I'm a huge fan of All Ears, and this doesnt affect how much i love their content... but there are some videos in which it is painfully obvious that they will not go out of their way to see if their tips are actually relevant for families with small children. Tbh, this is across the board with lots of Disney influencers without small children, they just all repeat the same few talking points.
@alexandramacias6385
@alexandramacias6385 7 месяцев назад
@rachelsneed5041, have you ever heard that saying to never spit in the wind? Sage has a new baby... he'll figure it out on his own soon and hopefully we'll see a slightly different side.

@@alexandramacias6385 im sure we will. Like I mentioned, it's not just All Ears, it's at least a few popular influencers. The All Ears video that Emma and Quincy did with the baby doll was great entertainment, but not necessarily filled with amazing tips and advice for bringing a baby to Disney...

We have had our daughter wear a dress up costume (by her request) twice into an amusement park, but always carried a regular outfit to change into once she was done wearing the costume (and both times were in October so it wasn’t hot). It was win-win since it created the cutest memories and pictures, but she was never miserable wearing an uncomfortable outfit knowing that she could change out of it anytime. She was so happy wearing the cute costumes (and the costumes were not expensive and tested out ahead of time for comfort) so were a positive experiences for everyone.

Heres a tip with the Dasani water that I did with my last Disney trip. They fit in backpacks so you don't need to carry it around and I refill the bottle with the free water so I'm not buying a bunch of Dasani waters.

Okay hear me out. We grabbed the generic popcorn bucket on our last trip because our boys (2 & 4) are obsessed with popcorn and 99% of the time it’s all they wanted as a snack. They packed easier in our suitcase because I could stuff them with other things and they actually saved us money because the unrefined toddler palettes were more than happy with Disney popcorn while their parents snacked around food and wine 😂
@PixiedustJ

When we travel to Disney I fill up one smaller suitcase with snacks and stuff and when our trip is over I leave whatever snacks are left in the hallway and then we use that suitcase for any souvenirs that were bought.

Def got my toddler a bubble wand that is the only thing from Disney she still plays with and had princess dresses she wore. They weren’t the costume ones and were the target ones that are most comfortable and always had a change of clothes.

Firstly... Happy Thanksgiving to the AllEars family and their followers. Secondly... I adore Sage and as I've mentioned in chats, he's a triple threat: He can sing, act/dance, and he's so doggone funny! Thirdly... if you're on a budget, you should spend your money on whatever YOU want or whatever your kiddos want. Whenever you see rankings, remember that they're suggestive/recommendations... not requirements. Bubble wands, popcorn buckets, etc. are items that you really cannot get anywhere else (maybe online) but enjoying those items in those parks is part of the magic. (And I just realized previous comments echoed this sentiment. Oops. Hehe.)

Princess dresses are for little girls. They dont want to do "disney bound". I bought my daughter a minnie mouse dress and the Minnie on the parade pointed at her and clapped. That is a special memory for her from years ago. Bring a change of clothes. Youd need it anyway if you spilled your ice cream!

Disney Land opened in July 1955. I was born in Oct. 1955. I grew up, a Disney girl. We always watched the Wonderful World of Disney, on Sunday nights. When the show was about Disney Land, I wanted nothing more, than a Mickey balloon. Now, as a grandmother, I see that was a dumb idea!!

I recently watched a vlog from a family from an international country that came to the US. They purchased two light saber experiences at GE at Disneyland. I'm still wondering how on earth they got them home. Big investment vs. not sure if they will make them home intact. IMHO, the worst are the bubble wands. Guaranteed to tick off anyone within the vicinity and impossible to pack successfully.

Tip for the Mickey balloons, if you’re traveling via plane, a cast member will actually deflate the balloon for you to easily fold and store and I believe you can have it re-inflated at any place that offers helium filling. Double check with a cast member before tho to get all the right info 😊

My son carried around his light saber every day for our whole trip after making it. Interesting, he didn't have any issues with it on rides. Only once we couldn't ride with it and that was Space Mountain and the cast members made it appear at unload for him (helps to be a cute kid I think😂). For the most part we laid it on the floor by our feet. I held it for Tron, I can't ride that one. We are pros with loading with backpacks, so maybe just our efficiently, confidence, and quick loading with a placement plan were our win. Tucked by our feet, out of sight, and secured around ankles. I had no idea if we could or couldn't ride with it, we just assumed like backpacks stash it with you and go!

My tip for having water is get water with your meals instead of a soda. The drink is included with most full meals. Definitely helps cut down on the price.

Bubble wands are fantastic, and the bubbles don’t hurt anyone. People who get upset about walking through a few little bubbles are just looking for something to be mad about. Ironically they are often the same people who love the fake Florida bubble snow Disney drops during holiday events.

Hello allears fam!! We are from Alaska, so a LOT of traveling to WDW, but we have done savi's workshop each trip and just get them shipped home right after building! Going into the Droid workshop they ship UPS and it only cost like $20. This was the best option for us and very practical. We also have not had any issues shipping across country. Just wanted to throw that out there since I never heard that option mentioned in this video. 😊

My last trip to Disneyland I got a Lightsaber and used it as my carry-on. It was perfectly safe in the overhead bin and before I went I checked online at the airline it literally says "Lightsabers okay as a carry-on." Other people in my party got droids and some packed them in their suitcase and another used it as a carry-on. All safe.

Bubble wands and bubbles floating around aren’t the end of the world, especially when they entertain the kids! And balloons can be deflated for the planes without popping them.

While I do agree with some of your choices I will say it's all subjective. If it's your only trip, maybe that expensive droid is important to you. Get it and ship it home, no big deal. Anything can be shipped home. I have done the Disney App. thing before. If I see something in a store I want, I'll look on the app. and if it's there, I'll put it in a cart. At the end of the trip, I just get everything in my cart and have it shipped home. Sometimes, there are things in the stores that aren't on the app. though. Ponchos. Well, I usually have in my luggage 2 or 3 disposable ponchos, 2 regular rain jackets (one long, one less long) a not disposable poncho and a small umbrella. I will always have a disposable poncho folded up in a zip lock in a pocket, even if rain isn't predicted better safe then sorry and you can use them for other things. I've been known to have a non-disposable poncho on and carry an umbrella. Don't underestimate the Florida drencher, an umbrella is pretty useless in those cases. Or, if I'm wearing a backpack, a jacket isn't going to cover it and everything in it is going to get wet (don't ask how I know this) so a poncho is better. I agree a poncho isn't going to totally cover you though and it's next to impossible to keep the hood on, thus the poncho and the umbrella. I almost always have an umbrella with me as well, I have a small one that will either fit in my loungefly or has a strap and I can clip it to a belt bag or even a water bottle holder or around my wrist. They come in handy for sun shade as well.

I totally agree about bubble wands. They should be banned! Genie of any kind should be eliminated. I would rather not go on an attraction than pay extra to ride it. As someone from the UK who saves up all year to go to Disney and spends $10k plus for the pleasure, I absolutely refuse to pay extra to go on a ride.
@1997Ghost
@1997Ghost 7 месяцев назад
that's your decision. genie + was worth it to me. It was only me and my daughter though but we saved so many hours by using it and were able to get way more done. if you are already saving up so much to go, it is worth saving a bit more to spend on genie + I think. We don't go often though. Once every 5 years or so. The old system 5 years ago was much better tho before they began cashing in so much on it.
@kathymcel
@kathymcel 7 месяцев назад
Of course it was better for free, but paying extra to save a huge amount of time is worth it. You'll get more done on your trip rather than being disappointed you didn't get to do everything you wanted.
