the Australian and Netherland ones. Nicaragua's design is so simple, but it is clean and I like it. The N just changed to I, but the Italian one is too simple.

I know New Zealand lost in the qualifiers but they had a really cool hat! And their jerseys this year were probably the best jerseys in the WBC.

Mexico attire is one of the best when you combine the shirt and the hat. But number #1 goes to DR they have a great hat and great jersey too. PR got good jersey and hat too and so do the Dutch. Korea hat is good but their jersey isnt that great.

The color of the Venezuelan cap is really Burgundy or Red Wine Color, or as affectionately called in Venezuela, "La Vinotinto," which means Red Wine in Spanish. As for those who wonder why Venezuelan national teams do not often wear the colors of the flag, yellow, blue, and red, here is a story: There are several versions, one is that if you mix yellow, blue, and red, you get the Burgundy color, and another version is... Legend has it that in the mid-20th century, a selection of soccer athletes attended a tournament, and their uniforms were lost. The Venezuelan Military House, which has used the Burgundy color as a gala color since the times of the Heroes of Venezuelan Independence, and almost all South American countries of the Spanish Crown, lent the athletes their Burgundy jerseys, and the team won. From then on, the color was used in all sports Venezuela participated in, resulting in the ability to differentiate from selections like Colombia and Ecuador that share the same colors as the Venezuelan flag. From then on, the Burgundy or Red Wine color, affectionately called Vinotinto, remained in the imagination of an entire country.

Just a little explanation: Venezuelan national teams (soccer and many other disciplines) have been traditionally using maroon as main color in their uniforms for the last 30 years at least, instead of 3 colors on its flag (yellow, blue and red). Official reason for that is kinda unknown though there are some narratives around it. One thing is sure, we Venezuelans share same 3 colors on our flag with Colombia and Ecuador so I guess there must be something to it as well..

In my opinion I think the Panama hat is the best. So you have all the flag colors faded into the Brim and the front part and back part of the hat. Also having a Navy Blue outline across the P. Look amazing I would buy that hat if I had the money. But I’m just an 16 poor broke boy in high school so yeah.

Nicaraguan here lol. The hat is boring. Unfortunately Nicaragua athletics doesn’t have the best jerseys. Last classic the flag was wrong on the hat so I call this one an improvement. Hopefully they make noice like the little league team did. Get the team some exposure.

the K in the korea hat is actually two korean letter "k's" interconnected. "ㄱ" i think thats kind of cool. everyone knocks it for the weird font but they never know why its that shape. that being said, i like the darker navy they used instead of the normal royal/sky blue they rock.
