i actually like these short vids. i wouldnt have known about this symba verse otherwise. its especially nice to have these vids so i can stay up to date on whats happening since kendrick got the ball rolling
@@The-Legend-of-P I’m just saying that The Simpsons have gotten some new relevance because of the show being mentioned in 7MD. While also coincidentally, the most famous person with the name Simpson (OJ Simpson) died this week. Again, more inadvertent and indirect attention brought to The Simpsons.
Cole respects Kenny. For the rest of the hip-hop game, it might play out a little differently. I hope everyone goes at Cole, so it can ignite the hip-hop game even further.
@AI.REACTIONS definitely respect, that's why people are so mad, he has the lyrical ability. One thing I know about Hip-Hop it's possible to hurry someone's legacy, unfortunately he hurt his own.
@@chesareroach it’s fear buddy. He has the lyrical ability but he chose not to risk it cuz he’s scared shitless! Even Kendrick said “I’m homies with these rappers, but this is hip hop”. It was just about RAP and Cole fkn folded. 🤦♂️
@@garthyahudahandrews8504 so what if he was involved…??? This is Rap!! Kendrick wanted this lyrical sparring, J Cole has been rapping about putting our favorite rapper in a noose never letting them loose. And now he’s apologizing?? Why are u defending this pussified behavior?
@@mrstrangeworld5977 it's good that he is doing what he wants but he is 37 or 38 years old and at that age, he shouldn't have let other people pressurize him on making a diss, I feel like it's wrong to release a diss and back off before the opp replies, I mean it's a sport we just wanna see friendly competition but Cole said that people wanna see blood, nobody wants violence we just want a great diss battle, that's it. Cole wasn't 100% right in my opinion by making an apology
You guys are just proving Cole right. Cole never wanted to diss Kendrick. 7 min drill wasn't even a full diss, it was a warning shot. He felt pressured to release that song even though he didn't want to. Cole said everyone wants to see blood, everyone wants drama. It's crazy that the world wants to see friendship get destroy just for entertainment.
No rapper was ever scared of him. Name one rapper that said they fear j Cole? Now y'all taking this too far just because he didn't give you the personal entertainment you wanted. Cole is a music artist, not battle rapper. This didn't change anything about the way I view Cole.
@@ks_wallace2324 bro wtf do you mean hes not a battle rapper 😭 literally every single track and feature dude is asking to be tried and he would kill any mc on the mic. yall riders need to think for yourselves istg
Love your perspective fam. But tbh, we need Coles balance. Bro I grew up with this since the late 80s/90s. The hostility on records spills to the streets. It takes a real man to see that and be humble. I'll this on the table. The people who love the violence and hostility the most are the ones who dont have to feel the repercussions of it. I buried half my brothers and Uncles before I was 30. The violence and anger destroyed my family and my community. Still does. Ive been non active for 20 years with no apologies. I took the anger and turned into empathy. Took the violence and turned it into love. Took the state paid vacations an turned into a business that supports my family. The only hood nigga in my house is me. I preached to my kids this, and reinforced the fact we come from Kings & Queens. And because of that I have two kids in college, one who works with me and my youngest who is such a positive light in this world it gives me hope again. What Cole did is harder then any verse bruh. Respect and show him love. Otherwise you dont really respect this culture. It won't survive another decade of "realness" if we don't change. #jcoleisthebalanceweneed
I respect the culture, battling has always been in it. You’re acting like this was going to be some violent war. This is not pac and biggie. This is not Chicago drill music. It’s music. That’s all this ever would have been. I applaud you on being a great father and being a kind soul though! 💯 But this little back and forth wasn’t on any street shit! No where close!!
We are talking about Cole and Kendrick who do music about loving your family this would never become violent. Also this "peaceful attitude" is hypocritical to have. Cole can be competitive in his songs but to be competitive in real life is too much? If you are going to be a peaceful guy then always be that guy not just when it works in your benefit. This is not mature behavior this is being fake. The lesson here is: don't have a big mouth.
@@whatsthedirtYou can't predict that it wouldn't have become violent or at the very least personal, there are more rap disses between rappers where it eventually becomes personal. And certain things are said, that can't be taken back. There's more on that side of things compare to, it remaining friendly and nothing personal is said. J cole has killed all the features his been on, which is still competitive rap. Both people on a verse trying to out rap each other, or give their best verse and with that he killed benny he killed drake, he went toe to toe with absoul and daylt on his latest album. He rapped with royce, his just been killing it. J cole has it in him to rap with Kendrick its just that, by going at a friend he didn't feel right especially when being pressured into it by his homies. That's what I took from it, he shouldn't made the diss in the first place, but I get it the pressure from friend's, and some extremist fans wanted cole to just go in. When I say go in I mean no holds bar, like bring up personal stuff j cole done for kendrick, belittle his work ethic, bring up the diddy situation and how he helped him out. And making kendrick look like a snake, all of these things he even said it in his diss, that people want a toxic reply. And that his hesitant, and when he made his apology and explained it made sense imo. Cole is still one of the best rappers of all time, all the features he killed and will continue to kill no one can take away from that.
@@angelsunemtoledocabllero5801But it can get personal, thats one thing you can't take away. There extremist on both side of things that did want blood, and wouldn't care if j cole and kendrick never speak again.
@@mrstrangeworld5977 then he should stop that "I'm the goat talk" "I'm feeling like Muhammad Ali" and etc, etc. It doesn't make any sense to tout yourself as the goat if you don't think you would have anyone to challenge that. Cole responded because he had that competitive spirit that's been a core element of Hip Hop. Now why he apologized befuddles me, but it is what is. But stop capping. Kendrick and Cole were never going to take it to a street level. Fans like yourself have to compartmentalize battles and trust particular indivuals to stick to wax. Kendrick and Cole are very intelligent guys and know better to let it spill into some real shit. But I personally think what you're saying is just another excuse to cover the fact that J Cole apologized. It is what is, but don't act like WW3 was about to pop off lmao
Cole apologized for dissing a close friend and everybody mad. He might not go at kendrick because of their friendship but let some others mfs keep speaking on his name then yall might get the cole yall wanted.
Kendrick took little jabs at cole on "like that". Cole jabbed back with "7 min drill" but somehow convinced himself that him responding is morally wrong but kendrick dissing is fine 😂 wtf is j cole on!!?
Oh my gosh. This is Hip Hop! 😂 Like any sport you must compete to be number 1. Kobe and MJ were great friends but when it was time to compete they did not hold back on one another.
HEY! Because of J. Cole hip hop will be back! Rappers aren’t going to duck anymore beefs/battles. J. Cole set the bar of what NOT to do. I think ironically, this whole top 3 entanglement will inspire rappers to RAP again.
@@ks_wallace2324 that’s what happens in this new age of hip hop. The lil teccas, yeats, & Ken Carson’s aren’t built for it but for the rappers who actually spit this should be inspirational. Every rapper back in 2013 respected the Control diss/drop because it brought competition. Since then we haven’t had that. That’s why this new hip hop “beef” is so exciting.
Symba is 100% clout chasing. It's lame to see. He doesn't have the right to stand in the same room as Cole, diss or no diss. Yall got Cole and his achievements fucked up. I'm much more of a Kendrick fan but I've been having to defend Cole like crazy the past week 😂
Hes 100% clout chasing but it's smart because he's the 1st one to call out Cole since he folded at Dreamfest. In all likelihood the wider hip hop community won't be pressuring Cole to respond but it might fire up Symbas own fans and get them talking, it also probably fires up some fans who don't really listen to him but might have general interest in seeing if anyone wants to test Cole. And then there's the best case scenario, Cole disgusted that rappers feel they can test him with impunity might respond to Symba which gives him a huge opportunity to beef with one of the most prominent rappers in the game rn even if he's coped a black eye from this Kendrick situation
@@Mvrkyd If none of this talk about Cole being "removed" from the big three happens Symba would never have the audacity to say a word to Cole. He's taking the oppurtunity because right now Cole is looking like an easy target that doesn't fight back. He's just feeding into the narratives on social media.
@whatsthedirt that's clown behavior! If you really a Cole fan and have been for years, how tf you gonna get this mad at a man who just doesn't want to diss his friend?! He's been saying he's the best, true. So cole hold this L. But only for not wanting to compete against someone you respect. But yall toxic and overreacting. This man just dropped A FIRE 🔥 EP but yall upset he keeping it real and saying his diss was lame and CAP 🧢. Just remember all of this when cole finally address this on wax. 🤫 yall are emotional clowns 🤡 that flip-flop. Keep that same energy.
Rap is not the only genre where battling exists. The forms of music that hip hop emerge from all have competition. Blues has cutting contests. Reggae has sound clashes and toasting. Calypso has extempo. Even Rock has battle of the bands etc. Hip hop comes from a lineage of Black music and culture where creative competition is deeply a part. “The culture” does not stop at the boundaries of hip hop.. who ‘created’ hip hop (kids from the South Bronx who were mostly either first of second generation Caribbean kids [Reggae/Calypso] - Kool Herc (Jamaica) - Grandmaster Flash (Barbados) - Crazy Legs (Puerto Rico) etc OR from the southern USA [Blues]) come from the places that those other music and cultural expressions came from.. hip hop is not an isolated culture and not the only culture that has battling bc it comes from forms of expression that all have competition as an important part of them. All love.. just clarification.. (also from Toronto fyi)
Cole doesn't give a shit what anyone thinks. Some people grow up and change. stop telling a grown ass man what he should and shouldn't do. The only reason you reactors and YT music channels are so mad is because you get more views for reacting to diss tracks. It's hurting your pocket. Cole is still amazing without battle rapping. Cole isn't losing any sleep over anything any of you said. One more thing is that it shows how afraid these rappers were of Cole. They didn't say anything about him until he apologized. Cole looks at Kendrick as a friend. But the rest are open season.
Just an FYI, he said “you let the squad down” because when Cole grabbed the Mic to apologize, he said “I can see my man over there yelling ‘Don’t say it!’ But nah I gotta” He literally let his squad down. They didn’t want him to apologize.
@@tadi.unfortunately, that’s true. And it sucks because if Cole responds back at symba, everyone is going to say that he ran away from Kendrick cause he’s scared so he’d rather diss someone who isn’t much of a threat and isn’t on J. Cole’s level.
@@tadi. Nah cole won't lose. Niggas need to remember cole is lyrically goated that's why he is in the top 3 conversation. But he made it clear his a pacifist. He doesn't want to beef.
My guy I recently discovered your channel and I very much enjoy your passion and how thorough you are and I am currently enjoying your back catalogue like a Netflix binge but I have one question HOW are your numbers so small you have so much buzz about you and all your subs are all smart educated and passionate hip hop fans. Hold tight you are definitely gonna get crazy numbers soon. I feel it you definitely deserve it. If you taken time to read this as a sub or casual post a comment get the algorithm working
Haha thanks my guy! I only started the channel less than two years ago! Little videos like this one; I don’t really expect to do that well because it’s just me speaking my opinion with no story telling or anything. I’m still a fairly new RU-vidr compared to a lot of the guys that have been doing this for ages. The growth has been good though 😃
Someone is looking for clout. Its smart on his part. I get it, the hip hop community thinks cole messed up...but REGARDLESS what anyone thinks...cole is STILL nice and can still wash some of yalls favorite bar for bar.
this one sounds corny because he's just quoting a bunch from the verse and basically repeating the most basic take he's seen in ig comments or something
I feel like I’m riding a bit since I video hopped; but it’s admirable seeing you get your credit for your hardworking. Legitimate shoutout to you for getting your flowers 🎉. I feel like at this point you’re the only one qualified to explain how I saw this “Fall Off” coming a mile a way when Cole dissed Noname after she mentioned him and Kendrick on twitter (years ago). But speaks to how Cole has a history of contradicting his own discography. Man literally starts Snow on The Bluff; negating his degree and intelligence as if didn’t go hard about being a “College Boy” or almost Summa Cum Laude in Villumanti and has multiple iterations of the like where he does the same. When he checked her tone, hiding under the facade of she’s a Queen who’s more intelligent than him and had the “privilege” of an awareness in her parents, books and learning about African American culture when he himself was THE PRESIDENT of pan African - American Student Coalition and currently a rich rapper who has a multitude of avenues to learn at his disposal that’s when it solidified what I’ve been know this man’s a fraud when it comes to his pen. But maybe it’s a task to ask since it speaks on blackness, so my bad 😂. But as a fellow hiphophead, I think a dissection of why having a steady pen of integrity/believability is important. Or maybe I just like breaking down bars too much and get hyper fixated. 🤷🏽♀️ Lol Regardless you’re remarkable. I prefer the longer videos but eat off these short jawns too. Lol
And people wonder why Andre 3000 left this toxic ish! People act like today’s “beef” isn’t TOTALLY different than 1990’s, early 2000’s beef. Social media has CHANGED the game! Couldn’t imagine a whole elephant sitting on my chest for doing what was right for me. We have so many rappers who won the beef-rap-battle and lost their lives. Wake up, people…soooo not this serious! And I’m a consummate of Rap!
Dang i bet a lot of little rappers gonna use this and try to make a come up. Its inspiring me to diss everyone just to see if i get a reply and ill take the L and be like damn its an honer to get dissed by Kendrick and Cole. Ill be like damn i agree with them 😂😂😂
The Problem Is That some Rappers Cant Keep The Smoke On Wax/On a song.. It Always Bleed Into The streets With Some Rappers, So I Get It.. Cole is a Cool Guy and Dont Want to make issues with people, He is Hip hop so he love to work with out of them and friends.. So I Get it.. Won't change how I Look at Cole, He's Still a Beast and will Continue to be one!!!
I'm a J.Cole fan who's just as disappointed and hurt by what Cole did earlier this week. But lil Symba is nothing compared to Grown Simba. This particular move is corny as hell.
I’m just gonna tell myself that you changed your outro song because you already blowing up and NOT because Jermaine pissed us all off by apologizing! 😂😩 Happy to see you’re getting your shine What’s the Dirt! 🫶🏾
that guy simba is desperate for clicks, first say that he can beat Eminem and now he saw that j cole declared that he is not of this diss phase he found opportunities damn
When I heard that I was eyes wide like okaaaaay Symba let’s gooo😮💨😮💨😮💨cause we all felt the same…and though I’m sad about Cole and I mean hurt smh this energy Symba gave is the emcee energy we need!!!
I think this is the fuel Cole needs. Now he doesn't have to feel some kind of way about talking greasy because there's no relationship between Cole and Symba
