The fact that you pause and break it down is part of why I'm hear. You always have something interesting to say and your hip hop wisdom is 100. In my head your nickname is grandpa wisdom. Now you know strange things about me XD
Haters were saying that RM couldn't rap "fast", so he released this. When you react to the Lyrics, you'll see that a bunch of it is kinda gibberish, 'cause he's trying to show that fast rapping without real meaning is just a "Joke".
The "gibberish" myth created bc there were not good translations to explain the wordplay. Just check the doolset lyrics' trans to see it's not gibberish at all.
The next Rap Monster is "Do You" - and instead of finding videos and see if the CC works. search "rap monster do you eng sub" -- if you want english subs there is always some fan who translated.
Yes, he should totally do “Do You.” For some reason the fan who made eng sub for “Do You” mv is gone, I am unable to find it. I did some digging and found one that has very little views, but it’s got subtitles! Check it out. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rN0_2jyOgzg.html
In the video he's the "pacient" the "guard" and the "doctor" this song was basically a clap back to haters mocking him saying he could't rap fast. Hence the changes of flow, he's in control "guard" but he can go crazy on the beat "pacient" and slow it down whenever he wants "doctor". He's calling those haters a joke bc rapping fast does not always mean you're actually good lmao
9 flows, no chorus, straight bars! 🔥 Joke is an intelligent sattire for people who think rapping fast without any meaningful lyrics and flow is cool or good. The bibbiby babbiby verse you heard him say is the joke of him dissing the mumble jumble rappers. Joke is not just "fast rap" with no meaning. RM is the KING of wordplays. He focuses a lot on lyricism, double/triple entendre and flow. He gets his inspiration from 90's hip hop if you wanna check out his first mixtape. Masterpiece! BTW he has an IQ of 148 and you'll see why his lyrics always have double meanings. HE'S OFF THE CHAIN 🔥
Yo, your reactions are entertaining as hell. As a 44yr Hiphop head, I can appreciate skill. BTS definitely got skills. If you liked that beat, React to “Oh my darling dont cry” by Run the jewels. Thats where RM got the beat from. He killed it.
there’s a huge amount of wordplay and references to korean things that might not be caught in a regular translation, so i recommend watching a lyric video that explains all of that too! this one is pretty good, just turn on the captions and pause when you need to ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OxMrBNBWksM.html
I like that when you pause, you actually have something to add that makes people think about the content of the music itself, and that's why I keep coming back. I have a suggestion for a K-rap video I think you'd like that was very influential in the world of K-pop at the time it came out. T.O.P's Doomdada
Even though you got the main message the bars he spit are equally as important and I feel that you might lose your shit over literally everything he said.
If you so hyped without knowing what he said 3/4 of the time you gonna go crazy with the lyrics...this is def one of my fav solo rm raps the flow is epic
There is a lot of word play in the lyrics. You have to understand that some of it in nonsensical as a intentional dis to rappers who rap about nonsense saying he's not a real rapper. Basically I can rap about nonsense using it to diss you which makes sense. If I wasn't Suga/Agust D bias'd RM would probably be my favorite in BTS. There's just something about the way Suga rap's that really expresses emotion in his flows. RM has it too, no denying that, just Suga is better at it. RM has the benefit of speaking English much better and being the group leader. I think it helps English speakers relate to him more. I think RM has 2 mix tapes, but I may be wrong on that, and has done a collab with Wale called Change that is good for a reaction video as well ( I think RM raps all in English in it ). Just a added comment, I like when reactors stop a video to react to a specific part so long as they roll it back a bit before starting the vid again. You do that so I'm down.
I disagree but it’s just a matter of personal taste.I think RM is the best rapper of the three. Each to their own. All three bring something to the table
@@macwest5790 according to army's you don't need to have technical skills & amazing rhyme schemes and wordplays. All they know about rap is dissing someone & gone through depression to be called best.
@@jjangjjangbongbong4552 RM is better than Suga and this is a fact but I understand why most of people prefer Suga. RM can be seen as too "technical" or "mechanical" when Suga is all about the emotion and the rawness.
@@ktilavey3969 rm is also raw what are you talking about but yeah he is very technical. It's like saying saying nf is better than Eminem. I am not saying that rm is Eminem & suga is nf. I am just comparing something rap is all about lyricism & skills which namjoon has more. A lot of complex rhyme schemes, punchlines& , wordplays & double & triple entedrues.
i've been really enjoying your reaction videos because of how much you appreciate the art and effort that they put in their work. i'm guessing now you can see why we're so supportive of them! they deserve every single recognition they receive and wayyy more. we're extremely proud of them, really. thank you so much for taking the time to react to their work! 💜
RM tends to rap in both Korean and English he is known for his play with words and meaning so when he switches between the two language's it's always for a reason and for the delivery making everything he saying hit harder. At least to me it always hit hard lol BTW love your reaction and break down of videos you're doing great!💜 Also when you get the chance you should listen to The Last it's another Suga aka Agust D song it's so worth it I promise
As a person who lives in Italy(my parents are Moroccan) I totally losted it when random Italian showed up😂💜 2:34 The subtitle translation doesn't make any sense lol😂😂 "But not at the expense in sounds so that we" (Google translation because I didn't know how to explain it lol) Cmq i sottotitoli creati da yt in modo automatico la maggior parte delle volte non hanno senso anche con i video in italiano lol😂
(1) Yes, Cinderella haha (2) The only time I personally have a problem with reactors pausing is when they lose momentum of the song or pause right on a part I wanted them to react to -- so hitting play loses the part. You bring the video back, though, and you're genuinely giving your reactions and thoughts to certain parts instead of talking over the video, so I forgive you c:
RM'S favorite Rappers are 2pac , Eminem, Nas , Drake ,Biggie. He looked up to them growing up and still does . The Rap lines first Concert to attend together was a Eminem Concert.
Who tha real one been here since missing ceiling panels scru look at our boy now reactin to the GOOD shit! Puttin out FIRE music! I love and respect your game scru! you a low key inspiration!
Finally! I’ve been waiting for this! I think you would enjoy seeing the lyrics too. By the way, right before the lyrics that sound like a Disney children’s rhyme, he mentions other rappers who can only rap 3 syllable words. He is saying this is what they sound like.
I watch reaction videos to see your reaction. You pause as much as you like! If I want to the original video I’ll go to it, simple, I’m here for your reaction!💜💜💜
I LOVE your reactions so much!!! It’s amazing to see people appreciate their hard work, and get past the language barrier, and just enjoy it for the music it is!! I would LOVE to see you react to the lyric video cuz he goes C R A Z Y. New subscriber, keep em comin!!!💕💝
I really liked this. Only a rapper can watch another rapper spit and flow like that, and show this kind of appreciation & respect to the essence of the song/rap and the talent/skill shown, even without understanding half of the actual meaning of it. You’re amazing for this. 👍🏼
Yeah man! U breaking shit down is the best part. Love actually learning what they are rapping about. I appreciate u taken the time and doing these videos. Keep up the good work ❤️
YESSSSSSS Scru back with another reaction!!~ I like when you pause and analyze a bar and break it down. Shows the depth of your perspective on both the music and the lyrics. Please when you get the chance please react to J-Hope - Chicken Noddle Soup and Airplane next and hopefully BTS - Fake Love and Tears when you get the chance. Thanks for another thorough reaction!
I never listened much to rap and rap songs as a genre cause I'm more into rock and pop mostly, but since I started listening to kpop I became a fan of it and when I get to the rap parts I try to go along. Fun fact: RM said in Ellen's show that he learned english from the Friends show 😁😁💜💜💜💜
honestly Rm's duality is incredible, he is such a soft hearted person but also brings quality content to the table without rambling, straight to the point. He is just a very amazing person and writer and he inspires me a lot.
THANK YOU FOR REACTING TO THIS!!! Also really recommend you check out Jhopes mixtape/solo works and the rapline solo mixtapes. You’ll find that they all have such different styles💜💜
Love your reactions! Funny, authentic and so into what you are hearing from a purely musical perspective. Yeah, BTS is my new obsession. Been watching a ton of videos about them in quarantine. That's how I found your channel.
Thank you for your reaction!! Pls do Jhope next! Also I really like how you pause cuz ur actually paying attention. This song is actually called Joke because RM made it to basically prove the haters wrong. People were saying he wasn’t a good rapper cuz he couldn’t rap fast so he made this and obviously he’s rapping hella fast AND switches the flow like 10 times. PLEASE REACT TO THE LYRICS!!! Some of them will sound like they don’t make sense but that’s the point because he’s trying to show that rappers who only care about rapping fast don’t usually have good bars/lyrics they’re just gibberish but RM can rap fast AND use wordplay to get some super cool lyrics! Definitely worth watching :)
Yo scru, been watching a few reactions and you definitely deserved a subscribe. Wanted to see your thoughts on bigger artists and breaking down their bar schemes. Drake, kendrick, cole just wanted to see your opinions and breaking down their most known or their best verses. Sounds like a pretty cool idea to me keep up the good work brotha
check out the lyrics! (you'll have to do a lot of pausing to be able to read them though but it's so worth it!) people were always saying that he couldn't rap fast so he wasn't a real rapper. then he made this one and basically shut everybody up bc even if some of the fast rap is gibberish (just to add to the message that if you say nonsense just to sound fast, it doesnt matter) the parts that do actually make sense are just punch after punch.
There live performance at the Mama 2019 awards show was crazy too. If you get a chance, check it out. It's worth it. That was one of the first things of their's that I watched, I couldn't even telk them apart at the time, but it's what made me jump down the rabbit hole. And here I am now.... ARMY🤩
One of my fav. Rap by RM.. JOKE. is literaly for those look down on rm's ability to rap.yeah!! He was rapping in KOREAN LANGUAGE MIX WITH ENGLISH LANGUAGE.. thats y u understand the other thing he was saying😁😁
that's the line you liked: "Got six bullets in my tongue (Huh!) Six snakes in my lung (Huh!) Six shots got me feeling 2Pac, yeah, these are A$AP’s lyrics (Huh!)"
I hope you do something from hopeworld soon and complete the three rappers for solos! I recommend Base line, Hangsang, or daydream first :D💜 love you’re reactions you are so original!
You Scru. Love the content like always. Can you break down Gyopo rap remix by Los, Jay Park, my baby Jessie and G2. It has a straight 90's 00's cypher feel. I'd love to hear your take on their bars.
RM, the lyrical genius. Even on their group songs, there are so many word plays that you could identify its writer. I stan BTS esp. the rapline. Their rapline is one of the most untouchable in K-Pop industry.
