Hello from Germany! I was very surprised by this performance. I've been watching your reactions to BTS for a long time, and here is Rammstein. Your German is better than mine. I have been teaching for a year now, since I am from Ukraine and I had to leave my homeland.

So happy to see you reacting to Rammstein! If you want to see a masterpiece performance from the singer please take a look at the official video of the piano version of Mein Herz Brennt and then the 'normal' official video. There are lives for these but trust me, the official versions are the ones to watch first for that particular song.

I saw them live in Prague last year and I will see them in Denmark next month. Amazing live performance. Funny that you mentioned Feuerengel, because the Drummer was the Drum teacher of my little brother lol. The drummer is also the son of our local Priest haha

Saw them in Gothenburg last year (the last of 3 shows they played at that arena) and there is no other band that can beat their live shows. Till does not walk around with the wings anymore, he was actually getting back problems from them since they weigh around 50 kilograms. sounds like the sound it reminds you of is the intro to the X-files.

The thing with this English translation from Engel is: They are the lyrics from "Angel", which is in fact an Rammstein OG with the intention behind it to get more international recognition back in the days - same as "You Hate" is for Du Hast. Flake though, their keayboardist, was dead-set against it and only willing to continue to stay with the band, if Till continued to write and sing in German. Yeah, nowadays they have Frühling in Paris, Te Quiero Puta!, Pu**y and Ausländer, but these songs were out out years later. Grüße vom Nachbarland!

hey! i love rammstein since ever. my mom, sis and me went to some concerts before. the translation is very poetic in english and you can catch the generall sense BUT its not really the right verbally translation tbh. its "god knows i dont want to be an angel". there is no cursing at all. If you want help to find the correct translations i would love to help you out. greetings from berlin! btw your german pronunciation is pretty clear!

I would love to see your reaction to their live performance of "Mein Teil". The best one on youtube so far I've encountered is live at Hurricane Festival 2013, and I would encourage you to research it afterwards. It's based on a crazy story, but well, it is Rammstein ;)

This translation is not word for word, but of course it is great. Well done! It carries the meaning of the song and its lyricism much better than a conventional translation by some dull machine. The second verse got a whole new lyric, but that doesn't matter. I like it.

9:56 Nope. Today their pyro show is supersafe. It looks dangerous but it´s not. They do the same show here in germany. When you pass Versammlungsstättenverordnung (event regulations) and Brandschutz (fire regulations) you are safe. I work as an Veranstalter (eventmanger) for public events, we have a saying here : Der organisierte Spaß ist eine sehr ernste Angelegenheit.(The organised fun is a serious matter.) Also since the Loveparade 2010 ; were people died; we take safety extra serious. P.S.: The lead singer Till is a certified pyrotechnican and the "blood & grease" is actually flameretardend gel. P.S.S.: If you want to see their dangerous shit, look for stuff from the 90s. I remember at least one time their whole backdrop caught fire and some part of the rig came down... they didn´t stoped playing or even missed a beat. That was dangerous but very epic... because no one got hurt. Or the time Flarke(keyboarder) had a segway (before the treadmill) lost control and crashed into Till.

Maybe you look for a literal translation instead of a poetic interpretation, because some of the nuances get lost due to artistic choices and style. Rammstein is very intentional about each word choice and the mood or atmosphere may get lost in translation.
