I hope this year people don't blame the RU-vidrs again if anything bad happens. Milo and I went through that during Bo4 and being truthful is better than "being negative."
Imagine if Milo was all part of the "Truth Lies" marketing campaign.... He's feeding us information like this, but then *boom* first cutscene in the campaign is Milo walking into our screen in a "gotcha" type moment... That would be hilarious
I like how nobody talks about call duty declassified, even though it’s cannon into Black ops two and Cold War so why isn’t it on the timeline then? but yet I still get unanswered questions
Being an adult is realizing that Activision would be better inviting Milo to Call of Duty previews and events because he will bring meaningful, impactful feedback, but they never will because they would rather surround themselves with "yes" men and the state of the series will only suffer from it. This is why the world is in the state it is, which sucks.
I just commented this too I swear I said they should invite all the major zombies RU-vidrs to the call of duty headquarters and they use some of that budget that they are using to fly randoms to Dubai and make a team that would make the best zombies even the best game in the world because it’s accurate to the T for the community
@@IBSniperFTWthat’s crazy because moments ago i legit said in my head that Activision would benefit so much inviting people like Dalek, Milo, Lex etc. to help steer the ship for zombies. unfortunately like the original commenter and many others said, they’re full of yes men with dollar signs for eyes.
I think being an adult is realizing you don't know everything, and that the trillion dollar mega corperation isn't entirely focused on making the game you specifically want.
So basically it’s not viewers that are interested in the game but viewers that have stumbled upon the video by “accident” due to the payed advertisement
yeah the word the ad system uses is "served" - i.e. those people have been served the trailer to watch without choosing to do so. This is not a bad thing, it's good to advertise, but it's important to understand what is organic vs inorganic if trying to draw conclusions from the data :)
keep on keeping on brother, your perspective on things is valuable and your videos are great. I watch everything you put out just for the vibes, I haven't played a COD game since Cold War
I’ve been watching your guides since I was in high school and remember how genuine and passionate you are and deciding to stick around. I don’t play those games anymore but it hurts sometimes to come back and see you get hurt so badly from this game that you love, especially around when mw3 died down. You were a huge part of my childhood and I love seeing you back in the saddle once again, maybe I’ll partake in the slippery slope of bo6 and maybe I won’t but I know for sure I’ll tune into the Easter egg guides haha.
@MrRoflWaffles Ive already seen people on reddit talking about this video saying you're just pointing out every flaw in the game and saying its awful when everyone else thinks its good and you're just mad youre not an Acitvision partner anymore lmfao, couldn't be clearer that they literally just aren't watching the videos lol
Honestly, Milo is like a Necessary Evil when it comes to COD Zombies and I enjoy that as he brings up issues that are more often then not pulled under the rug.
I have never seen someone call me a Necessary Evil before hahhaha lowkey this is so funny, like in the universe you have fundamental forces like Hope, Desire, Fear, Chaos, Joy, and MILO LMAO 😂🎉
Necessary Evil is an interesting way to put it. I get what you mean but don’t agree with the wording or connotation of the term. He’s not evil or bad in any form in these situations. He’s just an honest and frank person.
I've watched Waffles for a very long time (blackops 1-2 ee times) and it's become so heartbreaking to see how he is pretty much punished for giving an actual care about the series and providing insight into so much without an overly biased or shilling mindset. thanks for everything you've done and the great content you've provided me through my youth and even now
Millions have spent years if not a decade+ of their lives playing COD and anytime some hear criticism about the games they feel like they are being personally attacked and insulted… the internet has broken so many people’s psyches
FYI those same millions and even more have spent the last decadt+ wishing for the franchise to die, and that hate is created and led by content creators. I don't know why there's such excitement for a dead franchise.
@@sedohemaI played OG MW’s and Blops in Jr High and had 15-20 days played on each game. I quit gaming in HS but came back after getting hyped for COD WW2 cuz I thought it was returning to its glory days… I thought
Why are people SO loyal to Activision???? I genuinely don’t understand it, they’ve consistently taken advantage of us, mislead us, flat out lied to us, broken promises, etc etc. Even IF someone was being negative towards Call of Duty…. Don’t they deserve it??? I’m STILL mad about them just completely dropping MW3 zombies after that was the only reason I bought the game, a big part of that being Treyarch’s name attached to the project, the initial content on release looking exciting, and my friends wanting to play with me. I genuinely feel scammed. Maybe I’m just jaded, but I cannot stand Call of Duty worship. If they had any idea on what it takes to create a game that’s gonna make the community happy again, MrRoflWaffles would be the FIRST person invited to COD events. But no, they just want to pay creators to talk good so that they’ll sell more games and more bundles in the store. It’s disgusting.
"Why are people SO loyal to Activision?" To put it simply, corporations hold the key to their favorite drug. In this case, Call of Duty: A product designed to siphon as much dopamine as possible from easily manipulated human beings, those with addictive tendencies. Sure, the simulated gambling Advanced Warfare introduced a decade ago, has departed the franchise forever, but Activision have employed other manipulative tactics with direct purchases present in the item shop. They're attempting to emulate Fortnite's successful business model, basically and they've achieved this for the most part. All while the people who've willingly trapped themselves within Activision's ecosystem, for whatever reason, aren't changing their minds anytime soon. No matter the discourse. They don't care about the hard-working developers, or the state of the games industry, or the fact that these corporation don't see their customers as people --- they just want their fix. I understand. Reality sort of sucks right now. People are doing what they can to cope, and escapism, while a crutch, definitely fulfills that function. Call of Duty included. It's the fast food of gaming in that it's a quick, easy high. Good in short bursts, but definitely unhealthy on a regular basis. The addicts have no concept of the latter, or they're completely indifferent.
Really appreciate you always being so level headed about all of this. Your community appreciates the transparency bro and understands where you are coming from! You and GlitchingQueen are my go to Zombies RU-vidrs 🧟
As someone that was fed the 15, 30, and 60 second cuts of the trailer something like 60 times since Sunday, I completely agree that the view count is likely inflated by paid views. It’s not being negative, it’s just using data to make inferences and stay informed
It’s definitely being negative, he’s purposely trying to make everyone hate on black ops because they didn’t invite him to play the game early. Man is petty, delusional and just plain stupid. You all can definitely see what he’s actually doing you just refuse to bring it up because of how loyal you all ste
I think they will cause 4 years development a lot of time to craft zombies plus after the shit show from the past couple years they got a lot to give back to us and I can’t wait to see wat they have cooked up
@lewisbray8538 Development time doesn't really matter. We see tons of games with massive development times being complete flops & before cods had less development time and they were way better then the stuff we have now.
having gotten back into zombies recently I find that I enjoy your videos more now than I did when I was younger. I appreciate your style of commentary and your willingness to look at both the good and the bad in a situation much more than I could when I was way younger
Subbed after years :D ( i barely sub people because everyone has mood switches wich benefits only themselves). You're the only one that keeps it real and goes into stuff that barely anyone does. I'm a Older competitive COD player who really quit playing after BO4 cause it's all wack even the zombies after that. This game looks promising with the round based zombies coming back so fingers crossed the even QUICKER movement doesn't ruin it.
DO NOT LET THE TWITTER BRAINROT PEOPLE GET TO YOU, MILO!!!!! People on Twitter constantly consume large amounts of stupid juice before opening the app. No matter what you do, these types of people will always be the forefront of people you see on Twitter. There seems to be no way to help them or change their mind. Stay strong Milo, you are one of the only people I know that gives me CoD info that holds the most amount of truth. To hell with Activision if speaking the truth means that you don't get invited out to see the next CoD games. Keep doing what you do, its the reason we all stay and watch ❤
@@Scartofen101 yeah try telling other people that people will never believe you until you give them proof but with this video this is all the proof you need
Thank you for providing a research-like approach to these situations like views and other game related topics. I study chemistry, so approaching topics with a research mindset is common for me, and content like this is fun for me to watch.
watching you go through this is so painful to me. I used to be part of so many communities that treat me like an outsider now, and watching somebody else as intelligent, wellspoken, and caring as I am go through the same alienation and fighting back is inspirational, and equally heartbreaking. I hope the COD fanbase finds a way to understand that you just want a better game, and that if they can't, you find a way to move on healthily.
Really great video! Hearing your explanations of the paid advertising was very interesting and useful to learn about. I'm definitely wiser after this video. I can completely understand where you're coming from too with the balanced takes. As someone who tries to provide a good balance in my own communities, I can find it frustrating getting labelled or reduced to a single take. I hope Black Ops 6 goes well, and I'm looking forward to the future videos.
The best part of people calling you negative, is the fact that you’ve always been one of the more optimistic people in the zombies community. Granted you’ve always been very honest in your opinions, you’ve also always been super positive and supportive to the devs. This whole thing genuinely baffles me. Never change Milo ❤❤
My criticism is that maybe people didn’t like it (the tweet) because it didn’t give much context it’s like saying not to be a buzzkill but this girls parents payed for the party stuff it doesn’t tell me whats wrong with it or how to improve it. He could’ve just said maybe it could’ve been longer or they gave us 6-10 minutes.
@@jaross2000 In this analogy, If there was a twitter post praising this girl for setting up the party all on her lonesome, and then someone made the same claim (that being that she didn't.) I feel like the context would be self evident.
Hate: one-phrased histeria. Criticism: elaborared. The tiktok Generation we live in is doomed to not know the difference between these two. They see, for example, the thumb and title of this video and already says Milo hates the game and wants it to fail, They don't Care to look at the lenght of the video, minutes of him explaining his point.
@@spicytoast6890 it doesn’t have much substance to stand on rather than to evoke negative comments with either people defending call of duty or hating on it it’s not really criticism at best it’s a negative side comment assuming I never watched his videos and just read that tweet. Not to say he’s wrong but it’s not neutral comment because his motivation would be in people’s question not necessarily the validity of his claim. That’s why I think people didn’t like it along with hopeful fans that think this could be call of duty’s big comeback.🤷♂️
I love your honest take on things and bringing our attention to things that might become issues for this game. I'm honestly worried about whether we'll be able to play this game in 10 years if it's online only and they decide to take the servers down. I've had people call me negative before and I told them it was their perception that added the negative tag to what I had said. I try (and fail sometimes) to not be biased and to people that love something a lot they can sometimes think you are attacking them by saying something critical about what they like when you love it too but can see it's flaws. Still it's worth being honest and hopefully the discussion can lead to problems that can be fixed.
I appreciate how he says he’s disappointed he can’t go sometimes, but he still tells it the way he sees it anyway. He has the most respect from me out of all zombie RU-vidrs
This is why i watch your video break downs and your opinions on cod zombies. You break it down for people to understand, you speak your mind, and you let the community know whats going on with points from both side. I personally want to know the good the bad and the ugly because im passionate about zombies also and i dont want to be lied to or misslead i just want to know if the game will be worth my time or not. Thanks Milo ❤
Theres an excessive amount of people in this community that assume every cod is going to be bad, but theres also an excessive amount of people that blindly defend and hype up every cod. Both groups spread a lot of uncertainty and hate throughout the community and even the casual fan base. I guess that’s just what happens with a franchise this big.
Man it feels like every big gaming fanbase is just like this. Fallout is another one. Where either you hate everything produced by bethesda or you aren't allowed to say anything bad and have to blindly consume. People need to take a nuance pill and realize that they owe nothing to corporations, and that being constantly negative about everything and being a doomer is counter productive
Thank you, Milo. It's good to remember to enjoy life sometimes and take a step back from the internet. You have a great impact on a lot of people and we appreciate the effort you put into your work. Thank you for everything, Mr ROFL WAFFLES. Keep moving and never let anyone hold you down
im very cautiously optimistic the last time a first reveal got me this excited was with battlefield 2042 and we know what kinda shitshow that turned into
They pulled a cyberpunk with that game and pulled it back to be a great game, if it released in the state it is now, would’ve been a top tier game but alas it was rushed and they pushed it out way too soon
Im so sick of people complaining about cod. We’ve come so far from the old days where we just played the game and had fun with friends in the living room split screen. Games weren’t perfect then either but we weren’t so obsessed with a game being perfect and making a living out of it but but more focused on the fun you had playing it with your friends.
Youre not negative Milo..youre realistic and we're all here for it. Wish these supposed AAA gaming companies realised your potential my man.. Instead of stonewalling you. You dont want a bad game..how do they not align with that sentiment?
It’s refreshing watching these videos. Although I am not interacting with you it feels as though I am holding an intelligent conversation with someone where all viewpoints are being consider which sadly isn’t common nowadays.
Best explained video of the current online situation with people hiding behind der phones/pcs. Your doing great and i personaly like videos, which are not super hyped and taking a step back to see everything from another point of view. Your the greatest!
I’m only 5 mins in but I’m glad you’re addressing this because these “you’re being negative” people have began to really annoy me when they’re saying that in response to genuine and justified criticism or skepticism.
@@Tackk6 I'm not making a goof that's what I actually think. I bought that expensive season pass too, good times. The yellow thing was supposed to be me.
I noticed this before you posted the video. I always look at comments and likes compared to views. I knew something was off. But I am excited and really hoping they don't fumble this.
You are actually the realest and the most relatable person on RU-vid. You don't need a better relationship with activision nor do you need any trips to LA. We are eternally grateful to have you
Welcome to the internet where when you state a fact that people don’t like you get labeled as the bad guy or people straight up say you are lying or both.
I really love how you do both sides of the coin and you go in depth when making arguments and not just popping random articles like others. Don't let the haters and trolls get to you because there will always be some. The comment about you being negative is a business passive aggressive mind game. They are basically tricking people into thinking that's what you are and making your statement false by the same. They are paid to make a fool out of you in the eyes of your community. I just hope people can see through their schemes. Keep being true to yourself and you won't lose your community, we will always support you
I just had to put this out there because I don’t think you get as much recognition for this that I think you deserve. Your unwillingness to cave into the easier path of content creation, like you mentioned in this video, is the reason I’ve found myself coming back to your channel first over the years before any other cod content creator. When I want the most objective explanation of whatever is going on in the community or when some cod news breaks, I find myself searching up good ‘ol Milo for his take first. Thanks for your dedication to the community AND your self
Numbers aside, what makes Blackops games stand out to me is their unique ideas. You get cool twists on history and well known people (Alcatraz, Cold War events, JFK… I could go on). Something that the modern warfare series and sledgehammer games don’t offer. Part of the reason why I only buy treyarch games now. Now not every game made by them is like this, but they make the most unique games imo. But only time will tell how this game turns out.
See nobody could make me dislike Milo, the amount rep he has and how much he has helped a lot of people do ee’s, I could never see him be negative in my eyes idk 🤷♂️
I really appreciate the fact that you are being active and in the front of the COD community, whether it is zombies or its other content. True, organic honesty is way better than shilling for a megacorp. And with how everything is also so political, I appreciate the fact you’re nipping the lies and deception right out the gate
Milo, I'm a fan of your content over many years and must agree with the information you're providing and you have demonstrated your unbiased opinion for the COD franchise because you love the game and want to see it be successful and help us the consumer, appreciate your voice which is very well supported by people like me who seen your passion for this game you clearly love. Don't stop what you do!! Which is providing impartial and absolutely GENUINE and unbiased options, your communications over my interest in COD (at least the last 20+ years) confirms this. Don't let these haters silence you!!
I was soooo excited for zombies because I thought it would be like bo3 with the gobble gums coming back, but the second I saw the crafting materials in the trailer I instantly lost my excitement, I can't stand the way cold war zombies gun system worked. It was fun at first, but it's just not my zombie experience I want😭
Many, *_many_* of my friends loved _Cold War_ & its systems. Considering weapon rarity is here to stay, and how, in our current game, it’s completely random if you get an Aether Wrench or not, I think craftables are a breath of fresh air.
@@xeno703if you think about since they are listening to feedback why don’t they remove it? If the majority of people don’t want that why is it in the game? It’s because people really don’t care as long as the gameplay is fun and, hey if you don’t like it don’t buy it.
Hey man, been watchin you since 2011 when I started doin bo1 easter eggs. Just wanted to say I appreciate you for staying true to your beliefs when it comes to cod zombies. I'm not talkative on twitter or anything really about my opinion on the current era of zombies, but I've always agreed with your input on the series. You know what made this game good, and you'll always have my viewership brother. Thanks for fighting the good fight for those of us who don't have a voice.
This was a great watch. Marketing really is a business maker. Its funny because the engagement on that video is literally 1000x smaller than the viewership.
Skepticism is not only healthy, but should be encouraged in an industry that has proven to be untrustworthy lately. Toxic positivity inevitably leads to negativity via disappointment due to unmet expectations. Since CoD/Activision have lost the trust of the zombies community, the content creators that they're not paying off are naturally going to be more likely to share their honest thoughts and opinions. We value those honest thoughts and opinions as viewers with questions and concerns about upcoming titles. Thanks again for your dedication to the CoD Zombies community!
good for u milo. stick to what you think is right. it is very important to not let the hate get to you rn. one day you will feel vindication, just dont lose ur mind in the process
I get that you're just trying to get ahead of a negative narrative forming, but honestly I think you just gotta accept that it's mostly out of your control, and that some people won't even watch but will still have opinions about you, but those of us who actually do watch your videos recognize and appreciate the fair, straightforward, and thorough communication & consideration you provide.
yeah this is def true - I'm just hoping that at least by being proactive this way, I can look back on this in a few months and say welp at least I tried! better than nothing I suppose haha
@@MrRoflWafflesI love being subscribed to people that are honest with themselves and trying to be human and not hype it up. Someone I'd be willing to hang out with and play some games!
Damn Milo, i was missing rational conversations in this community. Really, the fact that you're back makes me even more hyped for bo6, just cause you will be covering it
I hope i get to see a vid in october that starts as "Hi guys, rofflewaffles here, This is the no nonsense guide to the terminus ee"😂 would be great to have a cod good enough for a ee guide lmaoo
lol every time there was a discord ping I thought it was my discord until you said you were muting it around 25 mins in. Keep doing you Milo, great content and very informative
I agree, Milo's posts do bring my mood down sometimes. But its so important that we be honest here and keep a level head. Milo's the goat for giving us unbiased info and being just about the sole creator in the community that acts this way. I'm thankful for you Milo fr fr
I'm sorry that sometimes I bring the mood down, but I really, really appreciate your recognition that it's ultimately for the best - that means a lot. Thank you 🫡
Just providing feedback. But I too feel like some of your recent content around bo6 has been pessimistic and It might rub your audience the wrong way. Extremely fair to be skeptical because this community has been burned so many times before. But YOU are THE cod zombies guy. You are that guy. Call me naive but I think this could be the best cod zombies experience we have gotten since BO3 because treyarch finally have a full development cycle. We are excited for the return of zombies and want you to be excited with us. much love from a long time fan
I aint played a COD Zombies since Black ops 3, but i still watch every video you make on it. Livin Vicariously innit. The best bit of any COD game in the last 8 years is the zombies Anticipation on this channel. Every year. The best Zombies streamer by far. Respect
It’s crazy how even just information is a problem to some people if you are the one to present it. Your takes have been incredibly reasonable, I’ve seen a balance of excitement and very fair skepticism from you. But this wasn’t even a take, it was just a statement of a thing that happens. It’s not a counter to anyone’s excitement for the game itself
I think as community we need to stand more with Milo, he is one of the very few influential content creators that is addressing the elephant in the room and I just find it sad that he needs to make a video to outline what all of us should’ve seen from the beginning. Milo my brother, I’m at the start of my content creating “career” and I respect your views and how you are presenting your arguments. We are here to enjoy a game that has originally brought all of us together and it’s just sad to see how the industry is moving away from that same purpose. Keep it up Milo and stay real man!
I'd rather content creators be honest. The most annoying thing about our society today is so many people are too often ready to get offended by someone just providing information, whether that was information given with or without an opinion. Milo, you're amazing providing good valuable information. Far better than most content creators! Also whenever you do give your opinions and beliefs you're always really good at providing good information around that.
Been watching your zombies content for years dude, I can tell how passionate you are about CoD Zombies and its community. I didnt think you were being negative at all, and I've now gained some insight on paid views. Keep up the good work Milo ❤
I don't often care for opinions, but you, Milo, I do. Your opinions and outlook are very aligned with mine, and as a fellow lore nerd, I'm all for it. I've been watching since day one, and I hope this year of zombies is good for us. I love that you keep it honest and don't seel out. If I were to have a platform, I'd do the same as you You and Lex have been keeping the community going in the dark ages, and I respect that.
A lot of people have been saying you’ve been being “negative for the sake of being negative” since all the way back in BO4. Giving critiques and opinions on something you’re deeply passionate about is how you change things for the better. If that didn’t happen Treyarch would’ve thought Vanguard zombies was the right way to go.
In a franchise's ecosystem that's surrounded by yes men and hype train conductors, everyone could do with a bit of harsh reality. But be careful, you can't walk and lead the sheep if someone's stepping on your toes! Keep doing you bro, modesty and honesty is hard to come by. Thank you, sincerely.
they have to make a good game before i care about cod agian also it seems with games we are at the point where negativity is the only way to get companies to listen construive critziem does nothing
You are the only MAJOR CoD zombies + "news" channel I watch now (besides Exclusive ACE for MP tips), immense shame on Activision for the whey they treated you, for speaking the TRUTH and what thousands of zombies fans have been feeling. Please keep it up 🙌
it also just does not make sense for this particular reveal trailer to have THIS many views as compared to a trailer like infinite warfare. That game was talked about literally everywhere and for negative reasons but getting coverage nonetheless. I havent seen shit about bo6 unless im actively looking for videos talking about it. Nobody really just gives a shit about COD anymore like they used to.
Hey Milo loving the content lately, I heard about your zombies documentary, when can we be expecting that this month? Later or more in the middle? Beyond hyped. P.S. in 2018 i named my dog after you, true story. 13 y/o me, and my family, were given a dog for Christmas from my aunt, it was slightly after the peak of cod zombies and Milo came to mind first. I actually tweeted you about it the day it happened 😂 keep it up.
