The original version of Sunshine by Alexander O’Neal is a timeless classic. That hook was already tried and true, so that’s definitely playing a part in how much people like or dislike the song.
Yo Amiri this not related to the video but I remember in some older videos you said you don’t like Cochise for his voice and I agree it took me some getting used to. But he has a new verse on this be lycal lemonade album where he actually sounds more natural like his XXL freestyle, or at least he didn’t play into that whole “Baby voice” shit as much in this one. Anyways ion wanna hold you it’s called “First Night” if you wanna check it out. It’s got Teezo Touchdown, Juicy J, Lil B, and Denzel Curry in it too. Thanks for all the great content man keep up the good work 💯💪🏾
Maaaaaannn!!! You know it with Nas - Hero being on Midnight Club LA. His other song was on there as well, Sly Fox. But its not as upbeat and fits well when it comes to racing in LA like Hero.
I respect your opinion on Lighters, but i will always have a soft spot for it because in 2019 it was one of the songs i was listening when i was going throught things in life, even to this day, i still can't listen to it without getting kinda emotional
Bruh, Hero and Sly Fox by Nas was my jams because of Midnight Club, along with Everybody Move with Tech N9ne too, that game put me on to hella songs fr.
Lighters was supposed to be the "bright" or "light" side of the álbum since all the current themes of the album are about drug$ and $ex. Back to the crib was my jam also lol
I knew bro wasn’t playing around when I saw that ps2 game binder… that’s real Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition for sure the best OG racing game though, clears Los Angeles easy
I honestly feel like if that Rihanna incident wouldn’t have happened, Chris Brown’s “Graffiti” album wouldn’t have sold as bad as it did. Cuz it was an OK album but obviously overshadowed by that shit
Midnightclub 3 is the best car game in the ps2 without doubt and also have another nas song which is you got a self gun which is good record man nostalgia shit😢
My hot take, in my lifetime Vol.1 was fire. You must love me, where I’m from, and imaginary players are fire etc. People played up the hate of the album because sunshine lol
Fire vid fasho. When I saw the title the first songs that came to mind for me were revenge by joey bada$$ and Aston Martin Music by Rick Ross. You can just tell that both of those songs were made for the radio
Yo Vol 1 is my second favorite jayz album, I'm surprised it doesn't get more love. It's has multiple classics. 'Lucky me' maybe Hovs best song. Streets is watching, you must love me, real niggas, where im from. Very solid work imo
«People who think that’s A fire bar, yall scare me.» 😂that’s funny as hell bro, but wanna know the type of people who scare me? People who store their games by putting the CDs in binders… like seriously, why do you do that?
I disagree about C4 being the worst Carter album… aside from it being my favorite, I love all of the Carter albums and consider it Wayne’s best series because of how diverse they are and how there’s something for everyone on each Carter. But C4 holds a special place in my heart.
I remember playing that Bad Meets Evil album and when Lighters came on I went "ah, I see what y'all tryna do". Wasn't surprised at all that it was a single. Another song that was obviously made to be mainstream is A$AP Rocky's Wild For The Night
i remember coming home from 5th grade and listening to back to the crib premiere on BET. i was super disappointed that song was wack lol Midnight Club 🔥
No, we didn’t sleep on it we hated it.. It’s a terrible song with Jay Z looking awkward in the video. It was him reaching for the puppy sound and it was bad and nobody likes it except you.
@@Loch1210 I understand why it is hated, I was stating that it's actually not bad a bad song, just not for him. From personal experience, I've actually heard people play this song within the past few years and women like it, has been my in Playlist for years.
@@eastsidelingo8404 women like most happy shit.Jay himself doesn’t the like it and at the time everybody in my circle, thought this song was ridiculous
@@Loch1210 the shiny suit Era was in at the time and he was trying to garner mainstream attention. You have to remember Jay-Z wasn't known outside of the East Coast or hip hop heads, while it might not have been the commercial success they were looking for, it made some noise. I like raw and gritty ish too but I also appreciate feel good party records. I'd rather put on Sunshine than a Kevin Gates record and females love that bs.lol
That second Jay album was okay but had a few reaches.I love a few songs on that album but something about it ain’t as fire as some other albums.I hated Sunshine so much
i’m ngl it’s kinda not a bad thing that nas was stopped from naming his album THAT bc imagine living in a society where people are saying their favorite nas album is a literal slur, or the nonstop discourse people would have about the name of the album 😭
I listen to lighter twice and i never liked it at all i think welcome 2 hell and there's a song in the deluxe called echo that my favorite 2 songs in this album
The best song Juelz has is a song nobody never really talk about & IDK why is...... "Homerun" feat Lil Wayne. You gotta listen to that, then come back & tell me that aint his best😂😂😂
1:15-“The reason that Juelz Santana is on this list is because I purposefully try to disrespect him even though he’s done nothing to me.“- That shit was so unnecessary with the why did he have to say that? As if Juelz Santana is ready to hear this😂😂😂😂😂
Sunshine is the worst song Jay ever made ever. Jay Z was trying to catch that puffy wave and it didn’t work for him and he looked goofy in the video and the colors were seizure inducing and it was just bad.
I actually like Sunshine. It’s what a hit single is supposed to be. Was just in the wrong hands. Jay wasn’t a big enough star to blow it up. If Biggie made this song it would be considered a classic. Another song is tht one Chamillionaire song it’s just like Jim Jones song. Somethin about a perfect day forgot the title. Cheesy af.
