The promo they released for the announcement of what we now know as Rapterra has an alligator, cheetahs, and a spider. Sound familiar? I think it’s not a coincidence.
@@COASTERnet The 1st promo has a monkey and antelopes. Add in the jungle hawk and you have 6. Except for the map has a snake/scorpion and no mention of antelopes. So, the mystery continues…
Maybe that map is showing where a freshwater lagoon or fountain will go? Or restroom with drinking fountain or drink stall. Or a row of bottled water vending machines.
Retheme Backlot to an off road atv and Flight of Fear to a jungle research station. A jaguar retheme of P305 would be ideal with red supports and black track.
There are definitely some throwbacks to Volcano, but it's also enough to be it's own coaster. The last 360° roll definitely reminds me of the inline twists on Volcano, and the first element after the launch is reminiscent of the upwards section in volcano, but without the roll at the top. Having only done theme parks on the east coast PA, VA, MD and FL, I've never done a wing coaster, so that is definitely exciting. It will definitely be a driver for some visitors, but BG is also launching their new coaster next year. So great competition there, and I'm glad Cedar Fair decided to scrap the first plane and expand a bit. Definitely hope the theming stays. Also the backlog stunt coaster, it needs new trains 🤣. Thing rivals grizzly for how bad those seats beat you up, and grizzle feels like a moving car wreck
Since they finished re-tracking Grizzly, it’s back to being awesome again! I’m not too confident in the BGW coaster. It’s clearly a family coaster. I’m thinking next year, I’ll drop my BGW membership, and do Prestige Pass again at KIngs Dominion (it was great!) and do the All Parks Add-on. That way I can visit as many of the Six Flags/Cedar Fair parks I can get to…😊!
Here's my two cents...do I like the coaster...color .yes...now the name..I hate....i wanted an actual bird name..this is basically cop out of raptor...and the theming... their no near miss elements....that's what a wing coaster isssss.and I'm not the only on saying this..everyone is..I'm hoping KD reads the comments and puts in a near miss on the last z g roll..I'm telling you...if they don't..this will not do as good as volcano... period...💯💯🎤🎤🎤
Rapterra is a play on a raptor which is a bird of prey. The name works but I too would like it to be themed to a more specific raptor like maybe the Harpy Eagle which is native to the Amazon rainforest.
@@erick2853No rides in Jungle-X will ever be that specific to one variety of a species because J-X is themed as a mixture of the atmosphere of any jungle on any continent.
