When Lupe first made his appearance my peers would say so much about kick push and how it was not relatable, Lupe album “food and Liquor” was probably one of the first album I purchased. That album will be forever goated in my book so much substance. The mixtapes to the album the cool and furthermore just the longevity. The brotha got a co-sign from Jay-z not a lot artist got that back in the day/ and a Jayz feature too cmon now.
Well he is put down a lot because he for one isn't for the gun bars just for being socially concious and secondly because he is like the labels boogeyman that they just cannot shake off from his status. They would LOVE to do that, have been since his third album which was was a nightmare to make with every problem. You can just hear from the songs in it, more so between the lines or quite straigjtforward that him not budging on the socially concious stuff started to be a problem at that point of height. Then he went on his own. Dude have said himself from his mouth that he have talked to illuminati, with a straight face. So yes, I beleave even the Royce/Lupe pod might have been a thing told from higher sources to make Lupe look as uncool as possibel.. since that he seemed to be trying to do the whole time. I also do beleave that Lupe already got the outcome on the bag before it happens if it will likely happen.. as it did. Royce constantly trying to top dog him. The longer video Lupe just talking about the whole thing in one cohesive vid (while Royce is making 10h of loosing his mind over Mickey diss content and why he doesn't need to respond) is very good, in it he actually mentions the illuminati thing.
Professionally accept what ethically i hate pertains to every single working person in america, not even from just an artists standpoint. I guarantee every single person has things they have to keep their mouth shut about at work and professionally accept what they ethically hate. Such a good line
