You need to watch Killswitch Engage's "Signal Fire". It features both singers. Jesse was the original. Howard Jones is the guy you've seen so far. Howard moved on to another project and Jesse came back to Killswitch. There's no animosity at all with these guys. You'll see it in Signal Fire.
First time ever hearing Killswitch ,this was amazing. They put their own touch or spin on this classic!! They FN crushed it. The lead vocals was a 10 for me. Now I’m going to check this band out. I know I’m late on them, but better late then never Let’s Go BP!! 🤘🏻🇺🇸💯
The vocalist in this video is Howard Jones. He was in the band from 2003-2010. The current vocalist is the original one, Jesse Leach. Any songs pre-2004 and post-2009 will have him. He's good but Howard is just on another level and imo the band hasn't been the same since he left.

I've seen Killswitch Engage twice live. They are hilarious and very genuine guys. Both shows were super fun to experience, they don't take themselves too seriously with live shows, they are typically laid back and trying to have a good time like everyone else
As a metal head thats been part of the musical scene(guitarist) for a few decades now, I can safely tell you, those are screams. There are many types of screams, but ultimately that is what hes doing. When you get off into the stuff like what Will Ramos does in Lorna Shore, or Alex Terrible, thats when you get into Growls and Gutterals, that low deep stuff. Dont let the purists beat you up and confuse you Pegasus. Always love your reactions man.
First of all, I really enjoy watching your reaction videos because your observations and comments seem very thoughtful and genuine. That said, I am old enough to be your Mom (my eldest son was also born in 1980) so I grew up in the era that produced this kind of music. Yes, in my 20's/30's I was in many ways kind of shallow and had a long list of "requirements" I was looking for in a future husband/lover. (Of course, guys usually had an equally long list of qualities they required for a wife/lover) Both lists were extremely idealistic! The biggest lesson I have learned over the past 45 years is that both "Heroes" and "Beauty" comes in many different forms, most of which are nothing like we thought of when we were younger, and takes years of living to truly learn to appreciate. Anyway, keep up the great reations. I look forward to seeing more!
Killswitch Engage (especially during Howard Jones’ tenure on vox) did more for metalcore than almost any other band. They made it fun, and they made it accessible! In a lot of ways they just are metalcore. Their style of riffs and overall vibes are still staples of the genre to this day. IMHO, Howard Jones is one of the best metal vocalists ever. The dude’s range and tone is incredible. Some other tracks of theirs to check out: -My Curse -Rose of Sharyn They’ve always had a great sense of humor, especially Adam D. (the princess with the mutton chops). He’s the first and last guitarist I’ve ever seen rock a cape, Viking helmet, and booty shorts live. Fucking legend. If you want to get an idea of just how bonkers they could be live, look up some Supercuts of Adam D fucking with crowds. Cheers!

You have to check out "Element of One", "Fixation on the Darkness", and "My Last Serenade" by Killswitch! These are off their second album Alive or just Breathing. Shortly after the release of this album lead vocalist Jesse Leach for personal and health issues. I prefer Jesse myself but that's not to take away from Howard at all. The song I first heard by them was "My Curse" which is a Howard song, and a great one to check out as well! Now... Parkway Drive As I Lay Dying Elitist Sonic Syndicate 36 Crazyfists Threat Signal After The Burial (AND SO MANY MORE!!!) There are so many different types of metal its insane.

Killswitch Engage is amazing. Wish Howard never left the band. Truly one of the best singer/screamers especially back in the early 2000s. I know you did one other song, I believe The End of Heartache. But My Curse is the other song that I highly suggest. If you did My Curse, then The End of Heartache is what I suggest then😂
I saw this dudes live like 20yrs ago, super cool guys, got some pics with Adam, years later i was whatching The Price is Right one day and i saw a dude there and i was like, that looks like Adam Dutkiewicz, then the host mentioned his name and indeed it was Adam, i think he won a truck or something!
Killswitch Engage is an epic metalcore band. They have some amazing classic Metalcore songs. A lot of their songs messages are super positive or emotional - they show that the screaming/growling/harsh vocals isn't all Anger and Satan. Howard Jones is their second singer, and he's an absolute beast. Highly recommend some further deep diving.
Howard has one of the best voices in all of metal. Incredible. You should check out his new band, Sion. My buddy is his new drummer up in WA state. "The Blade" was the first release and is incredible
I absolutely love this cover. my parents brought me up on dio it was nice to see it revived. I got so many of my friends interested in the original after showing them this when it came out.
THis is the best cover of this song. Howard is amazing. Jesse Leech is also amazing with KSE. I rally can not choose who is the better singer for KSE. They should just have both of them full time. BK you should listen to "In Due Time" or Strength of the Mind" to get a taste of the Original Singer who came back to the group. Jesse Leech was the original singer then went to rehab and to train himself to do the screaming with out destroying his voice. Jesse came back to replace Howard. Again both singers are incredible.

There’s nothing like listening to Ronny sing this song live! His live performances are vocally some of the best you WILL ever hear in your life. This song is not that and the production screams “walmart”
