TTS has some amazing music on its soundtrack, but not every song can be a masterpiece. Let’s sort out the awful, the average, and the amazing with this TTS song ranking!
In my opinion, the best villain in the show is Varian. He had an amazing build up, with his father taken away from him in an event that he thinks is his fault, his friend that he trusted turning her back on him, and, being a literally child, having good intentions but bad actions. He also had a great redemption arc.
Obviously the fandom LOVES nothing left to lose , it has Jeremy Jordan and eden Espinosa, two Broadway LEGENDS, newsies and wicked, they played the biggest roles, it’s amazing
I love nothing left to lose, but honestly? Ready as I'll ever be, or let me make you proud(reprise) are better in my opinion. They just hit different, and they're SOO fun to sing
I actually heard ready as I'll ever be long before I saw the show and when I found out it was from Tangled my jaw dropped. I didn't expect a kids show to have such incredible music.
Yoooo, samee, like, I first heard this song from an animatic of another fandom, and I just LOVE this song that I have to look it up and I was surprised that it was from a show I kinda refuse to watch around 2017, but man I am SO GLAD that Ready ad I'll ever be made me watch it and fall in love with the show (Specially varian)

This soundtrack has no right to be as good as it is; with practically every song you listed, I was thinking that it was too low, until I realized that that's because I just love all the songs lol. Also loved your commentary, you made me laugh several times and described all of the songs very well so good job :)
@@chloelouise7743 yeah honestly that song is probably my second favorite. I do like Cass's and Eugene's voices but when other cast members sang in the song i didn't like it as much

"Nothing left to Lose" gives me the chills every time so I'm not surprised it's a hit. But I would certainly rank "Everything I thought I Ever Knew" and "If I Could Take This Moment Back" higher, even if it's just for the vocals. Zach's voice needs more appreciation :(((
Waiting in the wings reprise just gives me the feels because Grown Cass started singing out of nowhere just a great reprise imo. Also ironically the Decay incantation is a favorite of mine too 😅

I absolutely love all the ranks for songs. I've also watched your review of Cass's and Varian's villian arc. And i gotta say. I LOVE YOUR STYLE! There is a show i think you might like to make a review about its called "The Dragon Prince" It's from one of the creator of Avatar The Last Airbender and it gives me a bit of TTS vibes only everything is perfect. The characters feel like real people and flawed (the is a certain character who turns evil and it feels really organic). I have a feeling you'll LOVE it!

Great video! My top three in order (pretty similar to yours) are probably 1. Nothing Left To Lose (everything said in the video, it’s just amazing and also Cass’ part is pretty good mixed voice practice) 2. Waiting In The Wings (again everything that was said here, the song itself was composed really well, the lyrics are great, and cassandra’s *voice* aah) 3. Everything I Ever Thought I Knew (I actually hadn’t heard of it before watching the show and I was really surprised - again, the vocals are amazing and the thing that really stood out to me here are the lyrics, which are written beautifully (and the fact I tend to rank songs based on music not lyrics gives you an idea of how good I think they are). The musical aspects as well I really enjoy. I do admit I am a big fan of the more dramatic songs (when they arise from a character’s emotions rather than just being an intro/telling the story of a moment), BUT I do really like Buddy Song, Listen Up and Life After Happily Ever After too
I love If I Could Take That Moment Back, and it's one of my top 3 in the entire show (Waiting in the Wings and Everything I Ever Thought I knew are the other two) but that's just my opinion :)

Alright i just gotta say this is one of the most unique ranking out there.I might disagree in so places but I wholeheartealy with the first place , second is also in my top five and so happy to see more people appreaciating the Buddy song :3.Also love that "Ready ass I'll ever be " isn't that hight but still very very hight on the list i mean i love the song a lot but it got me a bit tired since like you said is the most popular one so...it was refreshing to see another top 1 and very well deserved (love that song to vibes.So in conclusion, great ranking here :3 🥰 (Oh and thanks for giving I've got this and I'll give anything high places.I love those songs too ;3)
For some reason I’ve never loved Ready As I’ll Ever Be all that much, like it’s a good song but it doesn’t get me as emotionally invested as other songs do on the soundtrack
@@0calliestar0 He I understand you point.I actually was a bit surprised that i got so much attention from the public but i bet being an intense battle song make that possible along with the great vocals...it makes sense.Like i said i do like/love the song but is not my top 1 since well "Nothing left to loose" and a couple others took the cake for me :3
9:33 the fact that one of the most simple songs in the whole show randomly got a fire instrumental ramp up was because of Eugene and his stupid pilgrim hat will never not make me laugh
Great video! Personally, I love Friendship Song and would put it near the top. I'd also rank If I Could Take That Moment Back higher and Buddy Song lower. Overall though, I enjoyed :D

Song wise, i'd say the only ones i bother listening to are "Crossing The Line" "Wind In My Hair" "Waiting In The Wings" "Next Stop, Anywhere" "Stronger Than Ever Before" "The Girl Who Has Everything" "With You By My Side" i didn't really care for anything else
One thing that always gets me watching “the girl who has everything” is how the mural excludes Cass but includes minor characters like the ginger village girls who braided her hair. I know it’s on purpose, that Rapunzel’s in denial about Cass’ betrayal, but damn it hurts to see her just get written out of the narrative like she wasn’t a crucial character throughout the first 2 seasons.
With the whole you can't tell me this voice is coming from this kid, I disagree, there are singers who are his age who can belt like no ones business. And yes, I am obsessed with this show when its been finished for 2 entire years and the fandom is slowly dying out.
I honestly don't see why everbody seems to put If I could take that moment back so low in their ranking. I knew the relation was like, HIGHLY PROBABLY not over, but he does give me a sad vibe. It's kind of make me think of thing in my own life maybe? I don't know even thought that moment was pretty cliche drama I still enjoyed it :')

It kinda pisses me off how everyone just puts varians songs at the top- like yes, Varian is amazing. And yes, so are his songs, they're the best, but I usually find people completely ignoring other songs, or other characters, simply because they like Varian more. I know someone who gets annoyed when another character that they dont like as much is on screen- like, yes, have your favorites! But give everyone else a chance too. Don't hate on every other character or song simply because the character you like isn't in it (not saying that's what you're doing, I just disagreed with most of the stuff you said in this lol, especially about Eugene's very underrated song when he was in the dark kingdom)
after I heard Eden go off for the first time, I was waiting for the show to really, REALLY let her go. but they kept giving her songs soft endings, which dissapointed me a little. but she has an awesome voice, and she did a great job
ok, look, besides the whole hookfoot/hookhand whatever, the vocals of the VAs are rlly good, i just feel like the instrumentals or the way the song is formed is the problem
Ngl I’m kinda sad you put “the girl who has everything (reprise)” so low. It’s not very long, but those few simple lines and Mandy Moore’s hopefully emotional tone just get me right in the feels.
