Griezmann 22nd seems harsh, but it isn't. The player was playing for Atletico Madrid, the club that is famous for their compact defense and the worriors they have in all of their lines. Suddenly, he went to Barcelona where they play the exact opposite brand of football. He has quality in his touches and stuff but he had to work too much to adapt. His first season was practically wasted, as for an entire season he couldn't find a suitable place for himself and he was constantly complaining about his playing time, his position on the field and how much more comfortable he was at French national team. He, his family, and his former agent made some statements that caused stir within the club, or at least among the fans. Paying 120m€ for a player who didn't help in his first season isn't good enough and there is nothing to argue about it. In his first season, Barcelona won nothing. In the second season, Griezmann improved significantly and he scored 13 league goals, which again for a 120m€ signing seem few. Griezmann didn't do enough in the Champions League, he stepped up in the second half of this season and he was crucial in Barcelona's efforts to reach the Copa Del Rey final. His second season for the club therefore, is moderately successful. Now, if we move to his salary... I think he still earns much more than what he has really offered so far. The transfer was completely pointless at the time it was done. It was more a move to impress the fans. I am really curious to see how he can properly fit in Barcelona's 4-3-3 system, especially if Barcelona finds a way to register Messi. Just to conclude, for me Griezmann is the signing that has the stamp of Bartomeu all over it.

Very harsh to put Braithwaite at 19 I get that he's a meme, but they needed an emergency backup for the striker position OUTSIDE of the transfer window. Braithwaite might not be good enough to play for barca, but he has done a job and 16 mil is nothing compared to others above him on the list.

I was living in Catalunya back when Messi and Ronaldinho were playing together. The Masia was the pride and joy of the Cules and there was this sense of a Catalan "way of doing things" that was literally being sold as a formula for success in sports and even business. The "Mes que Un Club" thing could get a little annoying as it toyed openly with a nationalistic strain that was clearly political. But nobody complained when they gave Madrid a 5-0 drubbing in their own stadium. Pep seamed to be heaven sent, a local boy returned to perfect the Dutch magic of Cruyff. Messi, basically another Masia brother, fit effortlessly in a team that took pleasure in passing the ball up through each line and still managed to surprise. But now those values seam to have been lost as you said. Unicef replaced by Qatar Airlines. The Catalan "seny" - their prized virtue of being "sensible" - seams to have evaporated. Now they can't even keep their financials in order. Maybe there were too many conflicting pressures on the Club? Is it a cash machine or a cultural treasure. Hopefully Laporte will have a steadier hand and bring some of his earlier mojo back into play.

He's scores 20 goals last season and imo he single handedly won us the Copa del Rey. Also, Lenglet was amazing in the 19/20 season. The difference between letting saurez go and augero in is the wage difference not the age. Augero will be paid almost 1/4 of what Sauraz was getting paid.

You went pretty harsh on Lenglet. He was bad last season, but very good before, and was at some point the best defender in Barça’s lineup (even if it’s not that hard). He has to be at least in the top10

Let's be clear, whoever they bought since, selling Neymar was the best business Barca have EVER done.

Arthur cost 31 plus 9 mil euro and never managed to win a position in the starting 11 consistently. Why is he 4th again? He was exchanged for Pjanic because he did not meet expectations. Pjanic was disaster and is likely to go for free now, so basically Barca did not get anything in exchange for Arthur (not his fault obviously, but still true). So, one again I wonder why he is 4th? Vidal cost much less and played much better (even though his style did not fit Barca) and even ended as a starter instead of Arthur.

As a Barcelona fan, Greizman has improved every season for Barcelona, has great chemistry with Messi and could still have a great career in Barcelona
