The mac miller Tiny Desk Concert is one of the best live performances of all time. It has 3 songs which are all great and the last one is a masterpiece.
The whole album Circles is amazing, the album itself is a circle with the last song ending on an incomplete note and the first song starting with that completing note
Memento mori is Latin for "remember that you [have to] die" You can interpret him carving that into the coffin in many ways knowing the meaning behind it, figured I'd share in case you didn't know! Some recommendations for a future video, all off of Faces (arguably Mac's darkest mixtape/album) My fav: New faces v2 feat earl sweatshirt Other great ones: Wedding, Funeral, and Grand finale. Especially these last 2, but I highly encourage you to listen to it all from start to finish as it's his best work IMO. Also it's not super popular for many reasons but you asked for older Mac songs- his Delusional Thomas (alter ego) mixtape is old and has some of his most creative songs (that's a nice way of putting it) I reccomend just Taunt give these ones a listen though lol. Halo and Vertigo are 2 song names I remember Great video as always, I look forward to the next!
After the recommendation from one of your Joji videos, I came here, absolutely loved the Circles album. Apart from that can see how far you have both come, the quality of the content has leveled up from here in just over a year! And that's not to say this isn't a good video.
The way he punched out of the coffin is a reference to the movie “kill bill” where she (Uma Thurman) learns how to punch someone from an inch away and uses the technique to escape her coffin. Sorry if someone already commented this since I didn’t read them.
the whole mixtape faces just officially released it’s old from 2014 but it’s timeless and saved my life, i think you’d love it man genuinely from the bottom of my heart i think everyone who loves music would love faces
If you can find the original version from 2014 I highly recommend that above the official release. They had to cut numerous samples to release the official that really made the initial cut something special.
check out the Faces EP, when mac made that he was in the deepest in the drug rabbithole, he said in an interview he was sure he would die after that, he even says his goodbyes on the final track "grand finale". the whole EP is a masterpiece, check it out sometime
Mac Miller Yes!!! Man I miss Mac so much 💔💔💔 I remember him still making music and his videos still in Pittsburgh tryna come up...damn Mac, you still break my heart just as much as Peep..💔💔
I had so much fun doing this reaction video with my son on this artist!! And so thrilled we have patreon now so we can put the whole videos there with extra bonus songs. I never heard of this artist but I guess this is my fav up till now! And I found out why the last song sounded so familiar and I know now what song it is ! Do you know too? I would love to hear in the comments what you think , and what is your fav song ? Can’t wait to listen more to this 🥰
Loved the reaction so much! Mac is my favourite ever and he helps me so much with hard times... yesterday marked his death (3 years ago) and still hurts... Also, memento mori = remember that you will die. After knowing that, the song hits a bit different. Hope to see more Mac reactions from you guys
If he doesn't do a reaction video for you, do yourself a favour and watch his TinyDesk live perfromance of his song named "2009", it slaps so hard, especially now that mac is gone 😔
I think good news actually composed by Mac. There's videos of him playing the chords on guitar and making the bass line. It gives off a certain vibe from a lot of older songs. But with his own style.
I'm really glad momma taunt liked these songs. Some artists are brilliant story tellers or insane wordsmiths that can spin words together like threads to cloth. He had a way of painting a picture for the listener, something not many musical artists are capable of.
He's sending the message that if he doesn't focus on his self care he knew this was where he would eventually be...which obv unfortunately did happen. He was very profetic about his premature death...it's a shame he passed so young. I just hope he's found peace..I've been thru the addiction & mental health battles myself so I get it more than anyone can. But the selfish part of me wishes he were still here and able to continue evolving & creating more incredible music. He was truly just finding his real self as he got a bit older...shame. RIP Mac ✌🏼🖤
This video made me realize again how much I miss him. Every time he dropped an album or tape since 2013, I had it on repeat for months. When The Devine Feminine came out I literally didn’t listen to anything else for at least 2 months.
RU-vid decided this video needed 3 hours to upload the HD version, BUT HERE IT IS! Let me know your favorite mac songs because we will 100% do more mac in the future!
You guys should react to Kool-aid and Frozen pizza, Dunno, Come back to earth, whats the use, Senior skip day, and I'm not real. These songs in my opinion are all diverse and dynamic, obviously they're also some of Mac's best discography
You can find a video of the guy who produced the songs for mac after he died and he states that mac produced most of all the songs in circles. He just added finishing touches to the editing.
If you can find anything from when he was known as easy Mac then that’s rare, But look into his alter egos. Larry fisherman, Larry lovestein, delusional Thomas, etc. I’m pretty sure he had 5 alter egos maybe more
I dont think its sampled by a song that she likes, because the sampled song is ''Party on Fifth Ave'' and ''S.D.S.'' both from the man himself. But it does have some kind of beatles feel to it.
amazing video dude, it allows me to see a different perspective of mac and seeing her reaction of him for the first time was amazing. maybe next time you do a kid cudi reaction.
Honestly, Mac’s freestyles are amazing. Maybe consider reacting to some freestyles. Speaking of freestyles, I know you’re a big juice fan. Juice is second to none with freestyles. Juice goes off the top, makes it up as he goes and it’s incredible.
I'm so glad I found this video! I really enjoyed how much you actually dove into the meaning behind the lyrics, I felt like you really connected with the vibe of the songs! I found it fascinating how you interpreted it, Great reaction! Would love to see more of this, Mac is one of my favorites, he's got so many songs I'd love to see you react to, so many different emotions and styles, he was truly gifted as a musician! Rip Mac Miller, forever missed
Please consider reacting to Perfect Circle/ Godspeed. And if you do, make sure to have a box of tissues near you. I tear up every time I hear it, especially now he’s gone.
It's just weird because the making of swimming and circles took place at 2016, where he releases the album 2yrs after that. he's like he is very ready and knew his end is coming.
loved mac so much, stumbled onto this but glad I did. Good to have a reaction channel that is sort of exploring the reasons behind certain music videos and lyrics
Btw Circles is almost finished when he died (because it's supposed to be complimenting Swimming so while he's making it he's also working on Circles at that time period), the producer Jon Brion took the project and finished it for Mac and his Family.
I couldn’t imagine the producer’s mentality going into having this vibe of a time working on this project with Mac and being in the studio to being alone on it and constantly hearing his voice after he’s passed on. The need to finish this and make it justifiable for Mac must’ve been something.
Another night alone, live free and castle made of sand for the old school Mac songs.. Many other gems out there, some of which I'm sure were commented here.
Love the video! First one I have seen from your channel. You should check out star room by mac miller. It shows the beginning of him being open with the darkness
Many of his most iconic songs and a lot of the fan favorites are older songs. Check out faces, it just came to streaming service. Some random older songs are Pure, The Spins, and PA Nights
Some oldie goldies by the one and only Larry fish would be; diamonds and gold, I’ll be there, I’m not real, objects in the mirror, Earth (ft future), poppy and so so much more (honestly just do an album/EP reaction to faces) honest reactions btw, it’s hard not to tear up listening to this man especially for the first time now with all things considered, much love man 🤙🏼
Watching Movies with the Sound Off, K.I.D.S and Beat Day Ever albums are what put me onto Mac, songs to listen to, Best Day Ever(song), Knock Knock, Donald Trump, The Spins, Nikes On My Feet, Missed Calls, Objects in the Mirror, Favorite Part, Frick Park Market, there's more good songs but I'd be typing all day lol
Some of Macs alter egos like Delusional Thomas and Larry Lovestein are worth taking a watch or listen really but songs like.. my grandpa used to carry a flask, You, Grand finale off faces, and you should on your own anyone who reads this check out the song Pure, and funny papers by Mac I think those were possibly some of the last songs he made in terms of lyrics and the sound he was going for just gives me the vibe they were some of his last songs
I googled if Good News was sampled, and found out it's very similar to the Toy Story song "You've Got a Friend in Me". Both beautiful songs, really made me happy to know that 😁
Hello! I'm a little late to the party but here are my suggestions! "Funeral" and "Grand Finale", off of Faces "2009" and "Wings", off of Swimming "Hand Me Downs" and "Everybody", off of Circles All of these choices are a bit less of his "rap" stuff and very introspective, like much of his music. Not to say his "rap" style music isn't, the style of these songs just help portray the feeling very effectively. Oh and very good video! So glad to see that your mother could take his music at more than face value, it really is so much more than it seems. I'm excited to see her reaction and appreciation for more of his work.
ayeee! dope video, and rest in peace to Mac Miller. he was a very talented artist. i have a suggestion, could you and your mom react to sad xxxtentacion songs and another video with hard x songs. that would be fye ash. here’s a few song suggestions for each video: Deeper songs: Snow I spoke to a devil in Miami and he said everything would be fine Slipknot Hype songs: Off the Wall ft Ski Mask Yung Bratz ImSippingTeaInYoHood I think the deeper songs are very introspective and really captures X’s mindset. The hype songs really captures a different hype version of X in each song, so it can really show the versatility of his art. Y’all are super underrated and i really enjoy your content! It’s only going up from here, thank you for making content.
I d recommend u two react to Hands me down, Another Night, Surf and Woods so that u can have both chill and more catchy songs (btw love ur reaction videos)
