hi! im the writer and editor for this battle. i got this in my recommended and was very excited to see your thoughts on the video! i really enjoyed hearing your insights and analysis of the lyrics, and honestly you brought up some good points about the intent behind some lines that hadnt crossed my mind when i wrote it haha i did wanna fill in for some of the references that werent brought up in the video, just for fun: • when alastor says "hes an ace in the hole", it's also referencing his canonical asexuality. hence, the "i give no f**ks" right after • the line "forever an effeminate fellow like in world war II" references how alucard took the form of a young girl during that war, presumably to humiliate enemy soldiers • for the "canines brought your end" line, this is actually a reference to a more obscure piece of hazbin trivia, where creator vivziepop confirmed that alastor died in a vague "dog related incident" • the "b****es dont love your canon" part of the abridged line is a reference to the most popular joke from hellsing abridged, being "b****es love cannons" again, thank you so much for the reaction!
