You're welcome guys! Hollywood, i'd never roast you for comparisons😀not a bad assessment. Smokeys on the ball tho, it is Industrial metal, but originating from Norwegian black metal. They were (kinda) like a supergroup, with members from Mayhem, Dimmu Borgir, Cradle etc. Nexus Polaris is a bit more on the symphonic power metal side, and is suposed to be their masterpiece - have to agree... saw them play in Oslo, Norway.

Fun fact, the vocalist played bass in Dimmu Borgir, the female singer did vocals for Cradle of Filth, and that's Hellhammer of the band Mayhem on drums.

dude i dont know how or why i found this band in like 2003, i was like 9... ended up pulling them out of my hat in my twenties and was surprised how original it was and how well the production holds up!!!

@@unificy I'm going to make a wild guess that you heard them in the CKY or CKY2K videos (Bam Margera and co. 's "Jackass" videos before Jackass.) I believe this song and Puritania were on there.

Back in the mid, lave 1990's they went by the name "Covenant" but due to some dispute over band name copyrites, they had to change their name. So by doing that they also totally changed the look and style of the music. They used to make melodic black metal, and released a solid album back in 1997. But then they changed and released "Nexus polaris" which is an album you definitely have to take a listen to!! Cheers guys \m/

The best way I can describe what I just heard was a combination of King Diamond, Rob Zombie and Nightwish. Bits and pieces of industrial, power metal and a touch of death metal. Hell of a song for my first listen to them.

Funny story is that they asked Tarja to do the female vocals on this album, but turned down the request by thinking that the band was just "some random no-named group..." ...So the band picked some other lady to do the duty and after the album was released and hyped all over the place, suddenly Tarja (or her management..!) were interested to join! :D

Jan Axel Blomberg (Hellhammer) from black metal band Mayhem is the drummer for this album and a few other albums for this band.

as much as this band is underrated, they still have won awards, and have fans from other bands including Korn and Slipknot. Kovenant could have become huge!! Shame they r still inactive...no hope for Aria Galactica

yea i heard that too, some of the SkipknoT guys liked watching them play from the side of the stage. Deathstars i reckon were influenced by Kovenant aswell.

The SInger, is an old member of Dimmu Borgir, under the name Nagash. For The Kovenant it became Lex Icon. He also has a band called Troll, he started up Chrome Division which is a true hardrock, beer and beelzebub band. Pretty cool, they made a cover "Ghost Riders in the sky " which is really cool. He also plays in Carpe Tenebrum (grap the beer) And several other bands. In the last days i heared of the band they were finishing up the album Aria Galatica. But it never released. And it sounded so promising back then.

I love this song/band! Their music sounds as good now as when it came out. Glad I saw them live in their animatronic cybergoth look. Nexus Polaris is different but also amazing album.

Never heard off this band , but there are some things in this that makes me think off King Diamonds album " The Eye " . U should check that album out , its a whole story about witches in the 1800 or something , maybe further back , cant remember . Deff awesome album. Will suggest Father Picard as first song ! ( they are all good , so hard to pick one lol ) Great reaction as always !

Can you guys please PLLEEEEAASE react to S.U.I.T (So Us Is This) by Blindspott? They're a massive band here in NZ and they go freakin hard! They're basically Nu Metal. They've been around since the late 90s. I think you two would bloody love them. I can't afford patreon atm to request it. But i have a BUNCH of nz bands i think you guys would absaloutly love. Same band! 😊 Started as Covenant in 1993, then changed to The Kovenant (as this video, 1999), progressing from Death and black metal to Cyber Industrial metal. genius of their times!

They were in my regular rotation 20-15 years ago. Too bad they never made any more albums. Great band! Loving the Cradle of Filth shirt. When you guys gonna react to 'Lord Abortion'? It's so up your alley! Filth at it's most brutal!
