Volcano The Blast Coaster construction in 1998 and opening with 8 seats- Paramount's Kings Dominion 

Watching this beast rise up from the old Lost World mountain, plus it’s troubled opening season, makes it one of the most historical coasters ever. Still one of the most intense launch coasters I’ve ridden (I rode it in 2015)

Imagine the launch with only 8 seats. I miss this ride so much. It would be cool to see kings dominion make another inverted launch coaster.

I was at Kings Dominion in late July 1998 and I saw Volcano. But it had not opened yet, as it would open on August 3rd of that year. I would not go to Kings Dominion until 2016 when it was closed the day I went. In 2017, I was able to get two rides on Volcano on two separate trips, both having a long line to wait in. It was an awesome coaster though, very unique.

Just finding this footage a few days after Blue Streak was taken from us..... I feel like the coaster gods just want me to break down into tears all year. Volcano was taken away well before it ever should have been and it's removal nearly destroyed KD.

Miss this ride so much the last time I rode it was in 2016 and I have gone on this ride tons of times
