Rapid Amplification of cDNA Ends (RACE) | Genomics 

RACE (Rapid Amplification of cDNA Ends) is considered the "gold standard" to find the 5' and 3' ends of an mRNA. Along with other techniques like RNase protection assay, Nuclease S1 mapping, and Primer Extension, this technique forms the part of molecular biology toolkit for mRNA mapping.
