Was in diamond last split, now stuck in gold. Honestly if my skills got rusty and I was inflated I don’t mind being in emerald, it just feels weird to share the same lobby with people who fundamentally do not understand the very basics of the game (like waves or even vision).
Same, and as a support main it's impossible to tell who the winners and losers on my team are, bronze and emerald players all in gold games. You basically need 3rd party apps to tell you who to ditch.
Same thing they did in wild rift this season 😂 , Everytime I got a promotion to Master i suddenly got queued with trolls and crybabies then after some losestreak I am paired to a normal team again... Thats why I quit this game and wild rift once and for all .
For me, its the fact that all ranks seems to be mixed. As plat, ive found myself going right into bronze 3. And here in bronze, you can see faker and literally a newborn baby in the same match. If im "bronze", let me play with "bronze" so maybe i can climb, but being forced to play with people of my lvl when im bronze, wont let me climb. Does anyone feels like this?
I haven't played league since vanguard, because I don't trust it. But before I left, I went 9/10 in placements. I got placed silver4. This on its own wouldn't bother me much, fine, I placed silver 4. In early seasons that happened then you just climbed out of it. But I was legitimately placed in full emerald games with even LP gain/loss. If every single player on both teams is plat2+ EXCEPT ME, and I am gaining and losing equal LP, then why on gods green earth am I ranked silver 4 instead of plat 2? It honestly drove me away from ranked. If you place me silver, fine, I get it. But give me full silver games so I can climb to where I'm supposed to be.
This isn’t the ranked system being broken. This is the MmR system working as intended. The same thing happens in Call of Duty ranked, as well just most multiplayer games with a ranked playlist. In every rank, you are playing against players of equal skill. It is designed to keep you playing the game for longer.

Now I’m bronze and I see quite few plats last season in bronze. Bronze Que is so clueless but some games are just Smurfs you clearly see the difference gap. Mmr is broken
I wonder why the trolling is so much worse this year. I'm not that great, typically a gold player but I've been bouncing between iron 1 and silver 1 all year. My buddy on discord who used to be diamond is having the same struggles in plat right now, just getting trolled a ton.
Bro, it’s so funny how much I go from Win streak of like five games to my only two losses being to a soft enter, who has an ego and just a grief game and an AFK. Not because skill issue, but just troll and AFK’s biggest causing my losses.

People who already enjoyed trolling are now enjoying it tenfold because playing the game normally is all-time-high unbearable, thus trolling affects people much more significantly. People who didn't previously troll are now starting to because they're so dissatisfied with the state of the game and Riot's incompetence. Riot has consistently made the game worse year after year for several years. What people are experiencing now is the culmination of community frustration and dev incompetence.

To be fair, that's how it is in every ELO I've played in from Iron to Gold. You either get the team that knows how to play, or you don't, and it feels like you have no agency in most games. If you play top, your bot will feed and you'll have a support in your lane at 12 minutes. If you play bot, your top goes 0/8 and loses T2 turret by 10 minutes. You play mid and your jungler ints your lane all game. It's insanity.

If you get demoted a whole tier (From G1 to S1) Then you cant be doing good, because it would require much more loses than wins, that means you have no positive impact on your teams.

Every game is 50/50 if you belong in your rank. If you are better than your rank, you will tip the scale in you teams favor in the long run, if you are worse you will tip it in the enemy teams favor. Its that simple. Only 4 inters on your team while there can be 5 inters on enemy team if you play good.
My theory has always been the same: Money. Imagine the fizz main. He probably has every fizz skin he likes. But now he's probably spending barely any money on the game. So how do we sell him the same skins twice? Have him make a new account. Riot massively profits from people buying smurf accounts, hence why they haven't really cracked down on it. So I think riot in some shape creates more incentive systems to buy new accounts to sell more skins. Like the broken volatile ranked ladder or the hyper sensitive automated chat detection dishing out instant bans and chat bans. Either that or gross incompetence.

I just came back from a long break. I used to be gold and now am bronze 4 (not even sure how I got placed there). I swear every game feels like a coinflip and I can't figure out why. I go from 4-7 to 25-1. I have been playing for years and this has never happened to me. It used to feel that when I went a rank up the game got much harder but now if feels like I'm up against players who could be in plat or players who should be in Iron. I don't care so much about my rank personally, but I don't like stomping off-role Iron players and then getting stomped by mid-elo players, it just doesn't have much sense.
I just came back from a break too. Took probably 10-20 games to get back to the same rank the account has last time. I played in all elos, and if you can't carry in low elo (Bronze, silver, gold) Then you can't be very good, because if you just know a little about how the game works and know how to play a champion decent, you can 1v9 almost every game in that elo, simply by not being bad.
@@Rewleague Link account? Is he tryharding? Also with a 65% winrate he is winning the majority of his games, so he will be climbing fast. If you ended last season plat 4, you will start the new climb usually around gold 4, considered you have normal mmr.
Ngl, I have a smurf in Bronze and almost every game on that account some weird shit happens. On either team team someone is throwing a fit that is costing their team the game, someones playing with their monitor turned off, (Usually the jg) no one understands that there is more to the game besides araming after 15 minutes, and the occasional, "Battle of the Smurfs." (The battle of the smurfs is the most hilarious thing. Just seeing a 20 kill irelia ego and int it on repeat is comedy gold.) I'm slowly climbing out of it but I do sometimes get a string of games where I have no idea what to do because all the wrong things are happening. Kinda does feel like a coinflip when it shouldn't
I got this recently, where it's impossible to win, despite seeing the enemy teams mistakes. Teemo goes 0/3 and then tells the team he's gonna troll. Mid yasuo doing actually well and then going afk for whatever reason. Support playing kennen and then fighting every chance they get, despite being outnumbered, to the point where my first death is from a 4/0 adc and a 4/0 support. Jungle waiting for me to back before ganking, only to die under their tower, or give my support kills, or just my support purposely taking kills to where I'm 0/0/9 by the end of laning phase, and the top Darius and mid aurelion sol are both 9/0.
@@irelia_master4487 They did remove smurf queue. The irelia I was talking about was a fresh lvl 30 account doing mechanical god plays. Probably a gold player tho since while they had mechanics, they had no decision making skill at all.

@@ImNot im an emrald player well em4 peaker for 2 split was trying to reach dia this season i started a year ago now, and i won 2 placement puting me in plat 4 30lp climbed to plat 2 pretty easily with like 58% wr then rn im falling and im on gold 2 20 lp 27w 37 lose almost every game i feel that i have no impact even if playing in gold lobby rn i either get stomped or its even game.
a problem in high elo recently is that riot resets everyone's mmr master+ to be diamond 1 or so. so you will have grandmaster players stomping diamond players, then whoever just plays more games in early split gets inflated to grandmaster+
@@jaylenpatterson611 Regarding the top end in the first week(s) of a split it is a race. A lot of players can get a higher rank that they cant maintain if they grind enough games early on to profit of the ranked chaos. Happens to streamers pretty often and they get downplayed if their ranked successes are early into the split.
Fresh accounts are placed to high gold by default and my plat account of 10 years gets placed in high bronze / low silver every season. Makes me ask myself why do I even bother to play on my main account? Last split I peaked plat 1, then I couldn't win a single game at all and during my climb I still felt like the quality of players didn't change one bit.
I have literally had accounts with a 56%+ winrate get hardstuck in high Silver because I gain like 18LP per win and lose 23 per loss, with a positive winrate. I played against someone in a normal game earlier this season who had only played their promos. They went 1-4 in their promos and were placed in Plat 3. How does this even happen? How does Riot let this happen? You essentially get punished for not just making a new account every season.
@@PlunkSama My friend has the same problem. His account's LP gains sink like a rock after a few losses in a row even when his split is sitting at like 55-60% winrate after a few dozen games. Must be really demotivating being gatekept like that from climbing even though he's been doing good on average so far. Riot said they tried to rebalance the LP gains into more positive direction faster after it dips, but I don't know if that has happened or not.
My old hardstuck account got the most insane mmr after I started playing on it again. Way better than any fresh account could get from going 10-0 in promos. You just need winstreaks and a positive winrate. It might take 10, 50, 100 or 200 games, but if you have a positive winrate and winstreaks your mmr will get fixed.. Losing streaks are very bad for your mmr aswell.
Here's my most recent tale. It happened to me last week. Was on a game, as a Pantheon OTP top. Me and Skarner jungle were hard carrying the game. It was a nigh impossible game, but we were still making it a little bit close. Then my adc just decides to stay at fountain, sell all items and buy 6 daggers. I proceed to call him out on chat, explicitly saying that he is at FOUNTAIN for 5 minutes, sold all items and bought 6 daggers and was the reason we were losing. Well, we ended up losing the game, and afterwards, in the end game lobby, I received a message from Riot with the log screenshot, stating that my behavior was unfitting their game and was reported and so, I got a restriction and wasn't allowed to play ranked games for the bext 5 games. Mind you that in the LOG was the entire portion of the chat where I described with every word what the guy did. I literally was trying my hardest to win the game, had a troll on my game who FORCED me to lose, then said Troll proceeds to report me, and I was the one who got restricted. That's how bad Riot is at managing their game.
same happened to me in aram.. won a game against a veigar 16 6 or something like that.. told him.. "get the fuck down". just that. nothing more.. got suspended for 5 games.. since then i just try to ping and dont use chat.. 2 or 3 people report you and you going to get ban 100% for ANYTHING you say.. you could say greeting people and get ban too.. doesnt make any sense and if you try to get help from support or they ignore you or say you were banned correctly..
i started playing around when the emerald was introduced i am currently sitting at 65% winrate in platinum but all the games it feels like every game is onesided and only games that don't feel onesided player wise is just either lost draft wise or are super rare considered to onesided games player wise
I thought I was just that bad LOL. I was peaked emerald last split, my first placement games were iron and I’m in silver 1 rn. I also noticed that silver 1 is now above average in terms of percentile… what is happening?! What bothers me the most is that my lobbies are filled with 50% real silvers and 50% emerald/plat peakers, so matchmakings feel like shit and for some reason everyone has negative winrates. I went from a viego jg main to an alistar supp main… let me say: Support alistar is so peaceful, I’ve been missing out😂😂😂 maybe the broken ladder is a good thing
Rank is meaningless MMR matters. The more winrate you have, the better players you play with. The worse winrate, worse player. But it's not a perfect system, losersq exist and people can't deny it, winners q(smurfq) also exists and it's undeniable.

I haven't seen anyone over 44% win rate in a week, and now I'm back down from where I climbed out of. Been playing sense season 1 me and my friends quit this year. Half our games are smurfs or kids on new account running it down none of us want to play anymore it’s not fun or competitive anymore
i was a diamond player and stopped playing league for 6 months when i came back i just couldnt get back to diamond. im someone who saves old replays and watches them and to be honest i play even better than i used to i don't even know why my games in emerald are so hard for no reason. i got to JUNGLE TRACK + SUPPORT TRACK as a midlaner every single game. i didnt even do that one year ago im legit in emerald and im looking at the botlane/tops waves and try to guess where the support and where is a dive and jungle tracking at all times guessing the enemy midlaner roams and is and always pinging it no support in my team pings the support roaming not even the jungle pings his jungler i have to sit here and guess all by myself because i have lost games because of these and also everytime i recall or im low on hp my team WILL DO EVRERYTHING to make a play and die for obious reasons i have to be everywhere and anytime which is just not possible for a midlaner, if i roam botlane enemy mid takes tower and so on, i have to sacrifice something to gain another to be honest i don't think i faced anyone in emerald that plays the map the way i do and just be stuck here for no reason

True. I climbed to Diamond 1 in 50 games 76% win rate from a brand new botted account. My main is stuck 50 games with 38% win rate in Emerald 3. Ranked is truly fucked
I knew that it wasn’t only me experiencing the worst teams like I’m in an iron lobby. I’ve steadily climbed op over the years, and this season has been super rough. From like 7 loss streaks where I swear my teammates are bots to win streaks where it’s some of the easiest games ever. I went from a climb up to emerald 2 down to plat 2 back up to emerald 3 this season. It’s the most coin flip I’ve ever seen.
We know why this happened though, Riot said as much. Last split, new accounts basically started in plat/emerald mmr, so it was easy to climb new accounts even with slightly negative win rate. Riot changed it so the new account mmr is silver. They also went back and adjusted new accounts from before the change, so people who were abusing new accounts before have a more accurate mmr. It’s likely that most of these players were never really plat/emerald level to begin with.
No, I was emerald last season and now I’m silver 3. Admittedly I did change roles but the fact I’m losing against bronze junglers is actually insane to me. My skill at this game is not at a silver level and I’ve only continued to improve at this game but at the end of the day I don’t mind being in my rank that much because I feel like I’m going against evenly matched opponents.
It's crazy how me in S1 keeps getting high gold and low plat players and how am I supposed to play vs them when I am not at their skill level ... i first have to lose 2 in a row to get low golds or S1 players...
@@Rewleague he means botted accounts that spam bot games to hit level 30 and get sold as an unranked account. They weren't really anyone's problem, but Riot giving freshly level 30 accounts platinum mmr was a huge issue. Finally makes sense to start people's mmr low so they have to actually demonstrate skill to climb instead of just starting high and overinflating egos

@@literallynomadic78 They were a problem, I can't count the amount of games I had a guy with botted, fresh level 30 acc griefing and flaming due to inflated ego (and elo). Botted accounts should be banned and Riot maybe should seek legal action against sites that sell them. Even if you push these accounts lower on the ladder the problem still exists, just some bronze guy is gonna have to deal with toxic cunts, smurfs and griefers.
Thank GOD I am not playing anymore. When I see graphs of Elo like this and people still saying that matchmaking system is not made in a way to make you addicted... I think its pretty obvious.
that happened becouse they added emerald and increased lp gains so players could catch up easier to their rank but later they decreased it so people now get to their real ranks
If someone made it to emerald and is now bronze, they were either a new account that got lucky, or they are actually bronze and were being boosted via doing with friends.
the reason for this should be hidden deep within rioter's tweets. last season they said that a lot of players had lucky winstreaks/unlucky lose streaks that put them where they don't belong, because it messed up their mmr and lp gains due to some glitches in the system. they then tried to repair it and implemented something else than losers/winners queue - the game now (supposedly) determines your skill by monitoring many factors and tries to put you in the rank you "deserve" at 50% wr. i think that it's somewhat true because when I played on a low rated account and actually tried my best I had almost 90% wr and lp gains moved from +18 to + 28 (sorry for ruined games). what I'm getting at is that rank is ultimately superficial and as it's a hard pill to swallow, people belong in certain ranks and not everyone can be eme and above (as rank stats clearly display)
current low master, have multiple smurfs to play with friends and wife, when i play in gold elo it s either i go 18+ kills or 11/11/2 while the rest of my team all have negative kda, i legit question how they can hope to win a game if i m not there to keep them afloat...
Here’s the thing with League. No matter how hard you try, how well you play, how little mistakes you make; it has nothing to do with your individual performance if the enemy bot lane or jungle is 20/0. If the enemy team has better items than you, it’s over. Personally I feel like league should be more about personal impact than it being a necessity for a team to win. I get it, it’s a team game, but in solo Q you won’t always get a team to win. It sucks when you’re playing so good against your laner but then go 1v1 the enemy laner who has 4 items and you die instantly because he happened to just have more gold than you.
Yeah it kind of felt like that in S11 S12 where damage was high and the new op mythics released and I personally like that type of game more because there were a lot of more outplays where as now I can just rely on my champion not myself.
It sounds like there’s been a few games you’ve played recently where you didn’t have the agency you wanted because a teammate inted hard. Across 1000 games most of your team won’t int and therefore its on you to carry, the 30% autowin, 30% autoloss and 40% you can carry ratio is a pretty good one. Make sure to focus on what you can do to carry the game, sometimes if the enemy laner is so fed you should avoid them at all costs to increase your income, and hopefully the gold you’ve earned becomes 4-5 items and you carry harder than them. Once you figure out this formula, league becomes way easier and more relaxing (I know it sounds insane) to play.
@@forsencd8904 yes but the issue comes from. the 3 splits. The avg player maybe plays around 200-300 games a season. But now thats cut in a 1/3 with the 3 splits. So now. the avg person. if they just unfortunatly manage to get the first 30% of the auto losses in there first 30 games. They just start trollling or quit. thats what this video is focusing on. How these splits are impacting games/ranks. Noones going to tilt as hard as they will if they know they have alsmot a fulkl year to play before the season ends. but now its like 100 days. and they just spent the first 30 days lossing. they going to quit while they still gold 4, or plat 4 etc
Been saying this since I started playing in 2016. It boggles my mind how we get individual performance grades and yet it has no bearing on how our lp is impacted. It makes absolutely ZERO sense to lose lp at all for getting an S- or higher.
I am a Shyvana main and peaked in em 4 in the second split of 2023. In exactly that split i climbed from bronze 2 to em in the span of 4 months. After that i got stuck in plat 4 in the first split of 2024 and got placed into gold 3 this split. Right now i got out of a 14 game win-streak and ended in emerald 4. Currently still holding strong. Before my win-streak i had a 10 game loss streak so it´s really f*cked up this split.
This is very relatable for me I peaked Emerald two splits ago and now I'm sitting in Gold, initially I thought it's because I went to uni and I am playing on a shitty laptop, but even with that, while trying to get used to playing on a very shitty setup I still managed to get Plat II last split, and now 3 weeks after the new split I have a 38% wr or smth in Gold, even though I've just been playing Aphelios consistently for the last year or so Kept blaming it on myself, but this video kinda opened my eyes regarding why this is happening, I keep getting bad teammates but I had the impression that it's just because they are Gold and I'm simply playing so badly I can't win consistently, but now I think I just should take a break until things calm down and I can play on my PC again, thanks for the info!
My highest account is emerald, my oldest account is now struggling in silver. It was plat last season. The issues im having is multiple games in a row where i have multiple lanes turbo feeding and then the whole other team is fed, and with how much damage is now in the game its unwinnable. Then on top, the turbo feeders are super toxic and also wont ff so now ypu are stuck in a game with toxic feeders and its sucks the life out of you. So hard to maintain any sort of mental.

I can also carry 1 or 2 losing lanes. When im 5/0 and every one else on the team is 0/5 it starts getting dicey, especially with how much damage there is in the game now.

It's because they removed promos and people got elo inflated in 2023 where they "peaked". If you played placements on a fresh account you would get placed in Platinum and be emerald after 10 games played because you'd get +30 and -12 LP. People who were hardstuck in silver/gold/plat were also getting +30 -12 LP gains WITHOUT even having to play promos. This season Riot is trying to make the LP gains/losses more fair and an MMR based system, which is why people are falling back to where they were in 2022 rather than staying in Emerald. If you aren't performing you won't get +30 anymore and instead you will get +22 - 18 which is way more fair and reasonable.
thing about the game right now is that in lower elos the better team comp just wins, the game is in such a state where your team could go 20/10 and the enemy team would easily make a comeback out of nowhere just because their champs just scale better There were games where we were 25/9 and out of nowhere the enemy team wins a teamfight at drake, like how does that even happen, well it's because of the kog'maw that fed all early game and couldn't lane, but managed to get one single 1k gold shutdown and now is able to, for some reason, one shot all our team in seconds Yes you could say skill issue and to some degree, yes, it is, but the game just doesn't feel good to play, I had phases where I was really stubborn with league, I would lose 20 games in a row but I would get out of that game and say "yeah, I could've done a lot of things better", now I get out of games and say "damn I didn't play that optimally sure, but what could I do in that situation, nothing" because now it really feels like that, like you just can't do anything past a certain point. Focus the fed kog'maw, you'll die to the other 4 teammates defending him even if you manage to defeat him, your team will be low enough where the enemy team can finish you off and after that the enemy team will also be caught up and it will snowball for that, literally one bad play, one over zelous missplay costs you the game and that just doesn't feel good, it feels you were robbed, you were playing better than the enemy team 75% of the game and just because you made one singular bad play now they're as strong, if not stronger than you Playing league feels bad at the moment, I only play it with friends and if I try to play it alone in just 2 games I remember why I don't play it alone anymore, it just doesn't feel fun
Only play games you enjoy brother. The point of gaming is to have fun, so if you're not having fun then stop playing. That being said, things in low elo are completely random because people have no idea how to play the game. If you stomp all early game, you should aim to end, especially so if the enemy team scales better.
CAP... my guy, the better player, will when more on average. I can play Garen from iron4 to D4 and not get held up until I'm in Emerald. If you're better, you climb. If you're not better, you don't. Simple as that.

Then you will understand, your skill doesnt matter in this game and its all up to your champion, how it scales and what it can do. Like the orginal commenter said, its all about team comp. Bad comp and you WILL lose. No matter its faker playing, you, or me. This is league of legends, not a csgo where player skill and aim actually matter. No. Cuz I'm 34 with no hands. But I do understand cs, wave management, back timings, and most importantly. I very rarely let my team bait me. I ignore plays that I 2nd guess. I hyper focus on what is right. Random 2v2 at rift? Naaa. I'm sitting in 12 gold and need to reset. I'll let my juggler die in the 1v2 if it means I get my reset. Now the other top laner has not reset and I abuse that. Getting myself ahead for sure. End of the day. Don't blame your rank on how hard your champ is. It's not all the champ. It's your lack of fundamentals. Work ok it. Plus my Garen is good. My match up knowledge, combos, runes and limits . You can't get that in 10 games. That's over 1000ths of games.
currently emerald 4 with 53% wr, i've been emerald for the last 2 splits all with positive wr so no way my mmr is gigalow and now i'm getting +18 -25 for NO reason, last split i was +26 -19 average, and don't let me get started on the players i have in my games, not just on my team, i've had enemy players just straight up leave after my teammates killed them, teammates that run it if ANYTHING goes bad, like a failed gank or them missing a cannon. It isn't just not fun to play soloq anymore, it's straight up infuriating and it's really weird since i haven't had these issues in past seasons, no one gets banned anymore, even LionL9 or the bateman guy that int games constantly are getting banned less and less.
on the other hand i also notice that matchmaking seems to be completely broken lately, even tho i have a 90% winrate, i had zero lanes win the entire time, literally zero. in over 40 games. opgg looks like this: me mvp, 10 cs per minute average, 7:1 kda, 16 kills average. teammates: 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, literally 40 times in a row, how is that even possible, matchmaking has to be broken. if i was a regular noob and not smurfing i would literally have 0% winrate, nobody would win with 3 losing lanes every game, playing in their elo. also i made a comeback from a huge gold lead from the enemy team every game, the enemy team always has "led but lost", 40 games in a row. normally pulling off a win from a losing position is already a miracle, but in season 14 thats what you have to do if you wanna win at all.
I definitely think it’s recoverable but it’s so painful. Last season I ended E2 and I struggled low plat for 70ish games and now that I’m finally E2 again I’m only getting +18/-20 at a positive WR
A couple of things you made me realise: - I have a friend that one year ago was master. He played yes but not this much. 4 splits he lost 4 ranks. We've done placements and i was plat 4 0 LP. HE GOT PLACED BRONZE this split. - Last year I skyrocketed. I've been silver for like 3 years. Then got gold last year. Then they added emerald, and i succeded in not only reach gold, but even plat. - Last split I did a 30 game winning streak. Finished at emerald 4. - But this after doing a 15 game losing streak starting from plat 4. Thank god demotion shields still exist. - THIS SPLIT IS THE SAME. I placed plat 4, won a couple of games, then LOST 20. WITH THE CHAMP I REACHED EMERALD (Kayle) and had 65 WR I ended this week at gold 1 20 LP and 22% WIN RATE. Lucky that this master friend that was now bronze had an account at silver level he let me break the losing streak and now i'm back to plat, but as a lone gamer i'm starting to fluctuate again. Dunno what happens. - I fear that if i'm not able to place emeald this split i'll end up in gold 4 next one if things now work like this. - My games are like: I love lategame champs. But i always end up like: top or bot feeds, or flames on 2 deaths, or just braindeads go wild if u don't do what they want. Even while drafting i'm seeing a flame i've never seen. Really. People that pick yuumi jgl as a retailation since u didn't let them last pick. Insane. My promo game to plat was one where my team went 35 deaths in like 25 minutes, but luckily i was kayle and was the only one to stomp the adversary. I succeded in reversing 10k GOLD disadvantage into 9k GOLD LEAD. A GAME WORTH OF WORDS MATCHES AT GOLD ELO.
I have the same issues. I got Diamond last split with almost 70% wr with kayle but this season I have like 45% wr in E4 with kayle despite high kd's and 9+cs a min... now im role swapped to jungle because it's so unplayable

It’s really annoying, even if you explain it you’re just the scapegoat to them, it’s never their fault for invading with no prio or forcing bad plays :/
this entire season the rank has felt off. I spent all of split s13 learning the game, and slowly making my way to silver 3. S14 drops and i immediately dropped to B4. it took me the entire season to climb back to S4. split 2 is here and i'm b3 again already. and was placed B2 at the start. I don't even feel like playing if the game is literally stopping me from climbing. mega positive KDA but soloq is so cancer with players that genuinely don't deserve their rank, makes it impossible to win consistently. There needs to be loss mitigated for when teammates do exceptionally bad/basically int. I have had so many games with 0/15 bot lanes that are unwinnable games, and nothing happens, both to them or me. except we both lose LP because they couldn't stop dying. Leagues rank ladder is broken, hidden MMR makes no sense. Lack of discipline for players that int or smurf. There's so many things they could add to improve the ranked ladder, but they refuse and would rather us sit there with people who genuinely don't want to win, or straight smurfs. People just get away with anything and its disgusting.
Yeah, last split, i got emerald 1, and thsi split im stuck between plat 1 and emerald 4. The game feels super restrictive atm. It feels like if you dont play the op meta stuff, you lose. This is even more than usual since 14.10. Honestly idk but adcs are super oppressive atm
I reached Emerald 2 with no issues last split then got chosen by Riot to curse me with unplayable games i had a game i went 20 kills with 2 deaths and all they needed was a fed adc and well my teammates did less then canon minions dropped to Emerald 4
Same here, I was cruising last split through emerald reach emerald 1 about to hit diamond then for the next 5 games after my teammates all of a sudden felt like they weren’t even players no offense to them. And I just kept losing and eventually hit emerald 4 and said fuck rank 💀
@@Brandon-rt9ei that happened to me like three times before. back when plat was what we now called emerald and there were still placement matches. i was in my diamond promos. 2-2. lost the last one. from there, demoted down to p4 (what is now e4). said fuck ranked. came back again the next year after a long break. got to e1 98 lp. needed 1 win. at this point i was like 30 w 3 l. went on a massive loss streak. back down to e4. said fuck ranked. now this year, last split. almost the same thing happened. went up to e1 78 lp. demoted down to e4, but climbed back to e3. this split so far. peaked to e1 80 lp, down to e3. back up to e2 60 lp. back down to e3, back up to e2 87 lp. however, since i know more about the game. there were a few loss streaks i could've avoided. in my head i was saying i should dodge those games because i knew the enemy team would just destroy us (they had better comps). but i was like," surely my team doesn't int." well guess what, when you have someone pick ornn into a vayne, they're going to lose 9 times out of 10 and just int. and for whatever reason certain junglers, teammates just can't figure out how to not die to it. e.g. diana, shaco, nunu, or whatever. for me, i have like a 0% wr vs diana after probably 5 or 6 games with her on the enemy team. idk why whenever there is a diana, my teammates forget how to play. but had i actually didn't ego and just dodge games i knew were lost just based on comp or i knew had a high likelihood teammates would int just from experience, i could've avoided some major loss streaks. especially when those loss streaks started, you just gotta not play. i kept tilt queueing, which contributed to more losses than i should've got because i wasn't playing optimally and just making tilted decisions.
I've been easily getting Diamond since season 4 and was happy with that rank, so I stayed there for 10 years! Last split, I decided to push and got Masters! This split, I'm struggling to stay in Diamond. I've basically been sitting at D4 0LP this entire season with a 30% win rate after 50 games. Thanks for providing your examples. I got a theory based on all of that. Riot said they were going to test different ranked systems. The results could be affected if you tell the playerbase, so it looks like they tested one for a split without saying anything. You showed people heavy spiking up, which is peculiar as well. It's a new split, so they probably are running a new system or just correcting the inflation from the 'easier' system.
No they introduced Emerald and changed the distribution of players in each division last year. Along with promotion series changes and LP gain changes there was a lot of elo inflation that Riot has been making LP adjustment and matchmaking changes to combat. This is the elo. The introduction of Emerald cause a mix and push up of players that do not belong in a higher rank. Now that the inflation has been curbed and is being corrected these players are complaining because they are not skilled enough to hit the inflated ranks. Masters inflation has also been occurring for years. Take a look at the year over year growth of Masters tier for the past 5 years. GM is the Masters of 2 years ago.
@@stephenjamborino7493 You're totally right. I completely blanked on the inclusion of Emerald and it's affect on people's OP.GGs. I was back in Diamond before finishing placements so it didn't affect me and, therefore, skipped my mind.
I think a lot of this is issues from the previous split where people were placed much higher then they were supposed to be. Now we see the system recognizing that and trying to get them back to where they should be now.
Its a tough one because i think thats half the problem but plat 1 to bronze 3 is craaaaazy not even inflation is doing that. The problem they have now is 90% of players are going to hit as a higher rank as before and it makes them feel like they’ve gotten worse
so you are telling me that the average silver 4 has any clue about wave magement and level up timers? i was boosting my gf the other day and almost everyone a silver II-IV lobby had around 9 cs per minute. this is not normally
It's an anecdote, but whatever here it is. . I was plat last season. I do my placements this season and win 90% of the games in placements. I get placed into bronze 1. I play about 20 games and I barely break into silver. I had a little bit of the standard bronze shit. Mostly just people giving up and leaving the game, which I know happens at all ranks. Though in my initial climb years back, I specifically remember lower ranks leaving games/giving up much more often. But what threw me off was that I was also playing with players who were clearly not bronze/silver. Picture perfect flashes, pulling off crazy high level combos, auto cancelling, orb walking, solid macro etc etc. And many of them were gold/plat/emerald last season. . I thought I was crazy and was afraid to say anything about it. But it appears I am not alone in this. I'm not claiming to be some crazy high level player. But I'm definitely not a bronze/silver player. . So it seems like two main problems: 1. I don't wanna have to fight my way through gold/plat/emerald players just to break out of bronze. 2. Games are turbo unbalanced because they are some random mixture of previous plat+ players and genuine bronze players.
The reset set most accounts nearer to their MMR, rather than their visible rank as far as I know. A lot of accounts between Gold and Emerald were highly inflated over the past years. While that does knock down quite a few players who didn't deserve their rank, there are an equal amount who have climbed back to their original ranks already, without a problem. For example, my main account has already reached the rank I had last split and last season. However, my level 40something smurf account (which I enjoyed levelling myself) got knocked down 800 LP in placements due to the inflated MMR of new accounts the past years. My main account was made in Season 5, so, it has a reliable history. Accounts made since 2020/2021 are very inflated. So, one of those people may have gotten away with being the heaviest person in a platinum game. But it's a lot harder to get away with it in silver. You may be the hyper-fed assassin player, but if you don't know how to close out games... what good will it do you?
This is wrong, I have 3 accounts 2 I have in diamond 1 d 2 1 d4 my main I can’t get out of plat this season. Literally have had 17 lost streak of 2 or more people running it down
@@arctic1054diamond is inflated elo the last couple seasons and it shows if u can’t get out of plat. Ur not being inted or ran down any more than the enemy team gets their own inters.
@@DispelLoL that’s just wrong, I literally have 2 diamond accounts this season one in high diamond, I’ve also literally tested it duoing with a masters buddy of mine. So we had 2 people doing good every match on my main. I’ve had more afks/hard inters on that account than not. While my alts don’t. I have a 78% wr to climb one of them with a 4.2 kda.
Emerald 1 last season and plat 3 rn so I haven’t been hit as hard as some of these accounts but I definitely thought it was just me until watching the video. Good stuff man
losers que feels so much more aggressive this season, previous seasons losers que games actually had a chance to be redeemed, but now they're COMPLETE stomps
Aside from the rank, I noticed a stark difference in my games now vs all the years before. In the past, even when losing, I had satisfying games where I felt like enemy is at the same level, and my teammates are of similar skill to me. It seemed more or less fair. Now the games are either me winning so easily against some noobey enemy, or losing hard against much more skilled people while also having a weak team. I noticed, even with me not being an expert or a pro, that my teammates lack basic understandings of the game. I feel like matchmaking loads my pockets with stones to drown me. I stopped playing a month ago, the game became really draining and I don't enjoy it anymore.

I swear there are two different ladders hidden beneath the ranks. I have one account I supp my GF with and it is playing legit bronze to silver games and you feel it. Then I am on one of my main accounts that dropped from plat2 to bronze 2 and I am getting 3 man dove with a stacked wave minute 4 while they juggle 5 tower shots perfectly. And i'm like yeah, this feels like bronze to me. Not to mention the guaranteed lvl 30 account every 2 games that crushes its opponent 11/0 by minute 12.
6 months ago I was Master. I just came back recently after the break and after 90 games I'm still Emerald. Now, this is definitely affected a lot by the fact that I have no ranked goal and I have a chill outlook in the game, but still, I'd never expect to not make it to at least Diamond after 90 games, even if I'm just chilling.
I was silver pushing gold the last time I played ranked. Granted I don't normally play ranked. Usually just fuck around in ARAM with friends. But I know how the game works and I've been playing for years. This season, I qued up for placements, won 4 our of 5 games and it placed me in Bronze IV.... a bit of an ego blow, but whatever. I figured I'd climb fast... The next 9 games were losses, FILLED with smurfs (or apparently people who were supposed to be ranked way higher by the sounds of this video). I'm now in Iron III.... still getting smurfs left and right and losing 30 lp a match and only gaining about 20-22 for a win. It's enough to drive me fucking insane. I'd like to add that I even was so frustrated and perplexed by this I submitted a ticket and they basically told me I'm where I should be and proceeded to explain how MMR and LP gains worked...
Sooo i have noticed this very much right now. They started lowering ranks and the more skill you have the harder it is to climb. Now i have also noticed I started playing heavily for macro and have had success in climbing back in my ranked games. I got a different approach which is, why fight when you can win the game. Which i started focusing more on wave management, skermishes management and even started to ping objectives and choices for teammates. Its been overall better for me and my games.
I play top: botlane feeds 9/10 times. I play sup: toplane feeds 9/10 times. It feels like a script at this point. Picked up my kayn again because it’s somewhat strong again, and I seem to be able to carry easier but damn, I don’t know how it’s that consistent
I had a new account, leveled it to 30 and with a 5 win steak it placed me in Bronze 1, you dont get placed any higher than that no matter how well you performed, but what you do get is a high MMR so every game you win rewards you with 31-33 points and every game you lose decrements 12-14 points, so thats a HUGE thing.
Because u did not deserve that rank, for some reason this split riot decided to put players in gold and plat as if it was the new silver. Now everyone cries as the ranks get stabilized and the boosted silvers get put where they belong. Sorry to break it to you.
Your pretty silly. That is 30 games without skipping divisions. And that is at 25 LP a win. If you just finished placements you would be getting like 40-50. So you play like 10 more games and your back in plat. I mean... unless your can't duo it by yourself. Unless your duo doesn't want to carry you again🤣

Wow no way. I peaked Master 250LP last split and this split I have been fighting for dear life to stay in Diamond III. At first I thought that I somehow became washed up overnight but then it kept going and I started thinking that I am cursed or something since when I honestly looked at my games, I kept performing well. I literally felt like a paranoid schizophrenic who thinks the system is out to get them XD. This video makes me feel so vindicated.
Bro I feel the same way. I reached Master around 180 lps in both splits last season 13. This split im stuck in Diamond 4 games with positive winrate but still +17/18 -22/23. Im already struggling to keep my mental and i took the decision of quitting the game. Feel like shit having to play perma shit quality games for no reason where its imposible to have any consistent fun and not get tilted after max 3 games. Tbh i feel like i have to play like Nemesis or other pro Challenger player to just get back low master tier, game is broken and every day it makes less sense to play it. And lets not talk about the 3 split thing, in the current season 14, its the hardest ever to climb and you have the lowest time ever to do so. Completely garbage season, Riot clearly only cares about proplay or releasing new 500€ shit skins.
Essentially, what is happening is that all of the bad and boosted players are dropping in ranks due to the ranked + matchmaking changes made in the last 2 years; however, because someone always has to lose the people that shouldn't be losing are getting caught in the crossfire. Which is what is leading to a lot of people losing far more than they used to. The solution to this is to simply stop playing during your region's prime time, and to stop playing so many games per day. Less games = higher chance to win + avoiding prime time = less shitty teammates.
Do you really think adc needs a health buff? They are already at more then 650 base health when midlaners and supports are at 580-600. Even toplaners arent that high.
Soft trolling is the biggest problem. I didnt even know before it happened to me, but you can play a whole 25 min game with 0 dmg and 0 kp, and not get banned or punished. Our teams smurf jungler locked in his main, said "gg open mid" immediately, and proceeded to only farm jungle camps and not interacting. Occasionally standing afk and typing. The next game he plays normally. I myself went from emerald 2, and dipping my toe in gold 1, and now after spamming games the last 2 weeks im back to emey 4. I`ve tried to have my master friends look at me playing to try and improve, but most games are just "gg bad luck"

I checked my match history out of curiosity and OPGG itself pretty much says "you did well but your team did not" most of the time which means "team diff" That means loser's queue is real. Knowing that the matchmaking system is rigged and puts me in teams full of trolling monkeys while the enemy teams have actual decent players more often than not made me lose any interest in trying to climb past emerald. Especially now since even bronzies get the victorious skin.
I can feel this, peaked plat 3(ended plat 4) last split but my first placement(I did lose) put me in silver 2 and ended silver one. I’ve been duoing with friends because that’s the only way I know how I can close out the match if there is someone I trust to help me. Currently hovering gold 3/2 on other champs but my main champ I have a 38% win rate on and I don’t know what changed
i have been plat-dia since season 5 and played normals since season1 and last split diamond with 60% winrate over 200 games. now i went 0/5 in placements because of trolls and got placed plat and im stuck with a 38% winrate in emerald 3-4 over 50 games and i no longer play ranked. i play mostly aram or draft normals now and at a 75-80% winrate now in normal draft pick, i think this split system is very bad and will probably make me quit since i dont have time anymore to play atleast not that much that i would have to get to diamond 3 times a year.
I'am an emerald player and am close to quit league. At one side grinding league 3 splits a year is burning me out, at the other side the placement matches are hella trash which makes the burn out even worse. Just won my first 10 ranked games in a row and got ranked B2. I really can't bring up the motivation to grind anymore. I was high plat low diamond before emerald was introduced. EACH SPLIT SINCE THEN. and got ranked in B2 after a 10 game winrow. How is this possible?. I've had an ARAM loosestreak before and have become superstitious that even recent aram games are counted towards your placement MMR. I can't explain it any other way. btw in my last placement matches I've had to play with a wide range of ranks. From high gold to low emerald. People saying that it was better in the past and indeed it was. At least were the displayed ranks of your mates/enmies much closer together. But now its the wild wild west.
I saved my mental by writing ranked diary. I over estimated the amount of trolling in my games. Replays revealed how hard my team was actually playing and how many times I miscalculated. I also thought I got stomped more than I got carried but it was actually 50/50. I also noticed that my rank dropped every time I played while tried or hungry. It is hard work to perform at your peak. I didn't start to climb faster after starting my journal. But it saved my mental.
I was a d3 hardstuck player but didnt play ranked for 3 years i came back in s13s2 played duo with bad champs got to d4 with 80% wr then in s14s1 i placed emerald 2 and from a 65% wr i started to lose so much i got to emerald 4 40 ish lp 41% wr in 120 games it was impossible to win. I wanted to uninstall the game but decided to lose 3 more and played without a care in the world and i got to master for the first time in my life within 81 games with 78% wr up to 140 lp. And i can tell u is much easier to play in master than in emerald. This thing with winning and losing a lot imo is related to riots bad mm and the mentality u have during it, if u only focus on yourself and try your best each time i dont think u wont improve in 100 games .
@@Rewleague well i did it on jg the second easiest roll in the game. For me it was much easier to gather gold and win alone from jungle than the other 3 solo laners so i cant say it will be a similar experience for everyone but if u focus on 1 role only and 3 champions (your main champ, second main and a comfort pick to work in any situation), never get mad during the game only after the game is done, understand that everyone has a bad day, watch replays when u did a big blunder or u performed rly bad to see what u did and never do it again and watch guides/other high ranking players u will surly improve. I used to play 3 games a day, watch a replay, watch 1 challenger game of my champ and 2-3 videos of jg coaching each day and if i were to lose 2 games in a row in which i wasnt 1v9 i would stop and try again tomorrow with a clear mind. Also last season u couldnt duo in master like this season so that might also hinder your climb.
What worked for me is removing all those random factors, i'm going for 100% plays, not even 80%, because its not even enough with these players. In a good amount of my games my top laner inted 1v1 for no reason even while being last pick. If i'm blue side however... its autolose, because players in my team are just worse on average. Ranked feels dogshit right now, you can do (almost) everything right and still lose, it was true before, but now it feels like 30% of games are inevitable losses.
Ended last season at a 60% win rate on Gangplank in Emerald 1. I have now played 15 ranked games, I’m emerald 4 and literally cannot win on my main whom I have thousands of games on. Every single game is just a coin flip, either your bot goes 0/15 in 10 minutes or their bot does. I recognized this problem extremely quickly and have completely quit ranked until it’s fixed.
You can submit a ticket on a fresh account that is 2-50 in ranked with blatant troll stat lines, and no action will be taken on riots ends. I have watched account activity for multiple days after having one of these accounts in a game that I submit a ticket on. Like it does not even make sense how they currently moderate the trolling.
