His name is David Gilmour. There are few perfect things in this world. A sunset, a new born baby, and this solo. I heard a fan say that you don't listen to Pink Floyd, you experience Pink Floyd. Sounds exactly like what you described. Next song of theirs you should react to is Time.

To the more learned musical snobs I've introduced to this piece of music, I've described it as operatic in scale and epic in musical stature. The comment I get when they finally open their eyes and take off the headphones is usually, "What the f**k just happened?" I like your comment, too.

Saw Floyd on the Momentary Laps of Reason Tour at Vets years earlier) There is no way to describe the energy of the crowd, the production and of course the talent on that stage. I was working as a lighting tech in Branson MO for Mel Tillis. The moving lights you see here are VeriLites. We had just done an install of 375 of these. They sent a tech out to us to help with the install. AaveriLite asked if we wanted to see Pink Floyd, he'll yes. We get to Arrowhead stadium and who do we see at the light board! David, the light tech running the board for Pink Floyd! Yes, we watched the show from the lighting booth. This show was a truly spiritual experience. And yes, that's David Gilmore on guitar.

Pink Floyd is not rock music. They by far have their own sound and are literally their own genre! And that song was not the finale when you go to a Pink Floyd concert every song is that amazing! People would hear that Pink Floyd is coming to do a concert and would leave in the middle of their own wedding to go stand in line for tickets!! When I say they're not rock they're their own genre take a look at either "High Hopes" or "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" from this same 94 Pulse concert!!

Yes I can imagine being there. Because I sort of was.... I was never in Earls Court, ever, but I saw the same leg of this tour in 1994 in Rotterdam. And I have see this song performed just as good as this one here.... slightly different like any live performance, but just as fantastic. The stadium I was in was a football stadium, so no roof..... and the ball came up out of the floor in the middle of the stadium. The effect was just as fantastic though, disco ball throughout a 50,000 seat stadium. It was this concert that made me a Pink Floyd fan for life.

I was lucky enough to see the band perform at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on April 17, 1994. The disco ball came up from the floor instead of hanging from the ceiling. You need to react to more Pink Floyd! Their most famous albums are "Dark Side Of The Moon, "Animals," "Wish You Were Here," and of course "The Wall." Those four albums will make you a Pink Floyd fan for life! If you can listen to the songs in order and fully in each album you'll be amazed, as each song leads into the next one. They were masters of sound and experiences. You don't listen to a Floyd song, you experience it. A lot of their songs are longer than normal, but you'll say "That's it?" when you finish one of the longer ones. People LOVE Pink Floyd reactions!!!

I was there at that very concert with an American girlfriend a the time. Imagine coming to England to meet again what you already thought was James Bond and Superman rolled into a better-looking package, and the first thing he does is present you with a ticket to see Pink Floyd from a fourth-row center seat. Even I can't believe how cool I was back then. No wonder she wore my arse out for the next 3 weeks solid. I was so glad when she went back to Florida because if she had stayed much longer I don't I would have survived a fourth. The Superman half of me may not be made of flesh and blood but the James Bond half is. What do they feed American women, on? Whatever it is, go easy on it, that stuff is dangerous.

I got to see this concert in Oakland - and it was an amazing experience. I got to see them at the Hornet Stadium in Sacramento for the Delicate Sound of Thunder Tour (I remember most of it) which was also amazing. The Pink Floyd sound started off a bit too popish until after Syd Barrett drifted off into a different direction. Shine On You Crazy Diamond is a super great tribute to their former band member. I recommend any performance of it, but best it's experienced LIVE.

Pink Floyd Comfortably Numb released 9/75; This is a story of an original band member(Roger Waters) that has trashed his hotel room and chased a young lady of the night out of his room screaming, Roger is having a nervous breakdown, and although he has made it very big in the music industry and has become comfortably numb financially but emotionally bankrupt. The hotel wake-up knock on the door and the words "it's time to go" are from the hotel people trying to get him to the show. A doctor is called hence "there will be a little pinprick "there will be no more AHAHAH" his hands felt like 2 ballons is the result of the drug and emotional state of the band member. A very good viewing is Pink Floyd the Wall ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oIZUJ4Msv7U.html it's a video that encompasses all the music on a 2 cd audio disc and a story that will explain most of the cuts it's a great afternoon of entertainment.

This song is just one act from Pink Floyd's rock opera "The Wall". As beautiful as this song is the true meaning behind it gets sadly lost out of context. This is where the main character is near death from drug overdose due to his depression and feeling like a piece of meat to his manager, producers and fans and all of the above prove him right by injecting him with more medication so he can go out on stage and make them more money. The Wall is such a piece of art showing many many faces of society. This song is just a taste of what the whole album holds. If you watch the movie and feel cheated afterwards, I'll cover the debt. PEACE/JT

If you want a juicy, top shelf Pink Floyd song, try "Dogs" (the studio version w/lyrics). Yes it is long 17 minutes but what a journey....Pink Floyd videos don't get blocked so three pauses will do it. Also, Pink Floyd's "Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts I - V) and there is another video for (Parts VI - IX). Those two are shorter only about 13 minutes each but again a top shelf journey.

The lyrics for one, and more relevant than they ever have been. It will get you feelin some kind of way it gets all the way down in to your soul. But the solo......is the prettiest solo my ears have ever heard. You can hear Gilmour enunciate with the strings and just sing this beautiful song without words. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xEMy34qhQe4.html

I remember it well having seen them a number of times over the past 50 years. This was the only time I saw Floyd without additives unless of course, you count a few pints of London Pride. Truly stunning and one of the few music DVDs I play regularly.

I still have my homemade Earls Court DVD. I remember the BBC was showing the concert live on TV, but my Mum told me to fuck off when I asked if I could watch it on the telly. So, I put a tape in the video in her room to record it and watched it on the telly in the caravan, with the volume on the stereo full blast, as the radio was syncing it live as well. Great times.

As beautiful as "Comfortably Numb" is, Pink Floyd has another song that, in my opinion, is equally as beautiful. Check out their song "High Hopes".

Nailed it.... High Hopes, Comfortably Numb, Sorrow, One of these Days, Coming Back to Life are ALL amazing songs AND all on the Pulse concert. High Hopes and Comfortably Numb are my favorites. The Live at Gdansk High Hopes is the best version to me. That acoustic guitar at the end is amazing...

"Can you imagine being there?" Four times. It changed my music life. For the finale of the concert, check out "Run like Hell' from the same pulse concert. It will not disappoint you.

Four times for me, too, twice with the classic lineup with Roger Waters. Best Shows Ever! 🔊

I consider David Gilmour one of the best guitarists. Not so much for some fantastic speed, but his immensely felt game. DG plays his Fender Stratocaster with heart and soul ... I love him!

Bueno Eric Clapton tampoco era muy rápido con los dedos y también era un gran guitarrista

Do yourself a favor Jay put on a good pair of headphones and listen to Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd close your eyes and loose your self in the music. You will thank me later. Enjoy the ride!
