I’m sad that they cut out (male) Ranma and Akane synchronized drop kick on Kuno. I really wanna see the animation of that. 😢😢😢 Ranma’s nightmare was longer. They cut out him turning into his female form, and the Giant Kuno picked him up like King Kong. 😅
@@richardryley3660 I believe the scene where Nabiki took photos of Ranma was only the 80s version. The 80s version changed some things from the manga, like: 1. Nabiki offering photos to kuno in two or three restaurants. She even has kuno pay for her food. 😂😂😂 2. Kuno’s gift to Ranma was a girl doll instead of a Panda plushie. 3. They didn’t kuno slice up a tree in half. 4. Instead of male students accidentally splashing Ranma, they have a couple replacing them. 5. Ranma and Akane fought outside instead of inside the dojo. I forgot to mention this, but when Nabiki told Kuno about the pigtailed girl’s soul and body belonging to Ranma, they cut the part where Kuno imagined Ranma abusing the pigtailed girl and showed a flower wilted down (deflower). In the 80s version, Kuno used the doll to show what he believes Ranma is doing to his “ pigtailed girl “. Btw, I could be misremembering the things I listed .
I am so, so glad you're sticking with this series, it really puts a big smile on my face too watching it!! Ranma 1/2 is such a cute show. You don't have to take my two cents obviously, but if you want to know what someone with a linguistics degree & some experience as a translator thinks, AI translation is really not great to use, I've turned on your subtitles and it could be done so much better by a paid translator, I'd love if you reconsider. Regardless, I'm happy that you're wanting to connect with your non-English-speaking audience out here. ^-^
It's not really made clear what temperature is required to reverse the curse. My headcanon is that there is a range of temperature where the change won't take place, if you're already in cursed form, you'll stay in cursed form, but it's not cold enough to trigger the curse. That would make ot even harder to determine the temperature required. That being said, room temperature water does seem to activate the curse, so it doesn't have to be all that cold. Just rain or a glass of water is enough. The water has to be at least hot enough to feel it for the curse to be reversed. Not boiling, but it has to be at least heated.
If anyone new to this is curious about the older Ranma 1/2 material the 2024 anime 3rd episode covered episode 4 to 6 of the original anime and chapter 6 to 9 of the manga. You can start watching/reading from episode 7 of the anime or chapter 10 of the manga.

I just got to say that these 2 are so good together there is a fan AMV of scenes of these 2 interacting in the original to a blackhawk song "any man with a heartbeat" and it fits so well. (edit: If you want to check it out the title of the video to look for is "ranma has a heartbeat")

In the OG episode, Kunou wants to give a frilly girl doll to the Pigtailed Girl-And when Nabiki tells him the PG’s mind and body “belong” to Ranma, he uses it to put on a play: “Enemy of women, I see what you’ve done!: ‘Aha, Pigtailed Girl, you are in my power!’ ‘Eek, I’m helpless to resist! 👧’” The cringe is enough to make boy Ranma’s braid stand on end. 😧
Shouldn't such a comment be prefixed with "spoiler warning"? Two of those characters have not even been introduced yet! However, Ranma always identifies himself as a boy and I guess the girls just "accept" his girl part, isn't it?
Spoilers aside, since it's a bit late for it; I suspect Ukyo isn't interested in being the guy to Ranma's girl. The whole reason she's pursuing him is to get her female identity back. Unless she decides she's ultimately more comfortable in male clothes, she would want Ranma to be cured. Akane doesn't seem to be interested in Ranma's girl side, but she DOES think of "her" as a friend, even after the Naked First Impression. I suspect Akane is actually more comfortable with Ranma's girl side than Ranma is. She might have a knee jerk reaction to the idea of being a lesbian, but I think she'd also get over it. It's likely Ranma would be very disturbed by the idea too. Shampoo is the wild card. Her society is matriarchal, and she doesn't treat Ranma like a woman, but she HAS flirted with him in girl form. It's probably just to throw him off guard, but who knows how her society sees it. 😅
They skipped the part where Nabiki poured water on Ranma while he was sleeping to take pictures of Ranma girl type then pourd warm water on him so he would go back to boy type he woke up and thought he peed the futon.
