I love when you do these videos. Even though we have different skin types when you say something is too dewy or glowy for you I usually go pick it up and love it. And when you like something I’ll go buy it for my days I want to be matte. So thanks girl 😉 you’re helping us all
The Ben NyE banana powder deserves to be in “you can’t sit with us” because it’s the powder that made literally every other brand create a “banana powder”. Sacha Buttercup powder was the “black girl” response powder to the Ben bye banana powder craze. It was a moment. I’m in my 30s and was around for the heyday of these two powder crazes lol. Excellent list. Great video!
Everything in the “You can’t sit with us” I own them and agree! My daughter and niece call me for everything makeup, and I’ve done both of their makeup, but they don’t use setting powder. So, I’m putting some in their Christmas Beauty boxes and I really want to give them the Charlotte Tilbury powder, but it would be the mini. I just bought the Huda Beauty setting powder in Kunafa in the last month and a half or so, and I really like it. I’m using less product now, and I does the job. When I first tried the Laura Mercier setting powder (the original) I liked it, but, sometimes I felt it was really translucent, other times, not so much. So I stopped using it. Until they released the shade Honey. I Love it in this shade. When it seemed as if every makeup influencer was using Ben Nye, I went with Sacha Buttercup. It was my first “yellow” setting powder and I liked it for that reason alone. But I left it behind when I realized I didn’t want a powder that changes the whole shade of my undereye concealer situation. I wish you would do a video on newer setting powders that could be future OGs. Like Patrick Starr’s One Size setting powder, or Tatcha
Wait Tatcha has a setting powder? I have most of the powders mentioned as well, besides the Sasha and Ben Nye. I really like the O/S, Huda, Fenton and Charlotte Tilbury.
@@Empress1014_ Yeah, they released the “Tatcha Silk Oowder Protective Setting Powder”, whew! I have not purchased it but I like Tatcha, and it has 4 and a half stars on Sephora.
Your hair looks GORGEOUS! I was expecting you to mention Maybelline's powders since you mentioned the airspun powder. I agree about that airspun getting caught in my throat and making me looking ghostly. I never understood the appeal.
Love the vid! The Huda Beauty Easy Bake & the Chanel loose powder is a dream combo! I apply the Chanel one after applying my liquid/ cream products, finish my makeup & setting spray. After a couple of minutes I follow with Easy Bake x
Hey girl! You look so pretty 😍💗. This hair though....🔥🔥🔥🔥. Now you're not gonna play with my old and faithful Sacha buttercup powder 🤣. It's gonna always remain in my stach cuz it works great in my climate (and it's accessible lol). My other favs are the rimmel loose powder and I love that Pat pressed powder. As an all over setting powder I love the sephora microsmooth. Need to try the CT and Fenty powders.
Maybelline loose finishing powder is bomb, it’s a little bit thicker because it’s a mineral powder but it gives you that flawless under eye look, and it’s affordable. Also some powders I feel that are marketed as under work better as an all over face powder or look better underneath a foundation powder!
When i started expanding my knowledge on make up a year ago after my obsession with skin care dwindled down, I bought the Laura mercier powder in honey and I’m never letting it go. I got the mini size (still have sooooooo much left) and only use it on my under eyes, middle of forehead and corners of my nose to set. You will NEVER go wrong purchasing the 2020 release versions. I have dry to normal skin also and it hasn’t dried me out.
Oooo stop playing with the Sascha Buttercup lol! I just used and layered her with my Mac MSF powder for my Jamaican wedding last month and I looked flawless all day and into the morning after with very minimal touching up (don’t judge, we had a lot of fun wedding night lol). I LOVE Laura Mercier’s original and honey shades and I use the deepest one to bronze. It creates a beautiful subtle warmth on me (I’m Mac NC46-47) 😍 I’m going to try the Huda powder shortly.
Yes! I been waiting for something like this..with so many options I never know which one to choose. And every time I choose one it leaves that white cast chalky look even translucent ones. Thanks for the review maybe I can choose better now.
I'm a med toned Sahara desert dry girl and my go to setting powders are the Charlotte tillbury powder and the chantecaille one. They are amazing under the eye. Im gonna try the dupe no. 7 one soon but the color range on that ish is not nice for us.
I would personally swap the Huda Beauty with Laura Mercier. Huda is drying when you bake with it (on me) but Laura girl has never let me down. I'm interested in trying some of the others you've mentioned.
These are always so fun!! Love all of your videos and blogs! ❤ I'm light complected 🙋🏼♀ but have super oily skin so your advice has been super helpful. Life saver!! All the best! 😘
Thank you for mentioning PM's powder. I kept thinking about it hoping you mentioned it. Another one I think is good but don't hear much about is Dermablend.
LOL! cuz I STILL use Satcha! I had it for YEARS!! and I dislike throwing products away, but I guess I'm open to trying a new one 😂 The danessa myricks powder has good reviews 👀
I'm not sure when it came out.. but a powder that I actually like A LOT for my oily/combo skin.. is the Maybelline fit Me .. my go to is definitely Laura (honey), 2nd is fenty.. but for everyday, I gravitate towards the Maybelline.. best $6.00 I've ever spent 🤷🏽♀️ whenever Sephoras next Sale, I'll definitely pick up Huda ♥️♥️
I loved this video! Good info for me. I recently ordered the CT airbrush powder, the Flower Beauty one in Mocha (supposedly a CT dupe) and the Laura Mercier medium-deep. Honey would be too bright for me MAC Msf reminded me that I'm getting Sephora Microsmooth powder next And you look beauty-full 💕
Omg - I'm so glad you told your truth about LM because that is my truth too! When the powder blew up, there weren't many on the market to compare it too... and I'm sorry, but it's not translucent... plus I cannot use that powder without a setting spray or else I feel like I have flour on my face...FB are my daily I need to throw something on with good colour match (cashew me baby)... not sure if you mentioned it, but I love the PML yellow under eye setting powder... I am obsessed with it 🥰 and things layer with it so well
LMAOOOOOOO it was TODAY I decided I wanted to try a new powder and you just put TWO of the powders that im currently using in the 'i dont know her' section!! Im actually embarrassed!!!! Im buying huda right NOW lmaooooo
Come on now hair!!! 😍😍 I agree with this chart 100%! That Huda powder though she’s a favorite in my collection. I’ve also been enjoying the pressed Urban Decay all nighter. She’s amazing!!!
I was waiting for this...as always, I match my MINISTRY with yours...by the way you are giving very much YOU CANT SIT WITH US vibes...the hair is SHPOPPIN👌❤❤❤💃
First things first, the hair😍😍😍 Chef's Kiss 😘 I love this series for the rankings. You forgot the OG - The Makeup Forever HD Powder and honorable mention Maybelline fit me loose powder. Keep up the awesome work ☺️☺️
I have slightly dry skin & I feel like fenty is so pretty on my under eyes/ midface lol super blurs my pores. I understand how it could be drying but a good moisturizer beforehand that fixes that
Love the Huda powder for the undereye, hate color I picked. So I use it to set my face. I have a love hate with the Laura Mercier, but it just gets the job done and the honey color just works. The fenty is so drying, even though I have oily skin lol.
I low how you have 2016´s all star/ flashback champions on the bottom 😂😂😂. Now I wonder if that white (casket ready) LA Girl powder could qualify as bestseller I remember a time when it was the only non MAC you could find in my area
Why did I review this video, now I got to redo my wishlist 😅. I love these videos. They be spot on, I ordered the setting spray from.the last video. Urban Decay has changed my life. Dermablend is a good setting powder, she's not a can't sit with her but she gets the job done. 💋👏💜
Studio fix broke me out like it was prison break, slid off my face like it was downhill skiing on my oily skin, ans mac condensed my shade so I don't have one there anymore 😒. Studio fix needs a whoopin 🤣🤣 In defense of my Trini sistahs, that heat is no joke, you need something to fight both the humidity and the sweat 😭😭😭😭 plus Sacha can make it through carnival mass lolol
The colour of the Sacha powder was always off under my foundation or concealer. Never liked it, but that LM Honey powder is sooo good. The shade is perfect!
@@tyishastephen yeah - Sacha was always a bit like a turmeric mask, but honestly, even if you were the colour of the powder which I was, it was off, but also, the foundations in that shade range were off too... it was pretty, but it never gave natural skin... I blame MAC for that
@@tyishastephen 😂😂😂 I have heard so much about the honey powder, I am going to try it out... I never used Sacha myself btw... I just had to big up a trini business lolll
Yo! I’m dying because I was literally using the Coty (Walmart) white setting powder everyday for work. I would only use it to set my primer. I finally threw it out a few weeks ago. Mind you, I had better (and brand new) products in my stash but didn’t want to use them up. 🤦🏾♀️ She was replaced with Laura. I need to get the honey color, too.
I have the fenty and it’s very good but I have to agree with that it takes some technique.I already have makeup experience so it’s gonna feel flawless for me but for an average beginner, maybe not.
