as a Logic user, this was super helpful in helping me explore the basics of Ableton! (the final beat is also 100000x better than my first attempt lol 🔥)
I began with FL Studio back in the day, then I crossed over to Ableton. I recently went to school for Music Production at Academy of Art San Francisco for a couple years and was forced to use Logic during that time. It's different for sure, but you basically can do all the same shit in either DAW. As soon as I stopped going to school, I jumped right back into Ableton and don't plan on switching.
I've never seen a tutorial this great ! you are truly a great teacher to all of us ! So inspiring, I'm saying this with all of my heart. Thank you again Nick !
Great video! I followed along and as an exercise I tried to recreate the entire beat at the end, but mine just sounds flat and amateurish by comparison. Anybody got any tips or vids you recommend for getting the rest of the way there? I think I did ok with the arrangement and setting levels but when it comes to mixing like widening in stereo and dynamics processing (compressors etc) I'm almost a complete noob.
