You know what I realized, Yanfei should've been on the volleyball tier. Gurl can already spike fireballs in her attack animation like it's nothing.

Dehya and Cyno easy sweep. They are both pretty fit and athletic people, have worked as a team before, and while the same can be said for the Eula and Amber team, Cyno and Dehya are just both insane when it comes to physical feats. Yoimiya and Sara is not an amazing team up since I feel like they are just acquainted with no experience working as a team, and Scara and Tartaglia would be trying to off one another with every move.

I think yelan would be better in the hiding from the sun category. One of her voice lines is: "This blinding sunlight is such a pain... no way I can get a nap in this weather"

Ok ok, hear me out, Yoimiya organized the volleyball tournament and she's like "Ok! There's only one rule in this tournament, you can't use your Vision, this is just good old fashion volleyball!" Everyone agrees but then like halfway into the game maybe Dehya accidentally flame punches the ball and then it devolves into everyone using their elemental powers to gain an advantage and ends with Scara and Childe swirling the entire beach and getting everyone soaked (because Hydro/Anemo combo). XD

I could totally see Noelle be the lifeguard in this situation, like imagine her telling Itto not to go into the water after eating or putting floatie’s on the kids and Itto/Shinobu 🤣

Random Headcannon: Baizhu would go home with Bennett and Mika to take care of their sunburns then would head back and be the personal doctor for anyone who got hurt while Changsheng would just laugh at them before helping.

That volleyball tier has to be my favorite. I see it playing out like Eula/Amber Amber was the one to get Eula to join as she wasn't that interested at the start, but once they start playing Eula gets a bit competitive and gets a bit serious with it. Amber was playing rather loosely but as she sees Eula get serious, she ups her game to support Eula. They lose though and Eula is a bit upset, so Amber gets her ice cream to cheer her up. Sara/Yoimiya Sara takes the game very seriously, finding the optimal play every time, but Yoimiya is just laughing and having fun. Although they might seem total opposites, they're doing quite well and seem to bond well. Childe/Scara These two are butting heads all the time, with Childe being the to one poke at Scara. They start off as being terrible, but once Scara gets mad enough they start doing great. Cyno/Dehya They're just crushing it, absolute flawless teamwork. They are able to communicate without saying a word to each other and they both crack jokes as the win a round, but ultimately they lose to Childe and Scara Sara and Yoimiya are the winners at the end.

Shenhe and Xiao get convinced by the travelers to try out beach volleyball, and turn out to be a monstrous team thanks to their overwhelming physical capabilities. Imagine Yor playing tennis versus Fiona from Spy x Family and regular people like Yoimiya and Kirara standing on the sidelines with a mortified expression on their face knowing they have to face Xiao and Shenhe next.

i think kuki and sara would make an excellent volleyball team! also yanfei would be great in the volleyball category (her normal attacks are based off of volleyball moves.) and eula and/or scaramouche are definitely yelling "you will never rise from the ashes of your shame and humiliation" if they win. i headcanon yoimiya having a bunch of fun in the water and planning an epic fireworks display for when the sun goes down

Yoimiya's goldfish of doom exploded the volleyball when she got too hyped up. So they had to stop playing and join the people relaxing. Also, with all the people swimming, you need a lifeguard. That feels like an Amber job.

mona is very competitive when it comes to swimming (remember her competition with fischl in 2.8) she would definitely be swimming with everyone. also i feel like beidou would like to play beach volleyball since before going to inazuma she hosted a beachside tournament.

I would've added groups like day drinking in the sand and walking the boardwalk since we always did that when we went to the beach and I can see some characters hunting for souvenirs and trinkets in the shops

When scara kicks over kavehs castle, kaveh starts crying, kokomi and gorou are comforting him, and nahida is having a talk with scara about being nice to others

As for tier list suggestions... one that could tie in with the summer theme is an airport tier list.

my vision is itto can swim but doesn’t really want to cause he can just stand in the water most of the time . he gives me the vibes of someone who both hate putting their face in the water and as someone who wants to watch all the sea life swim by him under the water , so he just tend to either float or stay out of the water all together . i picture that kuki went into the water with the idea that swimming would be easy and had it for the first few minutes but then something touched her or she accidentally got water in either her eyes or breathed it in a little and started freaking out a bit slowly sinking cause she was freaking out and couldn’t touch the bottom too where she was swimming . only to then have itto who had gotten sick of being bitten by crabs (for now , he has a very short attention span in my head) and decided to go for a swim so he could float on his back . but since he’s so tall he has to wade through a lot more water and therefore noticed the rapid and frantic movements of kuki as she was slowly sinking in the water. so he just paddled over to where she was stood up in the water and grabbed her by either he midsection and tossed her on his shoulders or grabbed her by the armpits like a cat (she would seem just as displeased as one after all) . and then proceed to joke around with her about her swimming but ultimately teach her how to (mildly since he isn’t the best at it either but he Can swim is the point ) and how to float since that’s what he does best . only to moments later be bitten by another crab in the water and dive to try and grab it and almost and up drowning too because he forgot the area they were in was too shallow for him to swim/dive normally . ending up in him hitting the beach floor much sooner disorienting himself and then losing his footing when he tries to stand back up because he once again forgot how shallow it was and someone else had to come and drag him out of the water . mean while kuki was enjoying her time talking to someone else in the water learning how to Actually swim better from them after they saw the disaster that is itto . (wow that is a lot of words that probably do not make any sense, goodluck . and if you actually managed to read that you are amazing)

Here's how the volleyball tournament would go. So, it started with Amber and Eula were setting the volleyball back and forth to each other. Then Yoimiya wants to join too and convinces Sara to join with her. However, since Eula has a height advantage, so she is able to plant deadly spikes. Eula and amber dominate until Childe caught wind of this and told scaramouch. Now Eula's height advantage is gone because Childe can return it perfectly. Childe and Scaramouch are dominating so people asked Dehya and Cyno to know them down a peg. It was an epic match but Childe and Scaramouch still was able to pull off the win because Scaramouch kept being able to get under the ball. Almost as if he could control where it went. With further inspection it turns out that Scaramouch had used his Anemo powers to give him and advantage. With that the Fatui boys were eliminated. Childe was very disappointed because he actually played fair and liked the competition. Now with the kings out of the arena there must be a new king so the tournament starts again with Cyno and Dehya getting a bye round leaving Yoimiya and Sara to face off against Eula and Amber. However this time since Sara had seen how Eula and Amber can easily predict where they were going to spike it next. So Yoimiya and Sara claim victory. Now for the battle for first place. The battle was intense. It was a back and forth between them in the end Cyno and Dehya came out victorious. So TLDR; rankings are. Cyno and Dehya - 1st place. Sara and Yoimiya - 2nd place. Eula and Amber - 3rd place. Childe and Scaramouche - Disqualified.

Gotta say that was a great SUMMARY of what all the Genshin people would do on a SUMMERY day off 😁

Imo Hu Tao would either be digging through the sand, trying to look for Qiqi but then get bored because Qiqi is in a shack/seaside restaurant and she couldn't find her. Or she'll be the person to be digging holes to bury people (Bennett) in the sand but leave him afterwards because she got distracted by something else and Bennett spent the entire day being trapped under the sand because he's stuck lol. Or she would wear a shark fin and swim underwater to try and scare kids lmao. I'd even say she brought a pack of red dye to freak out the entire ocean by pretending to be eaten by a shark.

In my head all my OTPs are having their romantic moments during the day, and this is how they go: - Benzor: Benny's day is saved when Razor helps put some ointment on his burned back and they ooh and aah over the treasures and shinies Razor hunted during the day. Razor gives the prettiest treasures to Benny. - Ittorou: Itto buys Gorou sweets to congratulate him for winning the sandcastle contest and they sit on a rock by the sea so Itto won't have to walk on his crab bitten foot. - Cynonari: After Cyno is done crushing it in the volleyball match he goes back to the huge blanket he and Tighnari set up, Tighnari is already there treating to Collei, they have some wholesome family time as Tighnari and Collei share their findings, and then Collei dozes off, Cyno and Tighnari have a TCG match and then doze off with her. - Kazuscara: Kazuha recites poetry to Scara/Wanderer/Kaze(my name for him) during the sunset and lil angsty bean gives Kazuha a kiss on the cheek~ (I love 'em soft) - Kavetham: Kaveh comes back, all happy and hyper for winning the competition, only to find his bf on a stage in a wet t-shirt contest and he cheers the loudest. And Alhaitham becomes a bit more okay with it when he sees how happy and excited Kaveh gets. And then later Alhaitham gives Kaveh a little one-on-one wet t-shirt show, if ya know what I mean~ - Xiaoven: After playing in the sun Venti goes and snoozes next to Xiao and before the sunset Xiao wakes up and just gazes lovingly down at Venti and strokes his hair, and when that wakes Venti up they just look at the sunset in comfy silence. - Chili: Childe gets destroyed in the volleyball match and he goes pout in Zhongli's arms and Zhongli tries to make him feel better with snacks and a story about the insane competition Zhongli was a part of. It works. And Kaveh gives Childe pics later.

My headcanon for the Liyue volleyball team: Shenhe and Yelan. Yelan wanted to get another nap, but the chance to play volleyball is intriguing. She rolls her dice and decides to do it. Shenhe is curious: "Hmm. How do I play this game?", and Yelan entices her to team up because can't pass up the opportunity to recruit a teammate with incredible super strength. They probably end up winning (they're the tallest and fittest team), unless Shenhe messes up because she doesn't know any better.

As someone who grew up on the Oregon coast where the beaches suck I must make a few mandatory additions 1. Itto was the one to make the mistake of walking barefoot near the ocean and got stung by a cone snail 2. Albedo's collecting bits of dead jellyfish that washed up 3. Al-Haitham spent the first hour or two standing where the beach meets pine forest debating whether or not it's worth it with the wind making mini sandstorms that pelt you and make you horribly itchy all over
