Talented performers now double as influencers so record companies double down with big money contracts because they're literally "too big to fail," at least on a short term volume basis. That doesn't mean the content they put out during that period of time can't/ or shouldn't be evaluated on its artistic merit. Not always the case, but in my experience listening to artists after they blow up, either they try too hard to change the style on a muse, or just go on a full ego driven trip. One of my favorite albums ever is The Strokes 2nd album Room on Fire. Just back in the lab.... Doing what made them a great band. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Listening to every album after was heartbreaking

But the difference is when he makes takes like lil Wayne album's a 3/10 and stuff. It's great album's but he'll call them bad. It's a difference between calling bad music bad, and calling good music ass. He will review artists he already doesn't like then be surprised to give them a 0. Buddy It's not your cup of tea. You wouldn't like it if it was their best work so how can you decide and know? If you were to rank songs of a artist you thought was okay then it's aight as it can be good to you. I don't like most country music. Only country song I like is The Righteous Hand of God. Now would it make make sense for me to go ranking tons of country songs when in my opinion they all are gonna get a 0 or 1? It's the same for artist you don't like. When their best songs are ass to you then how could you rank it fairly? It's not for you.

Thing is. On one hand, art is personal, and time-consuming, and it's understandable why artists would get emotional when someone doesn't care for their work and makes that a public statement. On the other hand, it is always a bad idea to publicly go after the person who made the statement that they don't like your art. You're not going to change their mind, you're not going to make them reconsider the value of the work. It just makes you, the artist, look bad. You can absolutely have feeling when someone says they don't like your art, but you don't need to go out and publicly deride someone for that opinion.
