Fire Nation being #1 remains true mainly due to the first to make use of modern technology. And basically the first of the four nations to have invented tanks, sieges, explosives, air ships, ect. And would be expected as the first nation to event firearms. But the funny thing is Earth Kingdom could have been a stronger Fire Nation than the Fire Nation if they got their priorities straight. Sure, sparks used to ignite chemicals is something fire bending can more than do, but the highly explosive chemicals are Earth. Also lava is like a stronger fire bending than fire. Metal Bending had it been more prominent long ago could have built all those inventions and structures faster; including giant robots. Also, bending Uranium to form Nuclear Power Plants is something Earth Benders could contribute to. Fire Nation might have made better use of all that much longer ago, but Earth Kingdom could have made even more advancements. And in the end, a United Nations consisting of all four benders would easily make the best possible military that beats all four of the aforementioned separate nations put together.

The Fire Nation has the most modernized Army as their technology is too advanced.

In ma opinion i think earth kingdom is the strongest cuz in korra they have ton of people able to metal bend and they build robots and kuvira have robot tht csn shoot lasers like evn tho fire nation have tanks airplanes and more ligthing benders dur korra time i js think would high diff since got skill benders from fire like the royal family and spark boom man and benders from earth like beifong bumi and ghazan. I think they come up on top cuz they tech

In terms of strength, earth kingdom should definitely be #1, iroh laid siege on ba sing sae for a long time but couldn’t take over it, the only reason they even took over ba sing se was bc the fire nation played smart and had inside people, so they took over by smarts not by strength.

Fire nation is indeed the most powerful one. Aang was kind of unlucky to be born into the weakest nation at that time. Still, I like Air Nomads. I think they are way cooler than Firebenders.

The earth empire under Kuvira would destroy any Military era of the fire nation. That’s why they need Sozins comet. Without it, Kuviras earth empire shits on them.

Before watching this video I think during Aangs time before the comet the strength ranking would be Fire, Earth, Air, Water. During Korras time I will say Earth, Fire, Water, Air
