When Josh is the one talking about the models, he does the best explaining of all the features and lighting and so on. Hearing all the technical stuff and how it works is extremely helpful especially from him. He should be featured in more videos!
Very, very well done. Indeed the P-S sets for the Eire Lackawanna along with their new U34CH locomotives were tagged as "Dieseliners" in the early 1970s. After the NJ Transitization of New Jersey commuter railroading, including the Central Railroad of NJ, the next batch of cars were dubbed "Comet" as they would be replacing the oldest CNJ cars in the fleet at that time. I already have a HO set of Comet IIs from another manufacturer but would love to have a set of prototypical Dieseliners some day.
Beautiful cars. I know I am excited for my NJT set. I really hope you guys decide to do another run with the center doors as well as a NJT cab car with ditch lights. Always looking forward to what amazing projects are on the horizon from Rapido. All the best, John
These are crazy beautiful. Ordered MBTAs. Thinking what would also be beautiful is that new CDOT scheme, incidentally being worn by former MBTA cars ;)
I waited 20 years for new Comet cars since the last time anyone ever made these was by walthers in the 1990s. I am crying right now, I have wanted a new company to make these cars my entire life and finally someone decided to do it. These cars mean a lot to me, Incredible job Rapido.
The MBTAs comets are actually called the BTC-1C, BTC-1A, BTC-1B, and CTC-1B (cab cars). All except the BTC-1C were built by Bombardier, the BTC-1C itself being built by pullman, as they are the oldest.
They've always said that Rapido locos and rolling stock look best upside-down after an "accident" - now they've finally positioned them that way in a preview video!
Already have the full CDOT MNRR on order, and received the FL9 to accompany...even Tracked down a MNRR genesis to go with.... Just hoping and waiting for the shoreliners gotta love that middle door!
Hey guys great Products I really like what I see from you guys by the way your videos always give me a good laugh. One quick question when will we see anther steam locomotive from you and have you guys ever thought of making a N&W J class like the 611? Thanks for the great video Jeff.
Probably won't see a 611 from us, but we've got a couple of HO steam locomotives in the works. This includes the CPR D10 and CN H-6, and we have others planned for the long term. rapidotrains.com/content/icons-canadian-steam
rapidotrains ok sounds good thank you one other loco I was wondering if you guys would make is the CN S1b like the 3254. I rode be hide that engine in 2009 at Steamtown and really enjoyed it. Thanks for letting me know and hope you are all doing well in this crazy time Jeff.
They will come in spring 2021... aha... today message from Trainworld... your Rapido Comet cars has been delivered and sent to you... 😃 But OK. They will be nice looking detailed cars for sure. Looking forward for them! 😊 I'll make a video review then and built in the strobe lights in cab car too... 😝
Awesome!!! Can’t wait to get my AMT fleet in it’s going to look awesome with Rapido fp7 AMTs. as always another amazing looking model. Will the cab car have sound? Bell horn things like that?
THANK YOU for showing the correct window arrangement on the engineer's side of the cab cars! Will the NJT cars have the horizontal bar across the cab end center door, as shown in the samples, or will that be removed?
rapidotrains Thanks for the response! Interesting...I can’t find any photos (in my collection or elsewhere) showing it, but I trust your attention to detail. And I suppose it wouldn’t be hard to clip off! 😉
Sad there’s no UTAX/ Front Runner coaches might get a septa one tho, also when will the F59ph be delivered? In the review video for it I didn’t hear them say the delivery date, keep up the great work and models!
The UATX/Front Runners are the earlier Erie Lackawanna versions, but we're interested in making those in in the future! The F59 models will be delivered sometime mid next year. We'll update the delivery schedule as things progress. rapidotrains.com/new-product-delivery-schedule
The Amtrak California "Comet" cars are unique being based on the Arrow I EMU 's and would require all new tooling. We'll certainly consider it for the future though!
@@rapidotrains If they are that specific I would say don't worry about it. If your gonna make a uniquie set I would say make the Amtrak California Siemens Venture trainset
Looks good. Is the N scale release tracking to come out at about the same time? And will there be any notable differences between the HO and N versions?
Those look nice, but the horns at 2:48 and 3:00 are really poor quality detail parts, like Tyco or Life-Like level. Hopefully that’s just a preproduction thing.
