@@seahorsesebastiano2506 I don't think so. It was the first album when all members started writing songs and it had the most ambicious experimentation of anything any of them had done up until that time. I get it if you don't like it but I really think uninspiried is not the word you're looking for there.
such a hard bracket to do but im really happy you did. Under Control has been my favorite of theirs so im glad you put some respect on its name. also good follow up on Oblivius, i felt that you criminally underrated it on your FPP review
Ah come on, 80’s Comedown Machine is arguably the best song on that album. And i remembered you actually liked the song, and hated One Way Trigger when you reviewed the album. Bit surprising.
The Strokes is the best modern band. They are so underrated and every album has something good to say about them. I love these guys so much. They do not get the appreciation they deserve
I think this video talks a lot about differences between generations, I've noticed that the ones from around my age tend to value CM and Angles a little bit more for whatever reason it might be, anyway, we all know champion's gotta be from Room On Fire or Is This It
This guys sounds like he’s listened to the first 4 strokes albums once, sorta has an idea of what the songs were but is prone to mixing them up or remembering them slightly wrong and just never gave comedown machine a chance.
didn’t agree with all your decisions (i mean, we’re all different!) but i really liked this video, I love seeing people speak passionately about The Strokes, they’re such a great band and i admire your input on their music. love finding a fellow strokes fan!
How dare you sit there on your little microphone and rate strokes songs. They’re all amazing. I rarely ever skip over a stroke song and that’s just cuz it triggers a memory from my ex. Strokes forever 🖤
Him dissing Call it Fate, Call it Karma and then Modern Girls right after that was like a double sucker punch right to the heart. Those are honestly 2 of my favorite strokes songs
blade0959 Maybe he was being sarcastic, but he also stated he thought First Impressions of Earth was needlessly loud, edgy and heavy as a whole, so maybe that’s just how he remembered it?
Teddyman lol nah FIOE sounds more “alternative rock-ish” than first two album, on the other hand it does sound more heavier and very non ITI and ROF Buy Yolo being edgy one from that album, that’s kinda non sense
Carlos lmaoooooo same. I was thinking that he was such a purist for only picking between the first two albums then he went and did that to NYC cops. I'll never trust fantano opinions of the strokes ever again
You know, I love The End Has No End. But Under Cover of Darkness is arguably the BEST song from Angles. Truly dissapointing coming from the melonhead, but he's got an alright opinion I guess.
Chances was not even given a chance. You can tell he didn't even try with this list. He just picked songs from their first album. He also picked ALL THE TIME over Other Side..what a hipocrite idiot. IZLE OF THE WORLD was beaten by You're so right?
Comedown Machine is probably the Album I've listened to I love the way it flows together. I don't understand the hate it gets. Same with first impressions. All of there albums are great though.
He didn’t mention how underrated I can’t win is though. I tend to listen to those 2 songs together for whatever reason but both are hugely underrated to me
The mad man actually did it! As much as I disagree with a lot of your choices I love that this video exists. Have done this bracket with so many of my friends.
Because it's possible that an album can be generally full of garbage songs (on certain tracks he admits that "this is one of the better songs from this album but... it's still not great")
I give Anthony's general opinions on my favorite band a light 2/10. Get better taste Fantonio. EDIT: I skipped to the end and saw Under Control was in the finals. Okay, so I'll admit you're right about one thing: that song rules.
I didn’t mind his critiques at first but by the time he said You Only Live Once was too edgy I had already disliked the video, if I was subscribed I would’ve unsubscribed after he dissed on “Under Cover of Darkness”
@@lowlink534 i fucking love both songs, i couldn't believe my eyes when i saw the spotify plays for either. actually blew my mind. WHy wont YOU COME oveR HEEEERE
Pretty normie picks tbh but i lovw how hard Anthony shits on both First Impressions and Comedown Machine lmao. Under Cover of Darkness deserved better.
@@haywoodjblome4768 Nah man for me it’s a 10. For the Strokes I go 1. Comedown Machine 2. Room on Fire 3. The New Abnormal 4. Is This It 5. Angles 6. First Impressions of Earth What’s your ranking?
@@TheElcollinHow is the video edgy? Does that word have any meaning anymore? It does to me and that's not the correct adjective you're using. Well dressed handsome slick rock band standing in a white room slowly filling with brown goop. Edgy 🤨
Wow, never thought you could underrate an album as much as you just underrated First Impressions. The Strokes needed that change in their third album, because it just started to sound same/same. Impressions was a breath of fresh air and had some incredible catchy tunes on it. Some of their best stuff easily.
